~~BIRTH STORY~~

Marcella is finally here! She was born Saturday, September 15th, at 12:23am. I woke up on friday, sep. 14th at 8:30 am with mild contractions. I waited until almost 1pm to go to the clinic. They were getting worse and coming closer together, but I still managed to walk there (don't have a car) and I was already dilated to 5cm!!! I went to the hospital at 2ish, and I waited until 7pm to get an epidural. I was 8cm, and they broke my water. It was sooooo painful until then...god contractions SUCK! By 10:30 I felt a lot of pressure and pain (the epidural started to fade) but they made me wait until 12am to push, b/c according to them, the baby was not coming down fast enough. At 12:05am I started some "practice pushes" with just the nurse and my b/f. She had given me a little warning talk about delivery, telling me that first time moms (esp. with epidurals) can take up to 3 hrs to get the baby out. HA. After one set of pushes (3 per contraction) the nurse looked down there and was like, "STOP!!! I can see the head!" She ran to get the doctor, and the room filled up with nurses and the doctor. I pushed four more sets and her head came out. WOW let me tell you, that felt very strange, aside from being unbelievably painful!! Marcella started screaming while she was still inside me!!! It took one more push to get her body out and she was born! It was all over very fast...and I was very emotional when I held her. I cried for so long. I never knew I could love anyone so much.

Marcella had her 2 month check up on friday...UGH watching your baby get held down and stabbed with needles is NOT FUN. LOL I cried more than she did. She's weighing in at 12 lbs, 13 oz. HUGE, I know. I must have some super milk. She is 23 inches long. She's smiling and cooing a lot now, I can't believe it. Her vocabulary now consists of: gooo, ahhhhhhhhh, owwww, lawwww and meoww (no joke). She tries to stand up all the time, she'll push up when I pick her up. Everyday I have to pinch myself, it seems like only yesterday I was sitting on the toilet, crying, afraid, staring at that little positive sign. I could have never known that I would be blessed with a life so beautiful. She's my everything.

My parents watch her one day a week so I can get things done, they are so amazing. She eats formula while they watch her, but the rest of her diet comes right outta me! I love that I can nourish her, and that she needs me for now...lol. I am trying to find a job soon, so that I can BEGIN to pay my parents back for supporting me financially for the last 5 months...I am registered for my last semester of classes, they start January 14...Ugh I'm going to be so busy. Marcella will be 4 months then. I don't want to leave my little girl for so long, but it has to be done.

I am trying not to blink, so that I don't miss anything......
