4-15-08- The start of my two week visits. Everything was good. Not much to report. Doctor doesn't seem to think I will have to have a c-section, so ladies lets hope not!! Baby's heartbeat was good as well as my b/p! Still have not found a doctor for Justin nor have I signed up for any birthing classes. I better start looking into that. Next appointment is on the 28th! 34 weeks!!

4-2-08- Today was my regular monthly visit. My appointment was at 11:45am and I didn't see the doctor until a little after 1pm! I was so heated! I left work shortly after 11 and didn't return until quarter to 2! Apparently the doctor I was suppose to see had an emergency. So I had to wait to see the other doctor who was seeing my doctors paitents and her paitents as well. Any who, the doctor that I saw I actually really liked her. She was very informative and had a sense of humor. I hope I get her to deliver Justin. She mentioned nothing about my weight which I guess seems to be fine to her atleast. She estimated that Justin is around 4.5-5lbs right now, which seems to be a lot because I still have 2 more months to go! There is still talk about a c-section if he is really a big baby. They tend to do c-sections if the baby is over 9lbs. At the rate I am going, seems like Justin is going to be big! His heartbeat is good and not to mention that while she was checking his heartbeat I was having contractions! I felt nothing! My b/p is good too. My next appointment is on April 15!

3-4-08- Monthly visit was today. Not a very happy visit. I have gained too much weight!! (I type this while I am eating cheese puffs.) They measured my tummy for the first time, which seems to be growing at a perfect pace for being 26 weeks. I don't know where all the weight is going if my tummy is at a good size. Baby's heart rate and my b/p were perfect. Doctor discussed with me that I will have my glucose testing next week and if it turns out that I have gestational diabetes they will put me on a strict diet! We also discussed that if I end up having a big baby, I might want to consider a c-section to avoid stress on myself and the baby. Doctor wants me to register with the hospital for my delivery. I guess I was suppose to do that last month but no one ever told me to do so. She also wants me to consider taking some parenting and lamaze classes at the hospital. It's getting closer ladies!! My next appointment is April 2. I will be 30 weeks and will start to see my doctor ever 2 weeks after that appointment!!

2-4-08- Today I had my monthly visit. Everything went well. Doctor told me to cut back on my carbs. No more pasta, rice, breads, etc. It's so hard to cut back when you are Italian and your hubby is Puerto Rican. All we eat is pasta and rice! She told me that I can only gain another 10-15lbs and I'm like, I have 4 more months to go!! Baby's heart rate was 140 and I was concerned beause all other visits his rate was much higher. She told me not to worry. Baby's rate is lower when he is sleeping than when he is active. Not much really happened this visit. Next visit is March 4!! I will be 26 weeks!!

1-14-08- Well ladies, I was hopping for a girl but God wanted me to have a baby boy!! Today was my level 2 u/s. I spent about 30 mins with the u/s tech and everything is good. Baby is measuring right on schedule. Baby's heart beat was excellent and he weighs just under a pound. He was moving all around. Had his legs crossed, stretched, and even waved like he knew we were watching him. It was so cute!! I am so happy!! My next appointment is on 2-4-08! I will be 23 weeks!! Half way there!! I am so excited!! I want him here already!!

12-17-07- Today I had my monthly check up. Not much happened at this visit. I was hoping that they would do an u/s and tell me what I am having. Nope! I have to wait until next month! I am just so anxious to find out! I want a lil girl so bad! All they did this visit was weigh me which I have not gained any weight since my last visit, check my blood pressure and draw blood to check for down syndrome and to see if there is a hole in the baby's spine. I hope everything is fine. My next appointment is 1-14-08 and I will find out what I am having!!

11-29-07- Went to the ER for chest pains. I had this pain under my right breast everytime I breathed in and when I coughed. I have asthma so I thought this could be the start of an asthma attack. I usually get really nervous when I have an asthma attack which is usally never and plus me being pregnant really put me in distressed. So of course naturally I started worring about the baby. I began to feel sick in the waiting room and just knew that I was going to get sick. With out a doubt I ran to the restroom and got sick. They immediately brought me to a bed and gave me a bucket just incase. The nurse came in and put me on a monitor to make sure my heart and oxygen were regular. Another nurse came in with a fetal doppler to check to make sure the baby was ok. That was my main concern. She had a hard time finding the lil guy, he was moving all over the place. Finally she got em' and the heartbeat was perfect! I started to feel much better knowing that the baby was fine. They did an EKG as well and that came back fine. The outcome of my nice ER visit was heartburn!! Go figure. Apparently since I get heartburn pretty much everyday, my esophagus had tightened up causing chest pain! Beware ladies!!

11-19-07- Went to the doctor today. Everything is great! Baby's heartbeat is 160 bpm and about 4cm from head to butt. I am 11w and 2d. My doctor did another u/s and this one was from my belly. The baby is starting to really look like a baby!! My next doctors appt. is 12-17-07 and I will be 15 weeks!! I won't find out the sex until about 18-20 weeks. The long awaited anticipation!
