Hello! My name is Danielle and I have been married to Keith for 7 years. I am due Feb 8 and am so excited! We went for our u/s and we have a healthy, ACTIVE, boy on the way. Keith was in awe at the site of him, as was I. It is so amazing to see every part of them isnt it!? We decided to name him Jericho Dale and do his nursery colors in royal blue and chocolate with Classic Winnie the Pooh. I have been in a major baking mood and usually bake something every day after work or dinner. Keith enjoys it.... It must be nesting settling in hugh. I am in love with being pregnant and am very thrilled to have my bump. It is wonderful to be able to fall in love immediatly even before they are born.
Oct. 7: Jericho has been moving every hour today! I love the feeling. He does have a tendency to punch my bladder already though...... little jokster. He has kicked so hard that I can feel it with my hand now but as soon as I want Keith to feel it he stops. We decided to do "belly time" every night in hopes that he can feel it but Jericho must know his Daddy's hands versus mine.
Oct 9: We went for another checkup today. Our little guy was moving the whole time. The Doc commented on his activity (good comments). It is so great to hear his little heartbeat, it was 160. Good times!
Oct. 17: I cannot believe that I am in week 23 now. As much as I am excited, I am also sad. I love spending time with my little one in my belly, it is so precious having just mommy and Jericho time. So, I am trying to soak up as much as I can. I am excited for Keith to hold him though and for us to be a family! Jericho seems to be awake alot these days but still doesnt let his Daddy feel him much....
Oct. 18: I have been sick with a stomach bug.... It hurts so much when you are pregnant! Keith brought me home some gatorade, saltines, and veggie soup. I was able to keep down a couple saltines and a little broth, thank goodness. It must not be too hard on my little man because he has been kicking and moving up a storm the whole time. On the upside, his nursery furniture arrived today. Keith ordered it. He ordered a crib, changer, and dresser, all matching. Boy he is excited.
Oct. 26: The nursery furniture arrived last week, Yay. I came home yesterday and my hubby had cleaned out the baby room (we had alot of boxes from moving) and put together the changer and dresser for me. I was so happy! He said he would put the crib together next week. I filled the dresser and changer with our little ones clothes, diapers, and blankets. I am so excited. I started reading to Jericho every night. I have been singing to him since my 12 week but just recently started reading to him. It is very special.
Nov. 1: My belly has grown so much, it is now 39 inches. Wow. Jericho will have quiet days where he will move softly and then he gets a burst of energy and lets me have it. It feels like when you swim under water and then kick off the side of the pool. He amazes me.
Nov. 7: Keith and I were out to dinner with some friends when Jericho started kicking me hard. I did not want to stop the conversation so I just took Keith's hand and put it on my belly. He must have been shocked at the force inside me because he stopped in mid-sentence and said loudly "WOW". He just stared at me and smiled. Jericho has not let him feel him much so it was nice. Now when Keith gets home from shift he puts his hand on my belly in hope that he will be kicked.
Nov. 24: The days were going so fast until now. I was loving being pregnant and having just mommy and baby time. Now I am finding myself so excited for the day to come that I can meet my son. He amazes me every day and I am in love. He rolls around and kicks and jabs alot throughout the day now. Keith can feel him every night now. I love it when he rolls against my arm and pushes against my hands. Keith set up the crib for me so now I just have to organize the room. I have been sick with a nasty virus lately so my energy level has been low. Maybe next week. Only 11 more weeks! I cannot wait!
Dec. 4: Keith and I got to feel Jericho hiccup tonight for the first time. What a fun feeling. Daddy had just finished reading Go Dog Go to us and put his hand on my belly. I started to feel Jericho move and then the little bumps became rather steady. We both felt it for a while. How special! Jericho has been active and rolling around alot. He loves to kick under my ribs and enjoys the right side of his home. He is starting to push on my bladder alot though, ouch. I still feel great and am loving our time together. I am excited to meet him though....
Dec. 17: I decided to take today off to spend with Keith. We have not got to see much of each other lately. We were able to spend the whole weekend together, Yay. We finally got the baby room organized. We do not have much yet but atleast it is ready to go and looks nice. Jericho has the hiccups alot now. it seems like every night and this morning also. My belly is now 41 inches, wowzer. I cannot believe we only have 8 weeks left, although I have a feeling he is going to make me wait longer. Haha. I still feel good and no swelling so far.
Dec. 28: My parents came to visit us for the weekend before Christmas. I miss them so much. It was great to see them. My Mom and sister were able to experience the many movements of my little man and they loved every minute of it. It was exciting to show off his clothes and his awaiting room. For Christmas, it was just Keith and I but it was great. We just found out that he will be leaving for Iraq in August so it was special to just have the holiday to ourselves. Jericho has been moving alot still and gets the hiccups about 4 times a day. I still love it and love being pregnant.
Jan. 24: I cannot believe that I only have two weeks left. It has gone so fast to me. My belly is huge now, 44 inches. Wow. Jericho moves up a storm still. He enjoys putting his foot under my rib and popping it back out. Funny little man. His nursery looks cute and is coming along. Finally got some of his clothes washed and car seat ready. I have had some light contractions and a ton of braxton hicks. Also have some ligament pain, big time. Makes my knees buckle. As excited as I am for him to be here, I am going to miss him in my belly big time. I get emotional just thinking about it. He still amazes me every day. Oh, my hubby shaved my legs and painted my toes for me today. Atleast I know I will have pretty feet when I give birth!
Feb. 2: Things have been crazy lately. Our car was supposed to be fixed but when we got it back, it still had the same problems. So, we have to take it back again on Tuesday. The car we were borrowing also broke down. AAGGHH. The snow is still crazy, we have about 3 feet or so in most places. Other than that, things are well. My body is hurting now and I am so tired but I guess it is not ready to have baby boy yet. He is not as active as before but still moves around a bit to let us know he is alright in there. He does his daily jabbing down low, makes me hurt and almost yelp when he does it, little funny man. Daddy still likes to try and feel him move, I love it.
Feb. 16: Well, still pregnant with baby boy. I don't mind but am so bored and a little worried that his stay will hurt him. Just have to trust in the Lord at this point though. On the upside, my Doc will be back on Monday to talk to me and meet with Keith and I. I have missed her. You don't know how attached you can get to the Doc that you have been meeting with, wow. There is that part of me know that just really wants him out to hold and kiss.....
