I had mastitis in April while out of town. I thought I would die. I called my doctor & she prescribed antibiotics for me. Within 24 hours of the antibiotics I started to feel better so hang in there. Keep nursing your baby...even though it hurts like crazy. I soaked my boob in a warm bowl of water...sounds weird but it worked...& then nursed my baby every two hours. I always started w/ the sore boob first b/c you really need to drain it out. I feel for you. xo It will get better though. You also need to rest. Take your baby & climb into bed...shut out the rest of the world for a day or two. Hope this is somewhat helpful.

hi, Mandi. I have had 3 kids and mastitis several times. When I first had it I didnt know what it was, then when I got it later I would get antibiotics but one day I tried hot and cold compresses over the area. This worked. I didnt need antibtiocs for it. Try this if you are not going to be seen til tomorrow. have some panadol and get two bowls of water and two face washers - get the hot one and when it goes cold put the cold one on it, then when that one warms up, use the hot one agaiin. Also keep feeding even though it might hurt. Good luck with it - persevere - I had it heaps! ps I dont mean to diss what someone else told you but I never went to hospital with my mastitis and I never had to have an iv. It is not life threatening

hi! crappy to hear it's mastitis get loads of rest! I know it's really painful but the more the babe nurses from that side the faster you'll heal! You have to get the milk out and it will heal so fast! Take all meds drink water! take care! i know the feeling it's like the flu times 100. It'll get better though! remember hot and cold compresses!

Your little guy may be teething, babies usually sprout there first tooth anywhere from 4 months on, sometimes on rare occassions even earlier, has your little guy been drooling a lot?

Aarons Mommy - Tuesday, 1 July
I believe she said that he was in 75th percentile for both. That's pretty much where Aaron has been. How much did you son weigh at 2 months? Aaron was 12lbs 6 oz and 23 inches.

We are definitely interested in spacing out his vaccines. Can you tell me how you did it and which shots you got when? Thanks!

mom2boy - Saturday, 21 June
It is crazy what we are willing to do for our little ones. I might just lower the bassinet mattress in his play yard because then it can hold up to 30 lbs but that is going to be a major back breaker.

Hello. My son has a bit of a flat head on one side as well. He favored it as an infant but is starting to lean to the other side now and it is starting to even itself out. I was inspecting it all the time too lol Don't worry, it should fix itself itself but I would ask a doctor about it as well because when I asked the doctor about it he said that it may have been from a weak or lazy muscle. Good luck and let me know how it all works out

Thanks a lot for you comment on the heat rash. It's sort of lessening now, but it's only in the 70's-80's and it was ALL OVER him. I felt bad for his poor skin, but he seemed okay with it. I just bathe him nightly and keep him in a onsie all day long. He seems to be mostly over it and I'm watching it dissipate and heal itself. Now just to get rid of the cradle cap for good! Hopefully your little one will heal up fast! It took Rowan 2 weeks to start to noticeably get rid of it in sections. Best wishes and enjoy the heat(I think), although if I were you I'd be dying in those kinds of temperatures.

xiaodaph - Saturday, 7 June
Hi manda21.. My baby is exactly the same case as yours but she doesnt have a flat head.. She like to lie on her right when she sleeps on her back.. And when i try to push her head and let her lie on the left, her head will automatic turn back to the right..
