This is me and Luke - I didn't know but i was actually pregnant here!! Only about 1 week.

Hi everyone! My name is Mandi and I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I have a daughter that is nearly 5 named Hailie and she just started school this year. I was only 19 when i had her and that was quite tough as even though her father and I were together, he didn't really want to be a part of it. So after a few months of putting up with him not helping, and not wanting to be involved as well as treating me like crap, I left him. It was very hard as I was scared I was going to be alone forever with a daughter. But firstly I had my family and some great friends that supported me the whole way. I met a beautiful man named Luke when Hailes was about 1 and it was the old cliche love at first sight. He is a great man that takes good care of me and Hailie and classifies her as his own. So for all you mums out there that are single or doing it tough - love does exist and I believe someone is out there for everyone you just have to allow yourself to be loved by the RIGHT person, dont settle for anything less than you are worth. Now Luke and I are having our first "biological" child together and I couldn't be happier.

Diary

I am going to post my weekly diary on here, but in sections. I dont seem to have room for it all so i'll write a few wks and then take them out. I will have these saved though :)

Week 37:

Well I have a fair bit to fill in here. I was 36wks and 3days when I woke up with bad pains in my stomach. The pains started to become regular and they were 10mins apart so I went up to the hospital. They hooked me up to the monitor and saw I was having regular contractions. So at about 12pm I had an internal and they said I was only 1cm dilated. The contractions kept coming and were 2mins apart and very strong so they did another internal. I was only 1 ½ cm dilated then!! To cut a long story short, the contractions eventually wore off and I was given some pain relief and sleeping tablets and went home the next morning. I was so disappointed because I went through all of that pain for nothing! So I’m hoping that when it happens it will go very fast because I’ve already done all the hard work. Hmm yeah right! Well tomorrow I turn 38wks and even though I’ve loved being pregnant I am officially OVER THIS!!! I want this baby out I feel like a whale. The weather has been really warm and I feel sick and bloated. I’ve been walking everyday to try to get things moving but so far nothing. I only have 15days til my due date and I know that’s not much after all this time but those 15days feel like an eternity. I just want to meet our bub now. Hopefully this is my last entry! Haha.
