Hi everyone..... at 3.51pm on the 9th of may 07 we became the proud parents of a little boy called Mason. Yes motherly instinct was right all along and all the sex prediction sites were wrong!! He weighed 6lb 8oz which made him my third smallest baby which surprised everyone. He is so lovely he looks like all of our other three children rolled into one baby. He is breast feeding well and sleeping well hes just perfect!!

The c section went well but was done nearly 7 hours after we should of gone to theatre so we were pacing the room. Our doctor was great and made it a fun time and at 3.51pm we were told to tell him what we had had, we looked up to see Mason above our heads and we were in no doubt he was a little boy!!

As soon as we were in recovery I did skin to skin and he went to the breast like a dream. During the spinal ( which is the part I dread all threw my pregnancy) I found comfort in repeating and repeating " I can do all things with you lord as you strenghten me" and the poor nurse who had the contents of my runny nose over her shoulder while I cried my eyes out as it was being done must of being saying the same!!! : )

A little bit about me and my family.......

I am mandie and wife to my wonderful husband neil and mommy to Joseph aged 14, Lauren aged 11, Ethan aged 4 and Mason who is 11 months now. There is three years between our eldest two and there is three years between our youngest two so its great. This was my sixth pregnancy and each pregnancy gets harder.We lost two babies in early pregnancy but class ourselves as having six children not four its just that god is caring for the other two in heaven. The big age gap between our children is because I have fertility problems . our last baby was concieved with the help of fertiltiy treatment. I am in England and had a c section on the the 9th of may 07 due to being very small and a normal delivery for me would be very dangerous due to having symposis pubis disfunction (If thats how you spell it). Having our children by c section is just my way of doing it and the only things that matters is that they come out as safe as possible.

Neil and I met when we were 16, fell in love at 17 and had our first child at 18! We have been together for 15 years and became christians 6 years ago and it was the best life changing choices we ever made. We have been threw rough times and great times and god has got us threw it all. We have been married just 5 years now after a 10 year engagement. We are loving each fun packed busy day with our children x x
