IT'S A BOY

A woman has strengths that amaze me, she can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens, she holds happiness, love and opinions. She smiles when she feels like screaming. She sings when she feels like crying. Cries when she's happy, and laughs when she's afraid, her love is unconditional, there's only one thing wrong with her and that is that sometimes she forgets what she is worth.

Your weight is only a number on the scale, it doesn't measure fat and it doesn't measure beauty.

I love my corner changing table...I had thought corner also, but this way it kind of looks like it is attached to the crib. When she gets older, i'll keep it as a toy shelf...I really dig it.

blasianbarbie - Saturday, 10 May
Well, Ive been hoping its water retention ~ I noticed in the past 4 weeks that my ankles have been a little swollen (not enough to notice though -- i dont think) but when I press on them they kinda sink in like play dough. lol. Post some belly pics!

Hey I just read your comment in weight loss after pregnancy too ~ (you posted it about a month ago though!) Did you get any good responses cause I'm wondering what is up with me too!! I went to the doc on the 5th and when the lady weighed me she was like, "hold on" ... I guess she thought something was wrong with the scale. I keep gaining like 10lbs a month! I went from 164lbs to 173lbs in one month ... and a month later I went from 173lbs to 184!? And I started off at 130lbs!

Hi I was reading you comment in the "weight loss after pregnancy" about your weight gain, the same thing happened to me I went from 187 to 196 in one month! Making a 21lb weight gain in 3 months! (not including the 15-20lbs I put on before I started seeing my OB doctor) I am completely freaked out as I promised myself I would not let myself get to 200lbs because I am only 5'3". I don't really know if this is gonna make you feel better but you made me feel like I am not alone :) ps I am having a boy too!

leahsmom - Saturday, 12 April
It sounds like you have are growing in all the right places. I know it can be hard though. Try not to worry too much.

I also put on weight all of a sudden during my pregnancy. Like 10 lbs in 2 weeks, then up and up from there. An ultrasound showed hydramnios- too much amniotic fluid. I ended up gaining 50 lb total and lost 30 before I left the hospital after delivering my baby. I was not puffy or swollen anywhere else- just carrying too much fluid. If your belly measures big at your next appt. ask your doctor about getting an ultrasound to check things out.

Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy! Your kids are adorable too. . Well here's the website www.maeessentials.com. They are very specific as to who can and who can't take these pills which was one of the reason I trusted them even more. So hopefully they'll work as much as they have done for me. Keep me posted, let me know if you decided to buy them or not. In the meantime, take care! :)

crabscanfly - Saturday, 5 April
yeah its weird because i heard 10 days from the nurses at the hospital before i was released, and the doctor told me 6 weeks for them to fully disolve. so i dunno, ive only seen one stitch come out and i had 2, so i dunno.

kerry1983 - Sunday, 30 Mar
hey thanks for the advice it realy helps to be able to talk about it with others. i know theres no shame in having pain relief i just worry about what it does to the baby if it makes me feel like it does than what does it do to a little baby!! hope your well x

bittybop - Wednesday, 19 Mar
Yes, you should get it looked into but it is likely possible this is just your baseline dilation. Women who have delivered babies before sometimes do not close back up completely. I was not aware of this until last week when my OB was explaining this to me. I was dilated 1 cm at 28 weeks, but they are being extra cautious b/c I have had a preterm delivery. My OB said that her baseline for her cervix is 1 cm b/c she has already had two babies. Hope that makes sense. The biggest thing is if you are having contractions as well and THOSE are the reasons you are dilating. If so, then yes, that could be a sign of preterm labor. Good luck and congrats!

Angiepangie - Tuesday, 18 Mar
You SHOULDN'T be dilated AT ALL at 20 wks. If your cervix is shorter than 2.5cm, or your cervix dilating AT ALL this early, that is Incompetent Cervix (IC), and you could be at risk of losing the pregnancy. So if this is happening to you, you really need to get it addressed, NOW!

damaurigirl07 - Tuesday, 18 Mar
Hi. Have you had a vaginal delivery before? The cervix never closes back the same after you've given birth. n

igobyjade - Thursday, 21 Feb
Hi there. I read your message and I agree! Everytime I go in to see my doctor...she will add a few days here and there. She tells me it's not big deal, but it drives me crazy!!

cristasbaby - Wednesday, 13 Feb
Hey Thanks for your message. I guess we just have to keep up the positivity. When I look around the world there are so many people and cats, dogs, different animals and they all came from the same place. This gives me great relief because it makes me think that mostly mother nature wants us to survive in this world.
I eventually had my scan and the dad came with me even though we are not a couple. He was just as ecited and relieved as me to see it kcking and happy with a strong heartbeat. Now that I cant see it and only have the weird little image to say hello to I am even more anxious to see it again. I have my first appointment with a midwife next Tuesday and my follow up scan is on the 31st of March. I really cant wait to see this one - so fingers crossed.
I hope you managed to sort out your first scan and fingers crossed everything goes just fine with you.

Welcome to second trimester- you'll feel better and that's normal. I can only palpitate my uterus cuz my dr. showed me what to look for. Probably nothing to worry about! Next time you're in and they're poking around, ask to be 'trained' on how to do this (they love interested mommies). I find mine using very light pressure and gentle movements (poking can cause your baby to have a reflex reaction, which personally I don't want to have to invoke). When I find the spot RIGHT above it, I feel some pressure down where my bladder is (not a 'gotta go' type feeling, just pushing). Hope it helps... but you could just be a slow riser or have a deep pelvic rise. Take care!
