How far along are you? 31 wks & 6 days

Cravings so far: Sour Kraut (yeah I know weird) Pickles of course.

Things that make you sick: At the beginning certain smells made my stomach queazy, but nothing as of lately.

Boy or Girl? Girl!

Baby's Name: Alyssa Renae Myers

Advice for other pregnant women: I don't have any advice besides enjoy it, you'll come across your own feelings and such...you don't have to listen to what others tell you.

Baby Daddy: The love of my life...Robert

His reaction: He's so excited to meet his little girl

Greatest memory so far: When we went for our ultrasound to find out the sex...Rob has wanted a girl from the start and as soon as the tech said it was a girl the tears started rolling down his face (soo sweet!)

Biggest fear: Having a huge baby - labor and delivery

Strange symptoms: My legs starting at my hips go numb while I'm sleeping.

Advantages of being pregnant: Getting to be lazy...lol actually it's annoying at times that I can't do more than what I'm capable of at the moment.

Weird dreams: Yeah, they just started a couple weeks ago.

Emotional outbursts: Yeah, I cry a lot.

Breast changes: They've gotten larger...were sore in the beginning but not so bad now.

Waist changes: Pretty large now...8 weeks to go.

Things you quit for baby: Drinking soda all the time.

Most uncomfortable time: Bed time!

Worst part of being pregnant: Being tired all the time and just feeling uncomfortable.

Best place for maternity clothes: I've gotten a lot of mine from JC Penny

Taking parenting classes? No

Pregnancy necessities: A granola bar and some water.

Grandparents reaction: All excited - my dad was a little emotional but he's over it now.

Aunts? Uncles? She will have 2 aunts and an uncle by my siblings - my boyfriend has quite a few more siblings than I do.

Godparents: I don't know if we're going to have godparents for her or not.

Where will you deliver? Chambersburg Hospital.

When? May 20th - maybe even a little sooner.

Will you breastfeed? Not planning to.

Will you use cloth diapers? Ummm...no way...that's way too much work!

Books you're reading: What to expect when you're expecting.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(3/12) 30 weeks already...where did the time go? It seemed to go by so fast up until this point, but now I feel like it's slowed down. I'm starting to stress myself out about us moving into our new house in time to get things prepared for the baby. We still have not received news on settlement yet which seems to be taking forever, I'm just ready to be handed the keys so we can go make the changes cosmetically that we want and then get our things moved in. It still hasn't sunk in yet that I'm going to be a mother to someone - it's just a concept I can't seem to grasp. I'm sure when she's placed in my arms after delivery - it will all make sense and things will fall into place.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(3/3) We had our 3D/4D ultrasound on Saturday. It was absolutely amazing! Alyssa has grown so much since the last time I got to see her through u.s. and to see how developed she is now is hard to believe. I will have to say she's got my nose! This is only a few of the 54 photos that they had given us on Saturday. We also got a dvd of the entire scan which shows her moving the whole time, and they also gave us an adorable crochet hooded jacket that I can't wait to put on her in fall. If you have the opportunity to get one of these ultrasounds done, I highly reccommend them! The last picture shows that without a doubt, she is a little girl! Glad to see nothing's changed or was hidden in that area the first time they checked! I will post again Thursday after my appointment.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(2/21) My first appointment for my third trimester was this morning. I had the doctor once again that I really don't care for (I just know she'll deliver my baby). The appointment went really well, I've only gained 4 pounds since the last appointment 4 weeks ago, my glucose test came back negative so I'm good to go with that which was a huge relief. The doctor was asking me about fetal movement while she was preparing to listen to the heart beat, and as soon as she put it on my belly, my little girl kicked it right off! Haha, I said well there's your answer about fetal movement, she's always moving! I now have appointments every two weeks until I reach 36 weeks, then I go every week. It's getting soo close I just can't believe it, I'm ready to meet my little princess!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(1/24) Today was my regular monthly appointment. Everything was good, my belly measurement was good, her heartbeat was 150bpm which is normal, and the results from my ultrasound on Tuesday came back fine. They said the placenta had moved up and out of the way, so it looks like I won't be needing a c-section after all. I'm relieved and happy to know that everything is going well...can't wait until I can hold my little girl!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(1/22) I had my follow up ultrasound today to see if my placenta had moved off my cervix. I didn't like the women who did the ultrasound this time, she just wasn't as friendly and didn't really tell us what she was looking at. Also, she wouldn't tell us if the placenta had moved or if the baby was still doing well, she said the doctor would have the results at my regular appointment this Thursday. Maybe it's just routine for them, but I'm very nervous and exited at the same time with this being my first baby, I would like more insight as to what's going on! I'll post something on Thursday after my doctors appointment.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(1/15) It's been a while since I've written anything on here! A few days after our ultrasound, I had my doctor's appointment to go over the results and make sure everything was going well. The only thing that they saw that could possibly cause a problem was the fact that my placenta was over my cervix. The doctor asked if I'd like another ultrasound in a few weeks to check on things and see if the placenta stretched upwards with my growing belly. Of course I said yes, I'm concerned and also can't pass up more pictures of my little girl!! The next ultrasound is going to be January 22nd so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the placenta has moved up and I won't be needing a c-section. Overall I've been feeling great up to this point..I reached the 22wk mark today and am actually enjoying the second trimester. I was excited feeling flutters, but the baby has put some strength behind those little kicks of hers and I'm actually able to see my belly moving at times and daddy has been able to feel his little girl kick for the first time! Can't wait till May!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(12/26) Well we had our big ultrasound this past Friday. It was so amazing, I've loved my baby since I found out I was pregnant, but after seeing the ultrasound, it made everything more realistic and I fell even more in love. I have an appointment tomorrow for the normal monthly check-up thing. Oh and by the way, it's a girl!!!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

(12/5) Things seem to be going well to this point. I had another appointment on November 27th, the doctor said everything looks great, the heartrate was 155bpm and it was good and strong. Looking forward to the ultrasound on 12/21 so we can find out if were going to have a little Alyssa or a little Hayden!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Well, I'm happy to say that this is my first baby. I'm a little nervous as to what to expect over the next few months. My boyfriend and I are both very excited for the new baby to get here (hopefully faster than it's been going!). I've only had two doctor's appointments so far, and I feel great when I go and find out everything is okay, but after every little pain I have, I question if everything is still fine until my next appointment. Kind of a never-ending process!

Same for me here! He doesnt want to hurt the baby it makes him felt really uncomfortable. I would have love to have some sex for the past two weeks to get things move a long but no luck! I do respect his choice thought,...

Sorry if its TMI but to make me fell good into the relationship I make lots of preliminary with him so we do everything except penetration,... So it does show he does want sex but he is really uncomfortable with the idea. Nothing to do with the way we look now I guess.

meghan815 - Friday, 2 May
Well how did the appt go? Did you make any progress? I haven't..still stuck at 1cm...!! lol I am hoping we have these babies before Mothers Day..wouldn't that be great!!

meghan815 - Tuesday, 29 April
Yeah girl I feel like a time bomb waiting to go off!! lol I went to the Doc last week and was 1cm and 30%effaced. I go back tomorrow so hopefully there has been some progress. I had a couple of contractions that woke me up last night..but nothing too unbearable. My feet are killing me lately..I am working until Friday and then taking off. People think I am the most miserable person in the world but to be honest, it isn't as bad as it seems. I think people want ot believe that everyone is the same and maybe I feel the way they did..!! I have felt some relief in the last couple of days..I think he has dropped..I have been eating up a storm and not had any indigestion. My husband just had surgery last wed. so I am trying to just make it through this week until he is better..he has to drive me ya know! I can't wait to see Alyssa's room...I held a 1 month old baby girl today and she just melted my heart..I am so ready to meet Sean it's unreal! Keep me posted..I have been thinking about you two!!! Sorry I wrote you a book..lol

meghan815 - Tuesday, 22 April
Hey girl I just wanted to see how you are doing and how things are progressing!!

OurBabyBean0508 - Thursday, 27 Mar
Awww thank you! Her name has been Bella since before we started trying to conceive! Thank goodness it turned out to be a girl right? LOL Anyway, since we had been 'trying' for our little baby Bella for 8 months we just couldn't name her anything else, it didn't seem right!

I forgot this is your first little one, so you two are still just a twosome! It's definitely important for you to get in all the closeness you can right now! It's also just as important (if not more so) that you get your butt out of the house! Go to movies, go to dinner, go shopping! You'll be amazed at how much life changes when the first baby comes. A 30 minute trip to the mall that used to be relaxing and fun becomes a 2 hour pain in the rear end where you find yourself covered in spit up changing the diaper of a screaming infant in the fitting room before you end up leaving without even trying anything on! And movies? Forget it. I think I've been to 3 movies in the last 5 years! Hahaha. Kids fulfill your life, bring you closer together as a couple and fill you with more love and happiness than you ever thought possible, but trust me you WILL miss the simplicity of life as a couple, once the baby comes nothing will ever be simple again! :)

OurBabyBean0508 - Thursday, 27 Mar
You don't have to feel bad complaining to me! Trust me if anyone can understand your frustration its me! Heh. Hell I keep dropping comments like 'Sex? I don't remember what that is.' Or, 'Yeah, I might actually get to have a sex life again sometime in July or August.' Hahaha. I want him to be fully aware of the fact that the next 7 weeks are just to get her here, then he's not gonna be able to touch me for at least 6 weeks after her birth! With my son I was still so sore at 6 weeks that I didn't let my ex husband touch me till I was about 10 weeks postpartum. I don't think Matt really believes that the healing process takes that long, but once she's born if he gets upset that he can't get any I'm gonna be the LAST person who feels sorry for him. HAHA

OurBabyBean0508 - Wednesday, 26 Mar
You should talk to him! You don't have to sit him down and make it an all out assault, but letting him know that you're lonely and you miss the way the two of you were before you got pregnant would be a good idea. Sometimes men forget that the current situation isn't permanent! I keep telling Matt 'I'm still IN HERE you know? I still have feelings and I'm still a person!' Heh. Even if nothing changes, sometimes it helps to just get it out and off your chest!

posie - Wednesday, 26 Mar
I am having light headed spells as well. My doc says it's due to increased blood volume and hormones. I don't pass out but things get very 'wierd' and I have to sit down before I hyperventilate. It should be fine, just make sure you support yourself in case you do faint. I've had this with all of my kids so I think it's pretty normal. TC!

OurBabyBean0508 - Wednesday, 26 Mar
Awww It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's been turned into an incubator, but I am sorry that you're going through the same thing! It's really hard when you had such a wonderful, physically close relationship before you got pregnant and then all of the sudden it's just taken away! At first I was really resentful and it made me have all these negative feelings toward the baby! Like she wasn't even here yet and had somehow managed to steal my soul mate. :( And it doesn't help matters when everywhere you go no-one says anything but 'Hows the baby' etc. Sometimes I just want to smack them and say I'M IN HERE TOO DAMMIT! LOL It probably sounds selfish, but seriously, I'm the one going through all the morning sickness, pain, sleepless nights, etc. All I want is a little sympathy and a hug! Eh, 7 more weeks... 7 more weeks... Hehe.

CRY5TAL - Tuesday, 25 Mar
Hi, my little girl is due on the 29th may, but i have to have a c section, so will be earlier, not sure of date yet, my leg goes really numb, if i walk or stand for a long time aswell, its so uncomfortable! Love your name choice, my eldest girl is Alicia said alysia!
Crystal x

havinababyinmay - Monday, 24 Mar
I think that's normal(leg thing). I don't get numb legs, mine cramp up alot.

lljohnson3 - Saturday, 22 Mar
Hey Megan? How are you? Did you want me to make something for Alyssa? I can do some cute pink and brown burp cloths if you want :) I hope all is well with you :)
Laura

caseylynn2 - Saturday, 22 Mar
Hi, how is everything going? I am sure you are busy with rennovation and preparing for baby! Did they ever let you know your actual due date? That would be great to have her earlier than expected :) I would love it. Hope you are doing well,
Casey

kaylie123 - Thursday, 20 Mar
hiya, how u doing? Your due 2 days before me...it's exciting ent it!?!!!

lljohnson3 - Tuesday, 11 Mar
That George Baby Uptown is really really cute! I love it! I love all the brown and pink stuff right now. I have materials to make brown and pink burp cloths if you would like some of those. (I have pink and brown paisley and also a pink ribbon with brown dots - very cute). I would love to make you a purple blankie and write Alyssa on it. If you would rather have pink I can definitely try to find some pink fabric for you. Just let me know :)
Laura

lljohnson3 - Tuesday, 11 Mar
Hi Megan! Thanks for looking at my website! I currently only have purple fabric for the blankies but I can certainly get some more. What color are you wanting? I got purple because I thought it was good for both girls and boys. Your ultrasounds are amazing! And I love the name Alyssa- good job :)
Laura

amanda424 - Tuesday, 11 Mar
Thanks for the comment. I will let you know what I find out about the scan.

caseylynn2 - Saturday, 8 Mar
Thank you! We love her name too, I have NO idea where it came from haha. So yes, she is in fact a girl! The doc showed us her 'hamburger' yes, she called it a hamburger haha! I was laughing so hard... she is measuring small, and Ive gained about 10-12lbs, but overall we are both healthy and the placenta moved up! It was a good appt. How have you and Alyssa been?

KnBzBaby08 - Thursday, 6 Mar
Thank you, and congrats on your pregnancy as well!! And I appreciate the support. We think we’re doing the rite thing with keeping our baby. Every kick I feel makes me feel better and better about it. I think its sad how people look down on pregnant teens, we can do just as well as an older mom to be. Everyone has to learn how to take care of a baby, its not like mothers in their 20’s or 30’s have experience either. We’re all new to this. Yeah, I’ve come to realize that my mom is foolish and since she’s going to be negative about this whole situation and not believe in me then fine. I don’t need her, and I will prove her wrong and be a better mother than she ever could be. I will ALWAYS be there for my child no matter what. The thing I really don’t understand about my mother, is her sister got pregnant when she was 17, but had an abortion. So just because she had an abortion that makes it okay? I don’t think so. My mom is a hypocrite and ashamed of her own daughter when her own sister went through it at my age. I know my mother will regret it someday, I mean, I’m making her a grandmother, but she will never meet the child who made her have that title. Its pretty sad if you ask me.

caseylynn2 - Wednesday, 5 Mar
Aw, you bought a bathing suit? I thought about it today at Baby Gap, it was on sale :) But.. maybe I will later on! They are irresistible to pass up aren't they? I think she has more clothes than me, actually I am sure she does haha. Less than 24 hours until my appt, I have not been this excited to go to the doc in a long time! I hope Delaney is still a girl... seeing your last 'girl' pic, made me a little nervous! I dont know what I would do if she turned out to be a boy! Anyway, hope you are having a great day, talk to you soon,
Casey
