Hi everyone!!! Now I am 18 weeks, and on Nov.7th I will find out what sex my little miracle is. I am so excited!! So far my pregnancy has been good. I am now getting my energy back and feel like doing things again. I had a bad week in week 17 cause I got a bad cold that put me in bed for two days, but all better now.

IT'S A BOY!!!! He was very active and was hitting himself in the forehead. It was tooooo cute! Eventually he found his mouth and was sucking his thumb. Everything is developing well, and he has a healthy heart rate of 139.

So last night at like 1AM I felt this repetative feeling kinda like a tapping on my bladder. I think my boy had the hiccups....LOL

Saturday, 5 Jan

I had an appointment on the 3rd. My uterus measured at 31.5 instead of the 28 it should be. So the doctor had me schedule a growth scan for February 13th. Also I had a 1 hour glucose test and it came back high, so I have to go on the 8th to do a 3 hour glucose test. I have gained about 30 pounds, but everything seems to be fine. I can `t wait to hold my son!!

Tuesday, 15 Jan

My 3 hour glucose tolerance test came out normal. So I can continue to eat all the cakes and candies that I love soooo much. It `s funny cause I didn `t really eat that many sweets before I got pregnant. I am patiently awaiting my baby shower this weekend. I can `t wait to see all the cute baby stuff for me and my little man. I just hope I get a lot because I really can `t afford any baby gear. My son moves more and more each day, and it feels so great!

Tuesday, 29 Jan

I had my 32 week appointment today. I have gained 33lbs total so far. The fetal heart rate was 130. My fundal height which is supposed to be 32cm is actually 37cm. So the doc did a quick ultrasound to check the amniotic fluid, and it was fine. I have a growth scan on Feb. 13th to see if my boy is just a big boy. So far everything seems to be going just fine, and my son seems to be perfectly healthy.

Thanks. I've managed to keep Oliver asleep during the day by sitting him in his bouncy chair - he just doesn't like being flat on his back. I'd like to give swaddling a go to see if that helps at night, but we're having really hot weather at the minute, so he'd probably end up overheating. Thanks for your advice. I'll try the stomach-sleeping thing for the daytime

dont know if you have resolved your sleeping issue yet but until you do, you might want to go buy one of those buffer things that is suppose to keep them from rolling over. It isnt necissarliy for the baby but so that until you get your baby out of your bed it will help you from rolling over on him cause the buffer will be in your way but your baby will still be close enough to smell you

I just read your comment on getting your baby to sleep in bed with you and I'm going through the same thing now with my 10-week old. I can't get him to sleep without him laying on my tummy. Did you manage to find a solution or are you still struggling with it? It's driving me round the bend!

oh good for you & your baby! at some point they don't want swaddling anymore, and they won't let you wrap them up. but for now, hope you get some rest!

have you tried swaddling your baby? it may be that what your son misses when not being rocked is the feeling of being held snug and warm. my on will be 3 mos next week and still loves to be swaddled, hehe!
