I 'am 24 and my Fiance is 30. We are both first timers and SUPER excited........ We had planned to start having children a year from now but were blessed with our little one early. Thank you to all the mommies who share their experiences. The thought of doing something wrong during my pregnancy worries me more then the thought for bringing home a newborn for the first time. I have always been very maternal and being in healthcare has prepared me well with caring for children. But it did not prepare me for pregnancy! ALL the DO's and DONT's are a bit much at times but I know there a must for the health and well-being of my little one!

18 weeks today!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have our 4D u/s schedule for wednesday to determine the sex. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a Girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were very lucky in having a room full of family to share in this special moment. We got to see her move and kick around inside of me; it was an amazing experience. She is very active and very camera shy, kept putting her hands in front of her face and the tech had a hard time getting a face shot. I think she looks like her Daddy. She is 8 oz and 18wks 2 days, they changed my due date to July 7.

This pass week she began to kick and move very strongly everyday, all day. It feels like she is training for a soccer tournament in there. It is very reassuring to feel her even though at times I find myself yelling at her not to kick my so hard. Fatherhood has brought out the best in my Fiance. When we are lying in bed at nite he sing ( very off key ) the Alphabet song , counts to 10 and even explain Einstein's theory of relativity to our little girl. It's soooooooooo cute !!!!!!!!!!!

Saw my doctor today! We are right on track, everything is measuring were it should be and all the test came back normal. I've gained 5 pounds in total now but of course i feel like its 20. The baby was so active that everytime he would get the heart beat with the doppler she would move and he would lose her, lol. I am so gald to know she is healthy! Each day that goes by now I feel my maternal bond with my little girl getting stronger.

Had a Doctors appt. yesterday and all went well. Her head is now down and it looks like that is the postion she will stay in until birth. At times I feel little claw like movements down below like she is trying to dig her way out, lol. Daddy has yet to feel her move and its getting very frustrating, it seems she purposely stops when he puts his hand on my belly.

7 months now and counting down the minutes until I can hold my little Victoria in my arms. Daddy has finally felt her kick and he is so proud! He keeps saying that she is going to be a great soccer player like him. The other night she was kicking me so hard that I felt like crying because it hurt so bad. The belly is deffently bigger and harder to squeeze by small spaces. Sometimes I forget that I have something in front of me and end up bumping my belly on things. Good thing for amniotic fluid which protects her or else she would probably have a concussion as clumsy as I am.

thanks for your message, i saw my doctor yesterday and today is when it started happening ........hows that for timing ?? He also told me the babys head is in position , but ive never had this pain b4 .So it would be good to know what your doc says.

Hiya how are you? I'm feeling good thank you apart from being tired- the nights are getting uncomfortable now and I spend most the night tossing and turning. I cant believe we're 30 weeks already it has gone so quick dont you think, although 10 weeks still feels like a long time to go. I wont be having a baby shower there not really a big thing over here, but we have done really well and have everything already. Hope you are well and getting a good nights sleep ;-)

Wow! Finally someone who feels the same that I do. Lol! I am just SO ready for this pregnancy to be over with. Partly because I am so ready to finally meet my son and partly because I am just SO tired of the leg cramps, back pains, pelvic pain, headaches, sleepless nights because of potty trips, shortness of breath and FEELING LIKE A COW! Oh yeah, and I hate that I am now being called 'Happy Feet' because my family says that I walk like a penguin! Lol. These first few months have gone by really quick and hopefully the second half will also. Good luck with the rest of yours. Talk to you later:)

Congrats on your baby girl. Our baby would kick all day long and then stop whenever my hubby would my belly. EVENTUALLY the baby stopped giving him a hard time and let him feel the kicks. Lol.

Well we had Jordyn Allyse picked out but my husband decided he no longer likes that name. So now i am waiting on him to pick out at least 5 so we can go over his list that he likes. How about you? Did you get any relief from the itching? It seems like we are always getting some new uncomfortable symptom, but it is all worth it I think.

If you cannot get relief from just plain lotion, you can use benadryl cream. I have to use it on my arms and thighs, doc said that it is perfectly safe to use. You could also try an axfoliating scrub in the shower before using the lotion, and make sure to put the lotion as soon as you are out of the shower. Good luck, and congrats on your little girl.

Hiya you ok? Do you get Johnsons 24 hour moisterising body lotion over there? If so get that I was really itchy for ages then started using that and it stopped straight away. Its the best x

Yes 4th July would be a great day for her, I'm still hopeing that he comes on the 7th as that seems to be our lucky number lately. Dont worry your bump is lovely too! I keep getting told i'm one of 'the lucky ones' whatever that means cos my bump is so small. I'm not too fussed though I think I would just like something to show for feeling tired and the morning sickness that I had to begin with. But I'm sure it will grow some more soon. Have you thought of any names yet? x

Thanks for the comment. I am feeling a lot better today. I am still healing. (sprained ankle and a hurt knee.) All I can say is Thank God my baby is ok! And trust me... I did cry the whole day :(

hey... im doing good. how bout you? my tummy is growing soooo much now!!! n you still look tiny!!! as for meric college, it was nice. although when i went the students were testing so they didnt have much time and were kinda in a hurry. but they still spent a good 15 minutes with me and they said to go back and they would record it on a vhs. the machines are not as high quality as kaisers but it was still nice to see the baby. i actually got to see him awake and active. and they'll give you pictures too. they used the 2D machine but i thought it was worth it. considering kaiser doesn't do them just because and they're free :D you should go... :}

Hey~ I can feel the baby move on the outside, but it has only been a few times. This is my 3rd, so maybe that's why I can feel it move outside now. I would think you'll be feeling the baby soon! Give it a few weeks. First pregnancies usually take a little bit to feel the baby moving on the outside. Congrats on your pregnancy!

oh yeah tomorrow!!! i almost forgot. yeah i still wanna go. omg and you were saying about your boobs, i couldn't agree with you more. i actually didn't realize how small they were until they grew!!! and my nipples are soooooo dark!!!!! i don't even recognize them anymore!!! and they're dry and chapped and nasty!!!! have you gotten the line on your belly yet?? i've had it but it's not that dark.
oh, and this is really grose but do you get like a white discharge? i've NEVER had a problem like this and it's sooooo nasty!!! i know it's not a yeast infection cause it doesn't smell or anything. it's just thick. i even have to change my chonis sometimes cause it groses me out. sorry for the details!!! :/ anyway, tomorrow for sure. :D or you can call me... 823-7368

I see that both of our pages finally switched to 20th week. We are due the same day.
I am a weekender at my hospital, meaning that I only have to work 32 hrs (all weekends and 8 hr during the wek), get paid for 40. I can't complain, the work is easier on weekends, less hectic, fewer days. Still, 12 shifts getting to be difficult. What helps me is that I have been working in the same place for 10 years, so I feel pretty laid back most of the time. I admire you being pediatric nurse, I could never do it being around sick kids!
