Hi, I'm 36 years old and on my second pregnancy. The kicker here is that my children will be 9 years apart. I feel like this is my first time except a lot smoother. I have had no problems at all. I didn't even have moring sickness like I did with my first child. Everything has been easy, I feel so lucky!
I have a great supporting family. My husband goes the extra mile and tries to do all the house work he can plus work fulltime and overtime. My siblings, 2 brothers (here where I live) and my sister are all a hoot about me being pregnant and have made it a comedy. My daughter who is 9, has been so wonderfully supportive, who knew a child her age could care and be so selfless!
So, saying that, I must admit, I haven't taken my pregnancy that seriously and joke about it all the time. I do take my diet seriously and all the iron I take in a day, but that is about it. My family and I have a dark sense of humor so I end up cracking jokes about pain most people would cringe to. But, I do think the humor has gotten me this far without complaining and being a downer to those around me.
I really can't wait to meet my new daughter Isabelle Malealynn (Ma-lay-a-lynn). She should be exceptionally unique considering her father has the strong South American Inca blood (Ecuador) and I have the Basque blood. Funny how strong the genes can be, my daughter now is my twin, down to every single feature the same. Everyday for years someone has to say something when we go out. Anyway, I'm excited!
