If you've never had a yeast infection before than I suggest seeing your doctor before you use any over the counter stuff. Especially this far along in the pregnancy, if it is your mucus plug, you don't want to stick any medicine up there if you're nearing labor. I would suggest a visit to your doctor just to be safe.

I have the worst acis reflux!!!! it seriously wakes me up and make me sick to my stomache!!!!! and the medicine.. like tums, and stuff only helps for a while!

It was actually like a full body massage but they concentrated on spots that get really sore during pregnancy - lower back, hips, knees, feet. She also massaged my head and face which felt really good. I went to a day spa to get it done, they lye you down on one side with pillows propping up your belly and legs, and they massage that whole side. Then they have you flip over to your other side and they work on that. My back is actually still feeling good and it's been 3 days now!

Ohh...my family lives in LBI!

scorpgrl20 - Monday, 7 July
Thanks for the info...Well only a few more weeks and hopefully our skin will go back to normal :) I just noticed you live in Jersey too. Never heard of Hammonton...is that is west jersey??

firstbaby4lisa - Monday, 7 July
Oh my I would recommend that pregnancy massage to anyone, it was so good and I still feel really relaxed.

Interesting. Our bodies change so much and the pigment. I have brown dots all over my stomach and boobs. I was in a bikini this weekend and my mom was looking at them and told me I look dirty. I could have smacked her because I know it's just the skin changing and not that I'm dirty LOL :)

Omj your belly is so cute! =]

scorpgrl20 - Sunday, 6 July
where are you breaking out in brown bumps?

mommynicolem - Saturday, 5 July
You should be able to...that is, unless you are in so much pain you can't breathe. :) I was lucky enough to have my water broken, but not to have any pain for at least 3 hours. I was probably dilated to 5-6 before they hit me. So, I was able to take my sweet time cleansing and shaving before he came! :)

mommynicolem - Friday, 4 July
I took a shower after my water broke, with the doctor's permission. I woke up at 3am with my water broken. Talked to the doctor and she said just as long as I got to the hospital by 5am, I'd be fine. She even suggested the shower. I shaved my legs and washed my hair. I saw someone else say that you are at risk for infection. But, just as long as you don't sit in water, you should be fine. Water doesn't travel upwards and race to your vagina! :) That's just sperm! haha! Oh, another thing you might not realize. You can take a shower and get all cleaned up, but the water keeps coming. Amniotic fluid is constantly being produced is what I read one time. So, the moment you get out of the shower, you need to get on some granny panties and a BIG maxipad. You will have gushed all the way to the hospital and until you deliver. The baby's head will cork the hole, but when it moves, you will get a gush. Also, bring a few towels to sit on so you don't soak the seat with fluid. I know it sounds kinda gross, but who cares? When you are in the moment, you will be so excited to see your baby, you won't care!! I know I didn't! :)

Yeah, it does blow, and I was reading one of the comments on week 33, about the lady that took a shower and said you have all kinds of time to do stuff--well, she's handing out bad advice b/c my docs and all the nurses told me that there was no way you are getting a shower or a bath once your water breaks b/c of the risk of infection to the baby. (Obviously b/c I was STILL asking for one once I got to the hospital! lol)
If your water smells, you're in trouble. They tell you, if your water breaks to try to pay attention to any color or smell b/c it should be clear and have no smell, but if it has a color or smell, it could mean fetal distress. In other words, it's not good. I'm sure your's will be fine, if your water even breaks. You will know what to do once it happens, don't worry about it. Of course you'll be nervous, it's my 3rd and I'll be nervous--probably more about getting a c-section than anything b/c I've never had to have one, and I would NEVER choose to have one! But your body will naturally know what to do. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask, there's never a dumb question when it comes to pregnancy/birth/labor. :)

When my water broke w/ my first, I looked HORRIBLE! I wanted nothing MORE than to take a shower and shave my legs--it was my first and I hated going in labor looking like that, so I asked my doc, as I called in and told her my water broke, if I could take a shower and she said "no!", after your water breaks you are at risk for getting infection down there so you can not get wet/take a shower/or bath. Unfortunately! :( Anyways, if you are just contracting, you can-and keep in mind, most women's water never breaks on it's own-you'd be surprised at the statistics on this. I was. Hope that helps. :)

Oh good! Glad Im not hearing things. It must be ok then... =]

Let me tell ya, if it's not safe to chew gum during pregnancy, I'm gonna be in BIG trouble, b/c that's something I've craved more than anything else this pregnancy-Dentyne Ice Peppermint gum!! I swear, I'm worse than a person who smokes about this gum!! lol So yea, I'd say, it's safe to chew gum! :) lol Seriously, did you hear that it wasn't somewhere?

A 3D ultrasound is just like a regular ultrasound just higher advanced equipment. :)

sorry to hear about the headache last night. i know my headaches have always been hormone related so when they were crazy bad in my first trimester - especially around 6-8 weeks. good luck with your MRI!

mommy-2b - Friday, 27 June
Your lucky you have a sister! Maybe my best friend can do it but she lives kinda far. I wouldn't want one of my bf's sisters to do it I think that'll be wierd. Well I got some time to think about it....

mzrican - Friday, 27 June
Aw! Lol. Ya crazy as shhht. Lol

firstbabyd - Friday, 27 June
i just saw your post about the tylenol with codeine and that's what i take for migraines. i've suffered from them for years and now that i'm pregnant the doctor said the only thing i can take is that. he said 2 of them every 4 hours is ok as needed. i had migraines really bad in my first trimester and so far all seems to be going well for me and baby - no ill affects are noted at this time. of course ask your doctor what's ok as he/she might feel differently, but i'm totally comfortable taking 2 of them at a time and that usually kicks the headaches. good luck!

mommy-2b - Friday, 27 June
I was thinking of video taping the birth too! But I wouldn't know would do it. If my bf gets to be here (he's in the navy)then I would only want him in the room with me but if he's not here only my mom and his mom would be in there and I dont think they would know how to work a video camera. Who you mom tape yours? If she does who's going to be holding your hand?

noodle - Friday, 27 June
Don't know about codiene but my mom and sis in law told me at headache clinics they use witch hazel, down your spine on both sides, every 30 min. This has taken 10 headaches in a row, away for me ( along with tylenol)! I'm amazed!!
