About Marietta

Marietta is the nickname of my late grandmother. She lived a long life and we were glad to have her.

The picture I used is a painting by Mary Cassatt, an American Impressionist. It is called "Young Mother Sewing." You can see that I like to be relatively private about my personal information when communicating over the internet, but the Cassatt piece about sums it up.

Friends on this site gave me support to get through my final miscarriage, the last of many. I took a little time away and came back for them to rally around me while I made the long haul through a successful pregnancy. Such hard work, bringing about a whole new person to add to the family. With the support of my partner, some good friends, and many kind people right here, we've completed the journey. Now on to continue the greater journey as we raise our two beautiful daughters and continue to grow as a couple and as individuals.
