About Marietta

Marietta is the nickname of my late grandmother. She lived a long life and we were glad to have her.

The picture I used is a painting by Mary Cassatt, an American Impressionist. It is called "Young Mother Sewing." You can see that I like to be relatively private about my personal information when communicating over the internet, but the Cassatt piece about sums it up.

I was here in Autumn 2007 and was sad to leave too soon in December. Back again now, and there's no telling how long I'll stick around. Long or short, I'm not anxious this time around. What will be will be, and it'll be alright.

I'm sure your experenice will be a whole lot different this time around! I'm trying not to think of it too much as it makes me a little nervous. I really don't like hospitals.
How old is your son now?
x

lol brilliant plan when we were expecting kanaan and unsure of his gender ethan informed me that his sister was not allowed to help name the baby as she was seriously considering Chrysanthemum or dragonfly or firefly she was convinced it was a girl and when he wasnt she thought i had done this to her on purpose and was very personally offended.. then i explained how women dont pick the gender men are the ones with both the X and the Y and kaleb did this to her, not me. she informed him this meant war

Hey, there:

Sorry for the delay. I am working more outside of the house, so I don't have a lot of time to devote to sitting at the computer.

Yes, I am just so busy that I can't catch up with everything. I think that's why I am so tired. Any you are right, I haven't been taking my vitamins, due to being always on the go.

Then I have a difficult client from the past, that is beginning to surface with their ugly head, so I am working on the best situation to close their case once and for all.

Still on the Emory University construction contract that is dragging on more and had a series of interviews last week for secular work out side of my design work, because business is moving so slow.

Then on top of all that, contending with life just getting settled in with hubby.

Finally, have some very close friends from Texas coming next week Monday thru Friday and the house is not ready, due to my fatigue....and the hot water is not working until Tuesday, etc....

I am just outdone. Now debating where they should sleep, as my room is the only one with a shower...etc...but I need my room for my husband and I are still on our honeymoon so to speak...but I don't want to seem rude....it will be the couple, plus about 3 or four kids...excited to see them, just wish the timing was a bit better for me.

So, I am just out of it.

Smiles,

Debora :-)

Hi, I have been working my through the mail and replies I have had about the incidents I have been having with this young man. I was all ready to say I can't have him anymore until I read your post. You have given some hope and a light at the end of the tunnel and can't thank you enough for that.

I think I can understand why he is behaving the way he is behaving and I don't think a sit down chat with the parents would be good or will help the situation. This poor man has been pulled from pillar to post. Mum has moved in wither her dad then moved back to the marital home and then got divorced and is now remarrying in Dec and he is torn between 2 places and 2 people and mum does not talk with him or to him to explain what is happening. her ex-husband who she at the moment lives with knows nothing of this other man and she is trying to get her son into college for 3 years (in her words) I have done enough I want a break now! It is hard to talk with people who do not listen but I will give it my best shot and one more episode I think I will have to call it quits. i love my job and I love the young man I care for very much but what more can I do.

Thank you again for hope and uplifting message and I am doing well and baby is just great, thank you x

Hi
Yes I totally agree with you. Like you say, different pregnancy, different hospital etc etc. I am always open to a natural delivery ( I was last time round but had to have an epidural due to severe sciatica). I have the attitute that if i can do it without anything then great, but if i find it too hard am in too much pain then who cares if I have pain relief? - so long as my baby is born safely that is the main thing. I have no shame in using pain relief at all. Like you say, it all depends on how your labour goes. A friend of mine had an epidural with her first and was insistant that she was having it again with her second. When she got to hospital, her labour had progressed so quickly that she didn't have the option and her baby boy was born within half hour! so you just never can tell. good luck with it all. x

Hi Marrieta! thanks for your note. yes, I'm feeling great now. It's so nice to have my energy back! So far, this pregnancy has been so easy though. I didn't have any morning sickness, just exhausted the second month. I'm hoping the third trimester continues the same way I'm amazed how many people have been announcing that they're having girls. Well, I'd better get to bed and get some rest. We're leaving on vacation Saturday and I still have a bunch of stuff to get ready Take care!

Hey girl....how's it going with you and Petunia? So...Petunia is the nickname??? I actually liked it. You know it's a flower, right? It has this beautiful violet color and I LOVE the color violet with all its shades. So..nickname or not....I love it.

About me.....it's 7:30am and in 2 hours I have the appointment with the genetic specialist. I think I feel ok. For some reason....I feel deep down in my heart that everything will be fine and I'm staying strong...besides praying a lot! I gotta have faith.

I didn't hear from thr hospital anymore....so I'm taking it as a good sign. Besides the amnio, they draw blood (the hospital...and a private lab) to test me for toxoplamosis and another "thing" I forgot. It's been now over a week ago...so for them not to call me...I feel it's good. Otherwise they would have started me with antibiotics.

So....I'm keeping it cool, trying not to die from a heart attack before the baby is born and keeping it together.

I'll keep you posted when I get back. Ciao
