Hi everyone: I finally set up my own page after visiting the site for the past month. I am 14w 2d with twins. I am trying to be excited but I am also walking on eggshells everyday.

Thursday, 18 Oct

Did not sleep well last night tossed & turned a lot! I have appt today w/ OB. Hope to get an u/s to see my 2 little ones! Love to see them every chance I get. I am still very very winded and fatique easily. I think I have gained about 12 lbs.

Saturday, 20 Oct

All went well at my 14 week appt on Thursday. Got to see the babies again. Doc reassured me that everything was going well despite some brown d/c last week. Going back for a hospital u/s on 10/29. I'll be 16 weeks then - maybe they can see the sexes of the babies! Overall feeling better.

Wednesday, 31 Oct

I went in for my u/s yesterday & everything's great. I am starting to feel so much better about the babies. I know that I can do this. I truly believe that God nevers gives you more than you can handle. 16 wk check up today went well. Got the flu shot & gained 2 pounds. That brings my total to 7 pounds. It feels like 20! Level 2 u/s on 11/20. I know the babies are going to be healthy. I am wishing for a boy & girl. But I will be just great with whatever God sends my way.

Wednesday, 21 Nov

I has a level 2 u/s today & after a 3 hour drive to get the hospital, I finally found out that I am carrying a BOY & a GIRL! They are doing great & I couldn't be happier.

Sunday, 2 Dec

At my last dr appt I was moved up 10 days based on my L2 u/s. Im now in week 22. No change to the delivery date which will be in early March. I have been feeling pretty good & focusing on getting rest. At 20 wks my twins were 10 & 11 ozs.

Wednesday, 19 Dec

Today I had a u/s. Love seeing those babies! They now weigh 1lb 8 ozs each & are 24w 6d gestional age. The tech said I was due 4/3/08. Still one boy and one girl. I feel sure now about genders. I have gained 9.5 lbs. Ok for me since I was plump to begin with.

Thursday, 10 Jan

I went for an u/s today Baby girl 2 lb 7 ozs & Baby boy 2 lb 10 ozs. Im shocked how fast they pick up weight. 7 wks to go until my c-section, kinda nervous! Still undecided on the names!

Sunday, 20 Jan

So, I offically feel misrable today. I`ve been fighting a bad cold for the past 3 days & I feel run down even though I just woke up. Sleeping the past couple nights has been more of a nightmare than usual since I can`t breathe through my nose. But I know that this will soon pass. I went to my 27 wk appt on Weds. I have gained a total of 11 lbs. Doc says this is ok since the babies are steadily picking up weight. He seems pretty surprised that they are both 3 lbs already. I was told to take iron in addition to my 2 prenatal vitamins & calcium. 6 wks to go for me. My doc delivers twins at 34-35 wks. The twins should be around 5 lbs each at that point. I can`t wait to hold them both & see if they look like thier older brother. I also have BH everyday, just a couple nothing too uncomfortable.

Thursday, 31 Jan

Wk 29 today. I saw my OB yesterday & gained 4 lbs. Im now up to a whopping 15 total! Im glad since I know its all going to my babies. Really good news is that the doc said that I could go til 38 wks. He`s not going to take them out so early. Im super pleased by this. I also got to see my 2 little ones on a scan during my exam. Only 2D - so grainy, but I still love seeing thier little hearts fluttering. It's so reassuring to me. My next u/s is 2/11.

Monday, 11 Feb

30 wks & 4 days today. Today`s u/s has baby A the girl (no name yet)at 3 lbs 10 ozs & baby B - Evan 4 lbs. Evertyhing looks great.

Tuesday, 19 Feb

Today, my emotions are on HIGH ALERT. Everything is setting me off. The dad & I don `t live together, not even in the same state right now. He is the father to our 15 yr old son as well as the twins Im now carrying - so we have tons of history. I just got off the phone with him & he tries to help me feel supported but today Im in the worst funk ever. I feel my babies kick & it feels wonderful. I feel so unproductive. I can't wait for the babies to come so that I have a purpose other than just laying on my left side & eating! Reg OB appt tomorrow - 32 weeks on Thursday!

Sunday, 16 March

The twins were born via c-section on Sunday, March 2, 2008. Alexis Faith entered the world at 6:54 a.m. weighing 3lbs 10ozs & 17" long. Evan Cruz born at 6:56 a.m. 5lbs 4ozs & 17-3/4" long. The c-section recovery was more than expected, but so worth it everytime I look at my beautiful babies. They are still in our local hospital`s NICU. We are working on bringing them home hopefully within the next 10 days.
