About ME!
First I want to say congratulations to all the beautiful pregnant women on this site.
My name is Melissa and I'm 25 years old. I have a wonderful husband who is in the Marine Corps. and 2 beautiful children. Aiden is 4 1/2 and Samantha is 6 months old. I am currently pregnant with our 3rd little one and am due on December 16th. I found out I was pregnant on April 13th when my period was almost 1 week late. My husband was away in California for training so it came as a shock to both of us. It was an exciting shock because we knew that we wanted at least another one, but I don't think we were trying to have them as close together as they are going to be. There is only going to be 13 1/2 months between the 2 youngest!! I'm sure I am going to have my hands full, but I don't mind. My husband makes enough money so that I can stay at home with my children which I am so greatful for. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Right now I am 8 weeks pregnant and so far this pregnancy has been nothing like my other 2. When I was pregnant with my son I had some morning sickness where I would feel like I was going to throw up in the morning but after I ate something I was fine the rest of the day. I didn't have any other problems until around my 28th week when I went into preterm labor. They stopped it (thank god) and I ultimately had him at a little over 38 weeks on August 29, 2003 weighing 6 lbs 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.
As for the little princess I only had 1 week of morning sickness and worked throughout my pregnancy all the way to again....28 weeks when I went into preterm labor with her. They stopped it (thank god) and I had her just like my son at a little over 38 weeks but on October 26, 2007 weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.
You might think as you read this that I have typo but both my children weighed the same and were the exact same length. I also went into preterm labor with them during the same week of pregnancy.
Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
This is Madame Zantska's prediction of my labor: I can handle the boy and 6 hours of labor but a 9 lb. 9 oz baby?? NO THANK YOU! LOL
The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .
After a labor lasting approximately 6 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 9 pounds, 9 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and be almost bald.

WEEK 12: So week 12 started on Monday, June 2nd. I have finally gotten over my morning sickness which was absolutely horrible. I didn't have morning sickness with my other 2 so it was a new thing for me. I was on Zophran for the morning sickness and I came to find out that I was allergic to it. It gave me the worst abdominal pains I ever experienced in my life. I have had 1 dr. appointment so far on May 16th and everything was just fine. I had an ultrasound and the baby was right on track according to my LMP. Baby's heartrate was 146 so I'm hoping this means BOY!! My daughters was always 160's and my son's was always 140's or less. I'm excited to be able to find out what we are having but I have to wait until mid August for that! Other then being really tired I'm doing ok. So far I have gained 2 lbs which is fine with me being that I only had a 5 month gap between my last one and getting pregnant again! LOL. More to come next week!!
WEEK 13: Week 13 started on Monday, June 9th. Things really haven't changed as far as how I'm feeling. I'm still really exhausted. The morning sickness is gone but sometimes I get waves of nausea. My belly button popped out this weekend!!! I guess I shouldn't be too suprised being that this is baby #3. I have crazy cravings all of a sudden. I LOVE sweetened iced tea and lemonade. I probably drink a gallon of iced tea a day. It's rediculous but it tastes so good! I also LOVE salt and vinegar chips and grilled ham & cheese sandwiches. I eat that everyday. I also LOVE Special K with red berries. I eat that for breakfast every morning with a sliced banana. YUMMY!! My hubby says that my mood swings are starting but I think he's just irritating. Always using the "your pregnant" card is getting on my nerves. I have told everyone in my family that I'm pregnant with the exception of my grandparents. Even though I'm married they don't think I should have any more. I'm starting to really "show" now so I'm going to have to tell them sometime soon!!! I next dr. appointment is June 17th and I can't wait to hear the little heartbeat again!
WEEK 14: Week 14 started on Monday, June 16th. Things really haven't changed from last week to this week. I'm still tired and my morning sickness is still gone. My cravings are still the same. I had my dr.'s appt. today and to date I have gained a total of 4 pounds. I think that's good for being 14 weeks!! The baby's heartrate was around 135 and my BP was 102/54. Everything is so far so good. I don't feel pregnant anymore which is wierd. I wanted to hear the heartbeat so that I knew the baby was still there. I'm starting to feel the flutters and stuff which is cool. The only complaint that I have this week is that I'm having back spasms. They suck. My whole lower back tenses up and I can't walk for a minute or so. It's very annoying. I'm also getting a shooting pain down my left butt cheek into the back of my leg. I know that feeling all too well....SCIATICA!!! My ultrasound is scheduled for July 17th....i will finally be able to tell what I'm having....I'M SO EXCITED!!! More to come next week.
