About ME!

First I want to say congratulations to all the beautiful pregnant women on this site.

My name is Melissa and I'm 25 years old. I have a wonderful husband who is in the Marine Corps. and 2 beautiful children. Aiden is 4 1/2 and Samantha is 6 months old. I am currently pregnant with our 3rd little one and am due on December 14th. I found out I was pregnant on April 13th when my period was almost 1 week late. My husband was away in California for training so it came as a shock to both of us. It was an exciting shock because we knew that we wanted at least another one, but I don't think we were trying to have them as close together as they are going to be. There is only going to be 13 1/2 months between the 2 youngest!! I'm sure I am going to have my hands full, but I don't mind. My husband makes enough money so that I can stay at home with my children which I am so greatful for. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Right now I am 8 weeks pregnant and so far this pregnancy has been nothing like my other 2. When I was pregnant with my son I had some morning sickness where I would feel like I was going to throw up in the morning but after I ate something I was fine the rest of the day. I didn't have any other problems until around my 28th week when I went into preterm labor. They stopped it (thank god) and I ultimately had him at a little over 38 weeks on August 29, 2003 weighing 6 lbs 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.

As for the little princess I only had 1 week of morning sickness and worked throughout my pregnancy all the way to again....28 weeks when I went into preterm labor with her. They stopped it (thank god) and I had her just like my son at a little over 38 weeks but on October 26, 2007 weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.

You might think as you read this that I have typo but both my children weighed the same and were the exact same length. I also went into preterm labor with them during the same week of pregnancy.

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

IT'S A GIRL........AGAIN!!!

I moved my pregnancy journal to blogs to save some room!!

ready4mygirl - Wednesday, 1 October
When your birthday does get here and your hubby asks what you want... tell him you want him to be your house bitch for the day. It is the best gift ever... really

ready4mygirl - Wednesday, 1 October
Thank you! That is great that you are ok. I am so glad. That is so funny our hubby' are always assholes. I bet I could go clear to the other side of the fuckin world to find a man... and he would turn out to be the same. Today was nice I just sat around like a fat snake in the shade and did nothing. I told Adam my birthday doesn't end for 2 more days lol. Hopefully tomorrow your contractions stop and you feel better. Tell your hubby today is your birthday too lol

ready4mygirl - Wednesday, 1 October
OMG I hope everything turns out okay w/ you and the baby. Please be on here at 9 to let me know that you are ok. I swear someone always gets hurt on my birthday.Last year my grandmother fell and broke her hip, the year before that my sister's appendix ruptured and now you may go into labor on my b-day. I cant wait until this day is over. My hubby has been waiting on me hand and foot today, cooking and taking care of the kids... its kinda weird but nice. I sure hope you are okay

tamara0209 - Tuesday, 30 September
yeah you are for sure right, caue how often do kids especially really wear their clothes, and there are such cute used clothing, and toys. I always go to once upon a child for toys and movies for kaden, and they work great, and he loves them.

tamara0209 - Tuesday, 30 September
I totally agreee with you, and craiglist does rock. Besides they go through toys so fast, I don't see the need in buying new stuff. Unless ofcourse someone would like to buy it for us, in which case bring it on. hehehe

ready4mygirl - Tuesday, 30 September
Damn I am glad you are okay. I have contractions if hubby and I do it doggie style or he is too vigorious ( sorry tmi). It has never been as bad as you are describing though. Maybe you should try to avoid sex b/c that sounds like a warning that sex could throw you in labor.... damn tell your hubby he isn't supposed to half kill you lol

ready4mygirl - Tuesday, 30 September
Relax? That is an unknown word. My husband's game got shut off. Yipeeee. Yeah, our hubby's seem like they are alot alike. That would sooo piss me off too. I would probably take my shoe off and throw it at him lol. At least he is man enough to support his kids though. Adam apologized to me last night, I am like you need to show me that you have changed... not just tell me. He knows I have had it with his shit. I love him but I told him if he looses another job, hes gotta go. I haven't had sex in about 1.5- 2 weeks either b/c It has made me sick to even lok at him lately.

tamara0209 - Tuesday, 30 September
I love the idea of that, I think my son Kaden would love that as his bed. My son loves to climb everything and anything. But I love the underneath area being a sort of play area/fort for him to play in. I am so excited the inlaws are paying for a bed for his birthday cause I don't know if we could do it on our own.

tamara0209 - Tuesday, 30 September
oh that is great for you guys then, that is so exciting. Yeah we are relieved it is a boy because of already having everything. Plus now we can get the bunk beds we want, so it all works out great.

ready4mygirl - Monday, 29 September
I am at school between classes right now. My next class doesn't start until 5:30. When I get home I am going to go to craigslist and look at some stuff. Yeah, that would be great if you end up having extra. I can give you some money for some stuff. I took Madison to the Dr's... Nightmare girl let me tell you. I just switched her Dr. and this is the first time that we met him. He is a young fat Doc, but real nice. My husband was holding Madi on his lap, and that Dr sat on the stool right next to her and she flipped out. She kicked him right in the fucking balls. He is a real fat guy and he was sitting facing my hubby right up against him and BAM!! She kicked him right in the balls. Everytime he talked to her or even looked at her she screamed bloody and tried to crawl up my husbands chest. HAHA it was so damn funny. I have never seen her act that way

Things happen for a reason and I can't wait for you to have this new one that is so exciting. We did get to find out today what we are having, and we are having boy number 2. I am so excited, I can't wait to meet him, and show him to his brother.

ready4mygirl - Monday, 29 September
I never thought to look for clothes online. I will check that out i am curious. It is hard to play with babies because they do not understand much and cant really play anything. She loves pretending she is falling. I will sit her in my lap and say " your gonna fall Madi" and she will throw her head back and try to fall and smile. She is really fussy for like 2-3 days after her shots... god I dread this. That is crazy Samantha doesn't cry. Madison sure does... I am sure everyone with the same zip code can hear her.
