About ME!

First I want to say congratulations to all the beautiful pregnant women on this site.

My name is Melissa and I'm 25 years old. I have a wonderful husband who is in the Marine Corps. and 2 beautiful children. Aiden is 4 1/2 and Samantha is 6 months old. I am currently pregnant with our 3rd little one and am due on December 14th. I found out I was pregnant on April 13th when my period was almost 1 week late. My husband was away in California for training so it came as a shock to both of us. It was an exciting shock because we knew that we wanted at least another one, but I don't think we were trying to have them as close together as they are going to be. There is only going to be 13 1/2 months between the 2 youngest!! I'm sure I am going to have my hands full, but I don't mind. My husband makes enough money so that I can stay at home with my children which I am so greatful for. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Right now I am 8 weeks pregnant and so far this pregnancy has been nothing like my other 2. When I was pregnant with my son I had some morning sickness where I would feel like I was going to throw up in the morning but after I ate something I was fine the rest of the day. I didn't have any other problems until around my 28th week when I went into preterm labor. They stopped it (thank god) and I ultimately had him at a little over 38 weeks on August 29, 2003 weighing 6 lbs 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.

As for the little princess I only had 1 week of morning sickness and worked throughout my pregnancy all the way to again....28 weeks when I went into preterm labor with her. They stopped it (thank god) and I had her just like my son at a little over 38 weeks but on October 26, 2007 weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 3/4 inches.

You might think as you read this that I have typo but both my children weighed the same and were the exact same length. I also went into preterm labor with them during the same week of pregnancy.

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her
down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop
the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important
and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to
make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the
wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

IT'S A GIRL........AGAIN!!!

I moved my pregnancy journal to blogs to save some room!!

So did you put that ad in to watch kids before and after school?? I ended up getting that job, after all that frustration I sware this job process was like breaking up with a boyfriend or your best friend or something!! It was an emotional rollercoaster!! But I start Monday, and Joey is coming along Mon, Wed, and Fri as planned from the begining. It's def bittersweet, I don't want to leave him but we need the money so bad. Just like you and your hubby, it is has been rough on our relationship. He is such a worry wart about money that he stresses me out even more than needed.

And boy oh boy I can't wait for the next tax return lol. We are also going to be paying off lots of credit cards, which are really our big pitfall. URGH, why I fall into the traps?!?!

How is everything else going? I see you got a nice little pic of that belly going on (o: How are you feeling?

KristinDavis08 - Saturday, 23 August
Thanks!!! Yeah the maternity pullow is a lifesaver! It supports your body where you need it most! I woke up in the same exact spot I went to sleep in - it was great! No tossing and turning or being uncomfortable! I would HIGHLY reccomend investing in one!!! =) I got another phone call last night. All he said was, "I only have 15 seconds so listen carefully. Something very important will be coming in the mail. I love you." and before I could say I love you back his 15 seconds were up and the phone cut off!!! AHHHH!!! So now Im stalking the mailman waiting to see what could be so important! Im guessing a letter or something? Or maybe some paperwork I have to fill out and bring somewhere. WHO KNOWS! But its always nice to hear his voice (even though it doesnt sound like him)!

ready4mygirl - Saturday, 23 August
its funny when they get in a crazy pretzel position. She is doing a little better today. Not much though. She is moving her arm a little but still is babying it and she cries if you touch it or she bumps it.

ready4mygirl - Saturday, 23 August
Thanks so much for your comment on my blog. My hubby is telling me the same thing, but I caused my little girl pain ( not intentionally of course) but Its just hard seeing her in pain. If I was watching I would of noticed her arm was stuck behind her. I gave her tylonol but she still wont use her arm... she wont reach for or hold anything with that arm. I cant help it. I just hate seeing her in pain. I am just a baby I guess... but I can't help it.

KristinDavis08 - Saturday, 23 August
 So adorable!!!!!!

KristinDavis08 - Saturday, 23 August
OMG! I am doing so much better! I got to talk to my husband for about 1 minute haha but it meant the world to me and he'll call again when he can. The letters are taking a long time to get here from so far but it's okay. I'm already more used to being alone so it's easier. I statred a new job which also occupies my time! I finally got a maternity pillow as well which takes up most of our bed, lol, so it doesn't feel so empty at night. I learned to appreciate having the extra room in bed at night (but I still miss him to death)! But thanks for asking! How are you doing? I hope everything is going well! XOXOXO!!!

3rdtimemama80 - Saturday, 23 August
Brutal! How ignorant is that?!!
I come from a large family and there is nothing wrong with having lots of babies in the house
The way I see it when we are done here on this earth, our children are going to only have each other. The bigger the fam--->THE BETTER

dossfirstchild - Saturday, 23 August
Yea the waiting game does suck...I'm sick of waiting!

The nursery is complete I think I'll know if i'm missing anything once she arrives...LOL...this is my first so I dont know what she really needs...

No results today :( She said that the results wouldnt be released until the doctor that ordered the test looked at them...but he wont be in until tues...so whats up with that :/

3rdtimemama80 - Saturday, 23 August
LMAO! You are too funny! You know that's right...at least were pregnant!
The twins comment is TRULY annoying...I would have a comment like that come out of my coworkers everyday or I got the "why are you so big" stare out of the skinny girls...LOL
You know what I say....forget 'em
Healthy baby is all were asking for!!!!

metalqueenmommy - Friday, 22 August
yeah at least with the high risk ultrasounds that I had they were all 3d... what are you having? congrats again!!!!

3rdtimemama80 - Friday, 22 August
It is so true about getting bigger quicker with the 3rd pregnancy. I think I started showing around the 3rd month! Now my belly is so big that people mistake me for being pregnant with twins or already due...LOL
You look good lady
I hope all goes well, keep me updated

metalqueenmommy - Friday, 22 August
I had next to no morning sickness last pregnancy, but this time it's like I should just stay by a trashcan all morning especially if I eat anything in the morning, but from what I heard morning sickness is a sign that everything is going smooth... I know how scary it is to feel like you're losing your baby... but you got through it!!! congrats!!! the doc says so far so good and I get my first ultrasound in 3 weeks so I'm excited!!! I'm glad everything is going great for you and I'll keep you in my prayers!!!

dossfirstchild - Friday, 22 August
Yea that would be nice...i will be calling today to find out the results...havent heard from them so they must be ok...just need to make sure...

dossfirstchild - Friday, 22 August
I dont know...I guess they just worry...LOL...but it was worth it even though it sucked being there so long...this has happened at my last 2 appts. I've had to stay super long getting test done :( It sucks...But we will see what they say today...maybe they'll induce or schedule a c section...I hope that they figure this all out...I so dont want to be pregnant for 42 weeks...

littlemisspgt - Friday, 22 August
5 years!!!! OMG, Screw that! I cant wait until Dustin gets out from under shit crap job and things get back to normal. Before being selected for recruiting detail dustin was (still is) a 25U placed in a commuications chief positon here in crap town Bismarck. They tried pulling him for recruiting detail in 06 but he was deployed.

Im going to take my time with TTC and enjoy having my body back for a bit. Ive been volunteered to babysit another soldiers children ages 4 years and 7 months so that will soon put my life into a whirlwind.

Im sorry but im not a fan of addison, Its being used as a boys name these days so its lost its "prettiness" if that makes sense. When I went for my u/s when I was pregnant with Abigail I wanted a boy and when I heard girl I started to cry. But things are okay, Mercedes loves her sissy and I wouldnt trade my baby Mcbutters (abigails nickname) for the world.

dossfirstchild - Friday, 22 August
They suck so bad! In the morning(the only time my feet are swollen)...is when they hurt the most..once the swelling goes down i'm fine...

I had my 38 week appt today...man am i disappointed...No progress at all...cervix is still closed... :(

Babys heart rate was so high (188) that they made me go to L&D...I was there for an extra 3 hrs...seems like this has been happening to much lately...I need to start making it a field trip... but thank god her heart rate went back to normal and they let me go...tomorrow I get some blood work back...hopefully nothing bad...they thought maybe our bloods were mixing...but I'm O+ so I dont know how that would effect her in a bad way...But w/e they know best...

The doctor is actually pretty cool...army retired...blah...but still cool as hell...I guess maybe it is better to have a doc since they know way more than a midwife...

But anyhow...enough with my terrible day...how was your day?

MetalQueenMommy - Friday, 22 August
thank you I appreciate your condolences I just went to my first ob appointment and My doc said so far so good!!! congrats on your pregnancy as well... how has your pregnancy going so far???

littlemisspgt - Friday, 22 August
Dustin's hours have gotten longer and longer since I had first wrote my "about me", so the hours have gotten crappier but I suppose there isnt anything I can do about it. I dont even complain anymore because Ive gotten used to it. He is going to miss our oldests (shes 4) first day of school tomorrow because of some crap conference 3 hours from here. Dustin has also volunteered me to babysit another 4 year old and his 7 month old brother. Atleast the Mercedes and the other boy will go to school together and Ill just be stuck with two babies. Abigail is a wonder little baby and I know that If I did have another I wouldnt have any problems child wise with the two of them, call it mommy instinct I guess. My AF showed up today a week late and that gave me false hope but I think im just going to take it easy on the ttc for awhile because im stressing myself out. I just got done being unpregnant 5 months ago, why rush right? It happens when it happens but im sure going to start making it happen alot more consistantly around xmas. Anyway, Ive wrote a novel. Its nice to meet you and have someone to relate to when it comes to my husbands crap job :) How are you and your pregnancy going? Is it a boy or girl? Do you have names?

haileyc - Friday, 22 August
LOL, I think I'm going to tell my hubby to hit the couch! Just kidding.... but yeah, I REALLY want that bed to myself. I tried sleeping on the couch, but it's just not big enough for me! LOL
