My profile

Hi my name is lisa and i am 24 years old. I have been married to my husband for 4 years and we now decided to have a baby. Although it was planned i was shocked to learn i was pregnant, i swear i got pregnant on the first try. (i better remember that for the future) We are having a little girl and i am so pleased about that. My granma passed away when i was 22 weeks and so this little girl is going to be special to me, my granma was convinced she was sick to make room for my baby in the world. It will be hard without her, but they say everything happens for a reason. Im hoping this pregnancy goes real fast so i can meet my little girl soon.

thanks girl. I just keep getting comments from everyone that I'm too big, or too small, and I have no idea! I trust the majority of opinions on this site though. Thanks!

I think its better to be more laid back and relaxed during pregnancy. If there are no problems than i think u should be left alone...after all women have been having babies forever and done fine without any medical interventions.
Im not sure why its so different maybe cos they pay private medical insurance?????????
x

yes its normal in the uk. midwives just check urine sample and listen to babies heart beat.
they dont usually do internals until ur in labour to see how far dilated u are. hope this helps. good luck with everything
the ante natal care here is so different to USA it seems the uk are a lot more laid back during pregnancy do u think? x

I think the medical staff are a LOT less sympathetic about pregnancy over here!!!

I don't think I'd have enough skirts to have the weekly internal!!! LOL!! xXx

This site gets really addictive by the way!! LOL. xXx

We don't seem to get half the care our friends in the US get, maybe it's because we get it free!!!

I had a scare last Tuesday, they wouldn't even do an internal examination then as apparently it can set off preterm labour! They had a look with one of those plastic opening willy things (?) and a light but wouldn't feel to check! Even though it would be nice to know if we're advancing any, can you imagine going for your smear test every week!!! LOL!!

I'm only being seen every 2 weeks also, they really couldn't care less, could they!!?? LOL! Is this your first, I thought I was only being seen every 2 weeks because it's my 3rd and I really should know what I'm doing!! I don't by the way!!

I've never heard of that city you are from, where about in England is it? xXx

Hey! Ok...lay down on your back. With both hands on opposite sides of your tummy poke or prod your belly. You'll feel that it is soft and squisy. Then do a half sit up and poke and prod again...you'll feel that your tummy is now hard. That is what a BH feels like.

girl i turn my husband down just about everyday, we maybe do it about once a week or so. i too feel really bad, but i just simply cant. not only is it uncomfortable, but for some reason i just dont get turned on anymore! my hubby gets frustrated sometimes cause i wont wanna do anything not even play with him. but hey what can i do. im just hoping this stops as soon as the baby is out that way i can be my normal self with him. well anyway good luck! have a nice day
