Hi. I' a 36 year old mother of two.

I had my two girls when I was 21 and 22. It was easy to conceive back then, and I really thought two was enough for me.

Along the way, my ex husband and I divorced and I never thought I would want to even think about having another baby.

This past year, I met the man I could spend a thousand forever's with, my soul mate, the love of my life. We were married within the year, and now we are trying to conceive our first baby.

I thought it would happen right away. It did before, it did with my sister and everyone else I know. I am worried about my age. I know it takes time, and I need to relax and take it easy, it has only been since the end of July since I began trying.

I am hoping it happens soon, but I know it will happen if and when it's meant to be.

Nov. 9th:

Second day of Af. Accepting the fact that it didn't happen this month. When we decided to ttc, we both guess how long we thought it would take, he guessed one month, I guessed 4. So this month.. in two weeks anyway, we will be on our fourth try. SO, I have the OPK and we'll just have to wait and see. I hate waiting.

Nov 10th: My Af stopped mid day. So it lasted only only 24 hrs. I wonder why so short. Its not normal for it to be so short for me, and I usually have horrible cramps. So, I think I'll test in the morning so I can rest my mind.

Saturday, 15 Dec

today is dec 14th. I have about 8 days before I ovulate again. I don't mind this waiting period half as much as the following two weeks. I wanted so bad to have a wonderful Christmas surprise, but it didn't happen. I know it will though, soon.
If it doesn't happen in the next two months, its time to visit the Ob/gyn.
Of course I hope this will be my month, but time will tell.

Tuesday, 26 Feb

It `s been 7 months of ttc. I am waiting for my AF on Sunday. I have a strong feeling this is going to be the month. I went to my OB/gyn, he said I have no reason to do anything but keep trying at this point, and if in 6 months I am not pregnant we can look into our options.So for now, we wait. Til Sunday at least, of maybe we will test early on Saturday. I am finally content with waiting, and even find it exciting.Good luck to you all TTC and those who have!

Friday, 29 Feb

I took 3 tests, all had at least a faint line, the first two I did 3 days before my AF. We bought those at the dollar store figuring its early and we don `t want to spend a ton on tests. I had a feeling I was pregnant this month because exactly 7 days after I ovulated, I had very light bleeding for about a day and a half. Both showed a very faint positive reading. We bought a better test and took it last night, two days before AF. ANother positive, this time a darker reading. I am due for my AF tomorrow, but I think this is really it. I got my BFP!!!

Monday, 10 Mar

I am 5 weeks pregnant and feel so darn tired and nauseas, my husband can `t believe how my bb have grown already, and I have been sleeping like crazy lately. I have never had so many symptoms, esp. this early on. My first Dr. visit is in one week. I can `t wait. I am just so happy to be pregnant. I don `t know what else to say, 7 months of trying, it finally happened!

Well, I am sick pretty much sick all day everyday, and tired! But its all good, I know my body is going through a lot of change and I am excited about it.I just called my Doc to make sure Monday is ok for my first appointment, I heard most Dr.s don `t want to see you until 10 weeks and I am at the end of my 5th week. So, they said Monday is perfect 6 weeks is exactly when he likes to start! So, I am happy to know I am doing the right thing. :)Its been so long, I really don `t remember as may details of my first two pregnancies. I do know I was sick for my first and perfectly fine with my second. ANyway, that `s my update. 5 Weeks and moving along!

Sunday, 30 Mar

I am approaching week 8 and for two days in a row I didn `t feel like complete Doo-Doo. Which makes me so so happy!!Not much else is new. I bought a maternity bathing suit today. Its very cute, so far I haven `t gained any wieght, but my tummy seems a bloated.I had all my blood and urine anaylsis done this week. The end of this month brings excitement with our first sonogram and some worry with knowing I will have to tell my boss the news, which he won `t take too well. BUt What can you do!I hope everyone is staying positive and feeling good! more to come.....

May 19th Second Trimester.

So, I am now 15 weeks and 2 days. Feeling tired a lot and I get some pretty killer head aches. I gained 4 lbs, and heard the heartbeat twice so far. We still don't know if we are having a boy or girl, but we shall soon find out on June 17th! I really can't wait.
My girls are having fun picking out names I decided on Oscar for a boy and Katrina for a girl. That still might change, but so far, those names are the winners..
I keep laying in bed feeling my belly, I feel my uterus tighten at times, and I just can't wait to feel the baby move..... soon!!!

I went to the docs yesterday, and am mesuring at 32 weeks, and there was no sign of glucose in my urine. He told me because my 1 hour was abnormal and on my 3 hour test one reading came in close to the normal level so thats why they are considering me for borderline G.D. I go in again tis week for counciling and nutrution. And i think then they will give me a way to monitor everything. Right now I am still just following the South Beach diet. I guess it is working, no traces of glucose and I lost 4 pounds.. Think I am going to keep this up after the baby is born. The doc didn't mention inducing me at all yesterday so as of now I guess I am going until my due date of Nov.11

Hey, I'm doing good. My numbers have been really good for the past two weeks so, (knock on wood, lol!) My ketones have been high and the dieticians office freaked out about it but my doctor told me not to worry about it because she wasn't, she was only worried about my numbers! So my doctor is pretty pleased w/ how things have been going!

I have been measuring just as i should be. They said as long as your measuring right then your pregnancy is going just as normal as someone's w/o GD.

I do get to have another sonogram, I have it this coming Monday, and I'm so excited about it. They are mainly checking to see how big she is to get an idea on if i can go into labor on my own or if they need to induce me.

The doctor told me just by measuring my size that i'm average and where i should be at this point of my pregnancy.

Yes it does suck really bad having to watch everything you eat and having to count carbs and make sure you don't have to many!

I've been on this diet for 7 wks now and about my 3-4 week i was having a really hard time w/ it and getting really depressed having to eat all the same things over and over and keep a track of it and it was just getting overwhelming. i was also having some bad numbers to and everytime that would happen i would just get so depressed, I know exactly what your talking about! Its like you try so hard and then your numbers come back bad and its like all your hard work was for nothing! I know exactly what you mean!

I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me I was dialated to a 1 and was almost at a 1 1/2! Its so exciting!

Just keep trying and the fact that you are trying and you havent' even been to the dietician says a lot about you! You are going to be one great mommy! Your little is very lucky to have such a caring mom as you are!

Geez, I've gained about 30 lbs so far so you're doing better than me!!! I go tomorrow to do the test because I keep putting off, 2 hours is a long time to sit around to nothing but I guess I better get it over with. Good luck and I'll let you know what happens. This fasting business is torture though!!!!

The best advice anyone ever gave me is if you can get past the first 3 weeks with breastfeeding it all starts getting easier and that is exactly what happened all of a sudden my nipples weren't as sore and everything seemed to be healing.

I would try to atleast pump one other time. I usually don't like to go over 3 hrs during the day without either nursing or pumping. but there is one trick that you can do when you start working if you find your milk decreasing. After your babies last feed for the night wait about 1.5-2 hrs and do what is called a power pump. pick a 1 hr show you like to watch and pump while the show is on and break during commercials. That helped me out alot.

Well I go in a few days to do the 2 hour one since I failed the first one and I failed the first one with my first daughter too but passed the second test so we'll see. I'm not worried either way. I assume they just put you on some special diet or something and with so ittle time left, it wouldn't be a big deal. Have you gained more weight because of the GD and is your baby bigger too? That's what I always hear is that the babies are bigger and you put on more weight.

HEY IM HAVING MY BAY SHOWER OCT 5TH, AND SINCE I HAD A LIL ACCIDENT ON SUNDAY AND ALMOST WENT INTO LABOR, NOW I THINK OCT 5TH IS A LIL LATE. IM SCARE TO GIVE BIRTH B4, BUT MY DOC SAID I SHOULD BE OK AND MY DUE DATE STILL ON THE TABLE.

My shower is Oct 5th too and I am measuring big my last 2 appts. Also, I had my first son at 36 1/2 weeks and my daughter at 37 1/2 weeks. My midwife says that they will not stop labor anytime after 35 weeks and that she expects I will deliver early this time too. I feel like noone is going to come to my shower because I already got a funny attitute when I mentioned it to my daughters friends mother yesterday; she told me oh I don't know I'm really broke right now. Also, my aunt and I aren't on speaking terms so my grandma won't come either and I don't know who will come from my husbands deadbeat family. My stepmom is throwing me the shower. I feel depressed about it almost like I don't want a shower at all. Will I go there and be embarrassed for hardly anyone showing? It's depressing me thinking about it.

Just want to let you know that I am having my babyshower on the 27th and I too am super paranoid. My sister has invited a lot of people and they have all replied yes, but what if they don't come at the last minute??? I hope everything goes well and I hope I don't have my son early. I guess we need to try and relax and we'll see what happens the day of our shower. Hope you have a great shower and get showered in gifts.
