Hi. I' a 36 year old mother of two.

I had my two girls when I was 21 and 22. It was easy to conceive back then, and I really thought two was enough for me.

Along the way, my ex husband and I divorced and I never thought I would want to even think about having another baby.

This past year, I met the man I could spend a thousand forever's with, my soul mate, the love of my life. We were married within the year, and now we are trying to conceive our first baby.

I thought it would happen right away. It did before, it did with my sister and everyone else I know. I am worried about my age. I know it takes time, and I need to relax and take it easy, it has only been since the end of July since I began trying.

I am hoping it happens soon, but I know it will happen if and when it's meant to be.

Thankyou for reading this and if you have any advise... feel free... : )

Nov. 9th:

Second day of Af. Accepting the fact that it didn't happen this month. When we decided to ttc, we both guess how long we thought it would take, he guessed one month, I guessed 4. So this month.. in two weeks anyway, we will be on our fourth try. SO, I have the OPK and we'll just have to wait and see. I hate waiting.

Nov 10th: My Af stopped mid day. So it lasted only only 24 hrs. I wonder why so short. Its not normal for it to be so short for me, and I usually have horrible cramps. So, I think I'll test in the morning so I can rest my mind.

Saturday, 15 Dec
today is dec 14th. I have about 8 days before I ovulate again. I don't mind this waiting period half as much as the following two weeks. I wanted so bad to have a wonderful Christmas surprise, but it didn't happen. I know it will though, soon.
If it doesn't happen in the next two months, its time to visit the Ob/gyn.
Of course I hope this will be my month, but time will tell.
good luck to everyone ttc and congrats to all of you that have gotten your blessing, esspecially those in the 35 and over group!!

Tuesday, 26 Feb
It `s been 7 months of ttc. I am waiting for my AF on Sunday. I have a strong feeling this is going to be the month. I went to my OB/gyn, he said I have no reason to do anything but keep trying at this point, and if in 6 months I am not pregnant we can look into our options. So for now, we wait. Til Sunday at least, of maybe we will test early on Saturday. I am finally content with waiting, and even find it exciting.Good luck to you all TTC and those who have!

Friday, 29 Feb
I took 3 tests, all had at least a faint line, the first two I did 3 days before my AF. We bought those at the dollar store figuring its early and we don `t want to spend a ton on tests. I had a feeling I was pregnant this month because exactly 7 days after I ovulated, I had very light bleeding for about a day and a half. Both showed a very faint positive reading. We bought a better test and took it last night, two days before AF. ANother positive, this time a darker reading. I am due for my AF tomorrow, but I think this is really it. I got my BFP!!!

Monday, 10 Mar
I am 5 weeks pregnant and feel so darn tired and nauseas, my husband can `t believe how my bb have grown already, and I have been sleeping like crazy lately. I have never had so many symptoms, esp. this early on. My first Dr. visit is in one week. I can `t wait. I am just so happy to be pregnant. I don `t know what else to say, 7 months of trying, it finally happened!

Thursday, 13 Mar
Well, I am sick pretty much sick all day everyday, and tired! But its all good, I know my body is going through a lot of change and I am excited about it.I just called my Doc to make sure Monday is ok for my first appointment, I heard most Dr.s don `t want to see you until 10 weeks and I am at the end of my 5th week. So, they said Monday is perfect 6 weeks is exactly when he likes to start! So, I am happy to know I am doing the right thing. :)Its been so long, I really don `t remember as may details of my first two pregnancies. I do know I was sick for my first and perfectly fine with my second. ANyway, that `s my update. 5 Weeks and moving along!

Sunday, 30 Mar

I am approaching week 8 and for two days in a row I didn `t feel like complete Doo-Doo. Which makes me so so happy!!Not much else is new. I bought a maternity bathing suit today. Its very cute, so far I haven `t gained any wieght, but my tummy seems a bloated.I had all my blood and urine anaylsis done this week. The end of this month brings excitement with our first sonogram and some worry with knowing I will have to tell my boss the news, which he won `t take too well. BUt What can you do!I hope everyone is staying positive and feeling good! more to come.....

May 19th Second Trimester.

So, I am now 15 weeks and 2 days. Feeling tired a lot and I get some pretty killer head aches. I gained 4 lbs, and heard the heartbeat twice so far. We still don't know if we are having a boy or girl, but we shall soon find out on June 17th! I really can't wait.
My girls are having fun picking out names I decided on Oscar for a boy and Katrina for a girl. That still might change, but so far, those names are the winners..
I keep laying in bed feeling my belly, I feel my uterus tighten at times, and I just can't wait to feel the baby move..... soon!!!

marsup...
I also am one of the lucky ones to have the mask of pregnancy!!!
I went to the dermatologist to see if there was anything that I could do about it...and of course...nothing, at least while your pregnant! I haven't found anything that will cover it without making me look like a china doll...way too much makeup for me!
I wish I knew what to do! If you find anything...please share the secret with me! I am also very self conscious about it!

Thanks! I know I'm looking high in this picture, but he's actually low. Well, let me take that back. Being breech with evidently a big head, he's kind of all over. Which is probably why I'm starting to feel like crap at least half the time.

Thanks also for the 20 yr. old comment - notice, I did not show my face!!!! There's where you can see the 40 yrs! I'll have to do another one soon, now that I've figured it out and it's actually not too challenging for me.

How was your weekend?

shocked - Friday, 29 August
Eric's birthday celebration sounds great - what date was it?

How did the Dr.'s appt. go on Tuesday - did he give you a lot more info? My Dr. actually makes you go to a 4 hr. diabetes class where they overwhelm you with info. I remember being really freaked out my first time, but this time it wasn't nearly as scary. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask - I'm starting to feel like an expert!

I went to the Dr. yesterday. Everything looks good - gained 5 lbs. in the last 2 weeks - ouch! We were hoping to go the beach this weekend for Labor Day but my Doc said "NO!". He said it's just not worth taking the chance that my water breaks on some lonely stretch of road between Atlanta and Hilton Head. I'm a little bummed about it because I would love to be on the beach, but packing the whole family up and driving there is not something I have a lot of energy for right now. So we'll just lay low and get things done around the house, and go up to our boat for a day (my tan is fading!).

Love your nursery! She is going to be such a girly-girl!!!

Have a great weekend and talk to you soon!

I am doing ok. NO sleep the last two nights. I woke up at 5:30 this morning and my sugar was 94 before breakfast. I know that had to because of no sleep. I know exactly what you mean about having to plan a head. no more eating whenever or whatever I want. I feel like I am always thinking of what my next snack or meal will be. Like this morning I needed to make sure I had some sort of protein for lunch. It is hard, hang in there. If you forget what a carb is, if they have labels look at them. If it has carbs over 10 grams count it as a carb. I am here to help if you need anything.

I was on the diet for the last two months with my first pregnancy. I have been on this diet since week 10 and now 36 wks. Your breakfast was too many carb choices. The yogurt, ceral, and milk are carbs. I have found this ceral Special K High Protein works for me. I have 3/4 c of that and 1/2c skim milk and some other protein. Slice of cheese usually. There are low carb verisons of yogurt that you can get. Breakfast seems to hard for a lot of people because you have not eaten since bedtime and your body is very happy about getting food so your levels could be high. You have to watch the fat also because it could raise levels. When I have Mexican, I eat one hard corn taco, 10-15 chips, and chicken taco salad(I don't eat the shell)My level is anywhere from 80-100. It does take time but you will remember what is a carb and not a carb. I have not opened my book for months. Try low carb options and sugar free choices. It helps. I still get high readings every now and then. You might have done nothing wrong at all it could have been a bad day or you may need more help. First pregnancy GD controlled completely by diet but this time around I needed insulin. Also, some tricks that help. If you walk after eating, have a leafy green salad with meal, drink tons and tons of water it helps lower your readings. You are doing a good job. It takes time. There are foods that I miss. I really miss having freedom. I always have to plan ahead. Also if you eat around the same time of day it helps in keeping levels in line. have a great day.

I do not count calories. I only count carbs. I do measure everything though. For example day, Breakfast-2 scrambled eggs with cheese and one toast with butter ( I have a hard time with breakfast and bread). Lunch-2oz hamburger patty(no bun) 1 cup of cooked veggies(or 2--(1/2cups of two diff veggies or salad and 1/2 c corn and 2 oz fries. Dinner- 4 oz grilled chicken, 2 veggie portoins and 2 carb choices again. Look at lables one carb portion is 15 grams. 1/2 c corn is one portion, 3 oz baked potato is one portion. My doc says my numbers should run 60-90 when you wake up, after meals under 120 at l hour. Usually when you go the the diet, a dietician meets with you and gives you this book with portion sizes what is a veggie, carb, meat, fruit choices. You can go on American Diabetes Website and get the same book. If you like Mexican food, mexican foods usually do not raise levels as long as you eat corn products. Corn taco shells not flour ones. Corn does not raise levels like flour ones. I have lived on mexican foods pretty much. Also, switch to brown stuff like brown rice, wheat bread instead of white rice, white bread. It takes longer for your body to digest brown stuff then white stuff so it does not raise your levels as fast. So much info, sorry. It does take a little to know what is your "bad items" for me it was bread. let me if you need more info. I do not want to overwhelm you. You did a good job yesterday. Also remember that other factors can affect your readings. Like, sleep, stress, ect. Hang in there.

Hunny it's just so pretty i think Poppy & will have to move in too xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You have the opposite problem I do - I was low in the beginning hours but then got higher in the 2nd and 3rd. How is the diet coming? I know it seems kind of hard at first, but I promise, it does get easier. However, 56 is way too low, don't forget you still need to eat some carbs with every meal, just small portion sizes. Although I like your idea better to just skip the carbs and go right for the cake! I was also told that you need 2 hours after you start eating to check the level which allows for the carbs to totally convert to the sugar. If you check it too soon, you might mistakenly think it's low but in actuality, it will still continue to climb.

I'm keeping my readings usually in the 90's. Sometimes when eating out, I hit 122, which is about the highest I ever have, but at 2 points over, I'm not sweating it!

When was Eric's bday? Hope you had a great weekend!

Oh my gosh... so Adorable. I love it.

ams2777 - Sunday, 24 August
Just hang in there. It is tough in the beginning to figure out what works and does not work. I have a hard time with bread but can have milk, fruit, potatoes and be fine. It takes some trial and error. This is the diet I have to follow. Maybe it could help until you get your official diet. In the morning, 1 serving protein and 1 serviving fat and 2 servings of carbs, morning snack 1-2 carbs and 1 protein, and lunch 3 carbs, 2 proteins, 2 veggies, 1 fat and afternoon snack 1-2 carbs and 1 protein, and dinner 2 carbs,3-4 proteins, 2 veggies,2 fats. One serving of carbs is 15 grams of carbs, one serving of protein is 1 oz of meat. Make sure you have protein with all your meals and snacks it keeps your levels low. Also, drink alots of water and having a small salad also helps lower them. I am here to help. Hang in there.

I had GD with my first controlled by diet and now with this pregnancy I am on insulin. Your numbers are very low sounding. Just wondering if you are in the US or another country. My run around 90-110 after meals and some in the 80s. Make sure you eat all that the diet says to eat. Make sure you do eat your carbs. That is what keeps your level up. My doc told me that too many highs is not good but also not to many lows either you want to be middle of the road. If you need suggestions on foods to eat let me know. I have come up with items to satisfy my cravings but stay within the diet.

JenWVU - Saturday, 23 August
I read your comment in the GD section. Those levels do sound pretty low to me. I was diagnosed with GD this week and have been checkign my levels for the past 4 days. I check my levels 4 times a day. In the morning before breakfast it is in the 70s or 80s. Two hours after breakfast, lunch, and dinner it has been anywhere from 90something-115. If I were you, I'd try to get ahold of your diabetes consultant or OB this weekend to see what to do. Good luck!!

Hello lady, how are you doing??

Just posted my 4d scan pics, Poppy's nursery pics & my 30 week bump. xxxx

Kandace - Saturday, 23 August
Thanks for the comment, your so sweet. I am sorry your having back problems. What happened? Is it just the pregnancy or other problems with it? I am doing pretty good. My belly feels really heavy now and I have a lot of pelvic pressue so it hurts to walk. The dr says its Rylee's position but its really uncomfortable. Overall I cant complain, she is healthy and it will be over before we know it. Like you said there isnt much we can do about it so we might as well roll with it. Im glad your hanging in there. I hope your back feels better soon. Keep in touch.

what do they do with you now? do you have to take meds or what? what a pisser! I actually have no idea about my anemia. On my last appt, I figured they would send me for another test, but nope. I have one on wed (27th) so I will ask then. but my last appt, he checked my belly and then was talking about my next appt while walking out! I was like "uhhh I had a couple questions..." and he said "oh, go ahead" and the whole time I was trying to talk to him, his hand was on the doorknob! Do you think that is rude or is it just me? Cuz I know my insurance was charged the same whether he was in there for 30 seconds or 30 minutes...
