Saturday, 22 November I know what you mean. I can't leave her to cry either. We let her fuss, but when it turns to a cry we go in and soothe her.
She actually woke up for the first time last night after we put her to sleep. She has a bit of diaper rash and she was in pain. Poor little thing. ihave6kids -

Saturday, 15 November Hi there hun, I was just reading ur msg on the forum about ur baby being rocked to sleep i had the exact same problem and it just made me wanna tear my hair out. It takes so much time and they fight to go to sleep and they're so heavy, and it really does drag you down I think that was one of the main reason why I couldn't enjoy my son coz everytime it came to nap/bedtime I would dread having to rock him to sleep. But a 4 1/2 month I thought sod this and I put him in his cot and left him to cry. I did the whole reasurring him but found that he was 10 times worse. First time took 10 mins then gradually it would be less and less. But he stills cries now, he just doesn't like sleeping. But when I first did it, it was heart renching and u must go outside coz listening to it will make u crumble and get very upset. Now he only moans when he's in bed but goes off pretty quickly. But I found that rocking my son was awful coz as soon as I put him in his cot he would wake again. What ur childs pattern xxx ladobruk -
Saturday, 15 November I will admit I was blessed with a good sleeper, however, I did rock her to sleep until she was 3 1/2 mths old. I stopped rocking her completely asleep and starting putting her in her crib sleepy but awake. My method was to only go back in if she started crying. I would let her fuss, but go in to sooth her if she really started crying. To sooth her I first tried to settle her without taking her out of the crib, rubbing her back, head, shhing etc. If that didn't work, I would pick her up and put her back in her crib the moment she settled. And repeat...
I hoped for the best but expected the worst and was prepared for battle. She really surprised us...the most I had to go back in was 4 times and by day 5 she pretty much put up no resistance. In fact, she started squirming in my arms when I was rocking her because she wanted to get to bed, lol. We stopped rocking all together around 4 months and just put her in bed after her bottle. She always goes right to sleep now. She always slept good stretches, but since she learned to put herself to sleep she no longer woke up for the early morning feed and started sleeping 12-13 hrs straight. ladobruk -

Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Monday, 15 September I wouldn't worry about getting your period, breastfeeding doesn't guarantee that you won't get it, it just delays it returning in some woman, it's completely normal to get it now.
