My son had diaper rush changing into yiest and back diaper rush, nyostatin did nothing but new A&D cream (white tube with blue letters) that is like thin white paste healed it in couple days. if that doesn't work, try mylanta with starch - make a paste and put on his sore parts. Good luck!

Thank you. I think I'm going to take him off solids for a good week but I did go and buy some oatmeal cereal last night so we'll try that next. Thanks again!!

that is awesome! I am currently listening to Isabella cry. It is almost the second 20minute mark...I thought we were doing so well-she had a great night last night...

embobower - Friday, 26 September
Well of course. All our babies are perfect. Letīs just hope they stay that way

erica93 - Friday, 26 September
Yea, I PLAN to make my own food. Keyword is plan LOL! I haven't done that yet. I am tackling her sleeping right now, but I will start next week. I have a couple of books too. Not sure what to make first....maybe carrots? BTW-she fell asleep in 17 minutes this evening! I didn't even go in at all. Maybe there is something to this...how is yours doing?

erica93 - Thursday, 25 September
Okay, cool, we are doing the same thing! Maybe we can give each other moral support! Hubbie wants us to do crying it out as well, and he is taking over in Nov to watch her when I go back to work and he said he was going to do it then. But I think I would do it a little nicer-if you know what I mean! How are you doing it? I am going in every 20 minutes and checking her diaper and seeing if she is hungry every other time. She fell asleep two minutes after I went in and left...1 hour and 1 minute.

so are you doing cry it out as well? We are doing it for naps and nighttime. She is crying as we speak. so hard...just dont want her to hate her crib or hate sleeping

my baby measured today EXACTLY the same as yours. 15lb 10oz and 25 inches

hey, saw your post in 4 months. spinach is a good one. we all loved that as babies. with a bit of cheese sauce or gravy.

I didn't like idea, but my dr told me to go for both Zentac every 6 hours (since that is the only FDA approved drug for infants) and rice cereal added to milk each time.
She said to start with 1.5 spoon per bottle and later increase to 2 spoons. If I breastfeed, I make 1-2 oz with cereal in a bottle before feeding.
baby hates Zentac so we quit that one but cereal alone works great. You do have to get variable flow nipples (Avent are great) so cereal goes through easily without baby working too hard. Good luck.
Be careful with other drugs since they are not approved for infants!

maryb318 my son has reflux and has projective vomitter since day 1. Zentac did nothing but adding 2 spoons of rice cereal (since 8th week) made a huge difference in spit ups.He is 4 month, 17 lbs, 28'' and feels much better. I breastfeed and pump. I add cereal to pumped milk or prepare 2 oz of pumped milk with rice and breastfeed after.

My son has had it since day one. I had to switch pediatricians just so I didnt think I was crazy!!
My son is on Zantac and it worked right away for him. He is also on soy which, with the combo helped a ton!
Other things you can do is to put a pillow under his mattress so he is never lying flat. He should be at a 30 degree angle. Feed him upright, and keep him upright for at least 15 min after eating. Make sure you burp him really well. Please let me know if I can be of support. I have been in your shoes and I know what you are going through. A good website to check out is www.reflux.org

Finlaysmum - Thursday, 4 September
Hiya, I'm taking Fin to Scotland in November from Australia. I've been told to either feed or use a pacifier on take off and landing. can you get a basinette on the US flights? I am getting one on the long haul flights. The cabin crew will sterilise bottles and provide you with sterile bottled water, etc. Just go prepared with nappies and clothes. Take a blanket as it can get cold on planes!lolkx

bethk - Wednesday, 3 September
We like to suck on a sweet or something to stop our ears popping and hurting! well good tip is to feed ur baby as you take off and come down to land so their ears wont hurt or pop as their mouth is constantly moving! A dummy/pacifier might do the same job too! It will save a lot of tears!

i had my first baby in the pool. lake and sea from 2 weeks old...
i now have my new baby doing the same....please dont be a text book mommie and go out and enjoy your baby doing things with him when he is so small...also you will be glad you did when you see how much he will enjoy it...just rinse him off afterwards with some fresh water before driving home with him and give him a bath that night and he will be just fine. You will melt when you see their little legs kicking naturally in the water. Have fun xxx Daisy

socalgal - Thursday, 28 August
Personally, I would not do it. If you do research, you'll find that doctors recommend waiting until they're at least 6 months to even go into a pool unless it is heated very warm, because they cannot regulate their temperature very well yet. And plus, lakes can have various bacterias that babies might not be able to fight off as well. I wouldn't take the chance, but like most things, it could turn out okay.
