oh that i didn't know yeah she had the heel prick test and they are saying that the dots didn't get saturated enough so i guess we are gearing up for round two!

oh geez! well i am going to make sure this time also i heard that after 6 wks there is a diaper test they can do where they put a strip in her diaper and they test her pee and i am going to ask if they can do that instead. I am hoping they got it the third time???

i saw your comment on the sleeping forum. i see no one realy helped you and i hope you are surviving. my boy is 2 months and very very colick. he would cry 12 hrs a day. i rented "the happiest baby on the block" dvd from the library. lifesaver!!!!! definately go get it asap. it saved my mind and i have a happy baby now

Congrats on your baby girl! I'm pretty sure the doctors haven't a clue about the prognosis. Luckily they haven't given any guesses other than there is a chance of mild developmental delay to severe problems. I have a Godson who developed hydrocephalus as a result of spinal mengitis at 3 days old. He is now 22 months and is doing well. We pray both babies (my Godson and my baby) have outcomes just like yours!

I forgot one thing....depending on the degree of your episiotomy an otc stool softenor is not a bad idea. I had a 4th degree and I don't even want to think about not having that softenor, I know tmi but it helped so much!!

Saw your post on the episiotomy forum...my suggestions are any medication the docs having given you, or 1000mg of tylenol works as well. you can take sitz baths, at least my doc said i could so I would fill up the tub with about 3-5 inches of warm water, not hot, and sit there for a few minutes and you can do that a few times a day if you really feel like it and it helps, also the tucks pads are great for after using the bathroom. Or an ice pack may help you feel better as well. If they gave you a squirt bottle for using the bathroom, def use that, I used it for a good month after my deliver, just make sure the water is not too hot cause that burns! If they didn't give you one I definitely suggest you make hubby go get you one, will help you keep clean and helps it not sting. And the only other thing I can suggest is not pushing yourself too hard and relax when you can, and find a comfortable way to sit and eveyrthing should heal just fine. yep total waist of my 5 bucks no contractions nothing but gas! Its diffrent with every woman so try it if you want but take the max it says on the bottel because just a little doesnt do the trick. good luck
