My name is maria and I am 22 years old. I have 2 daughters, 2.5 year old Kayla and 1 year old Siara. My first daughter was born 5 weeks early, weighing 4 lb 14 oz 18 in, she was induced due to some complications, so i was very excited to carry my second to term. Siara Ashlyn Tang was born on July 3, 7 lb 6 oz 20.5 in.

My husband is chinese and I am white. My first daughter Kayla looks very mixed, but my second Siara looks 100% chinese! I was very suprised, they dont even look like sisters, but they are both just as beautiful.

Its been really hard taking care of an infant and a toddler, especially when they both decide to cry at the same time. But I wouldnt have it any other way, they are the joy of my life.

MY BIRTH STORY..

I was due on July 4, and I actually almost made it to my due date. I was induced with my first so i didnt really know what kind of signs of labour to look for. With my first daughter, contractions came REALLY fast and REALLY strong. So at 12:00 noon on july 2 right after trying to "induce labour" at home :) I felt a cramp in my tummy, or so i thought. It wasnt much and i didnt think much of it, they continued for the rest of the day, but still i didnt think it was reall labour because they were all over the place, different timing and different intensity, so i was sure it was false labour. At 8 pm that day my mom forced me to go to the hospital to get checked out, even tho i was sure they r just going to send me home. When i got to the hospital the nurse checked me n to my suprise i was already 5 cm! She was trying to convince me to have a drug free delivery but eventually i gave in n got an epidural. Its funny because it was actually My husbands birthday, but becuase i didnt think i was in labour i told him he could go grab a drink with friends. I called him around 10 n told him he better get his a$$ down here cause the baby is coming. After they broke my water it went fast and Siara Ashlyn Tang was born at 2:03 am July 3. 7 lb 6 oz 20.5 in. She just almost was born on my hubbys b day, but im glad she wasnt cause she deserves her own day.

OK.. here is my weight loss progress as of January 22/08. I'v gained a total of 80 pounds with Siara and by Jan 22 had already lost 34 Lbs (plus 13 Lbs of baby and stuff at delivery). sooo as of today, I weigh 151 lbs, Goal: 125-130. About 25 Lbs to go.....
