pregnancy positive pregnant

Im a mother of 3 beautiful boys. I just recently found out that i have a 4th baby on the way! WOW! Let the good times roll

Thursday, 13 Dec
i went to the doctor on monday, my husband was with me and we got to see the baby again :). it was all over the place, a huge difference from how small it was 4 weeks ago with a heartbeat flutter. Well its just one (whew). I am just getting huge due to the fact that this is my 5th pregnancy (lost my first pregnancy in my 15th week), so my muscles and all are stretched. Yeah that helps the self esteem. So much for my year with a personal trainer...LOL. No worries.

Friday, 28 Dec
Well xmas eve i spent it in the er hooked to an IV. I had a severe G.I. virus. After 2 liters i went home and still didnt feel alot better. They didnt check the baby while i was in there, basically there isnt anything they could do if something had gone wrong b/c i am only 13 weeks. Still would have liked to hear the heartbeat. Anyhow, went home i couldnt eat anything or drink a whole lot xmas day or on wed. My stomach still hurt really bad and i felt like i would throw up again if i ate. My ob said not to worry about not eating but to do my best with the fluids. I basically was just sipping on something all day. I also had a really bad sore throat on wed. I figured it was from all the straining when i was throwing up, but when i woke up this morning around 4 am with my throat closing up on me, i wasnt able to talk and i was having trouble breathing. I ended up going to an urgent care later in the morning and they sent me to the hospital via a cab (they didnt want me to drive b/c they were afraid i would pass out). Apparently i was still dehydrated pretty badly and he wanted me to be put on an iv drip. Well at the er i found that i have strep throat, and was given a dose of steroids, tylenol, a large dose of antibiotics and some ibuprofen. I of coursed asked them over and over if it was ok for me to have that and be pregnant, they told me yes. The steroids did the trick and opened up my throat. They also didnt check my baby, i have an ob appt coming up, but i cant help but worry a little.

well i am feeling a bit better after being on the antibiotics for 3 days. I have lost the 3 lbs that i gained this pregnancy along with 2 extra. Its ok, i am more than sure that after i get over all this yucky stuff that i will make up for it later. In the meantime, the belly is still growing. My toddler keeps playing with my belly button and pushing on my growing tummy.

Feeling the baby move :)

Sunday, 13 Jan
my boobs are getting huge and hurt like heck. For some reason my hubby thinks its a green light to mess with them....NOOOOOO TOUCHIE. heheheheMy 22 month old keeps poking them saying `boobie `. Yeah he is a breastfed baby. I hope he handles the new baby nursing well.

Wednesday, 16 Jan
been feeling pretty good, being able to enjoy the pregnancy :). Yay for 2nd trimester.

Thursday, 24 Jan

I was rear ended yesterday while i was on my way home from owen `s Dr. `s appt. I had all the kids in the car with me. We were sitting at a red light and a lady talking on the cell phone not paying attention hit us going around 35 to 40 miles an hour. We were hit pretty hard. Aidan was in the third row seat sleeping when it happened. We were all wearing our seatbelts and the kids seemed to be fine. Well apparently when i called the police they wouldnt send an officer to take a report b/c i said everyone was seemed to be fine. Oregon is a no fault state so they dont send anyone. BTW we were in a very very busy intersection when it happened. UNREAL. So now it is coming down to my word against hers. Anyhow...i ended up in the er all night hooked to an iv, i had gone into preterm labor, which at 17 weeks is a very very bad thing. Basically there isnt much anything they can do to stop it and if you have the baby at that time it would have no chance of survival. So this is what i was faced with, along with very real painful contractions that were pretty close together. I was put on an iv to push fluids which my ob said could help stop them, but if not then we would have to try to figure something else out. They checked the heartbeat...it was 160+ bpm which meant the baby was a bit excited about the whole thing. I was given an ultrasound to check the placenta. I also had a cervix check in which it was closed. THANK GOD! By the end of the night my contractions were not as intense and had spread out to every 30 mins. I was finally released a little after midnight. Im home now, and im still having some sporadic contractions but over all i feel ok. So ask me what we are having...lol.Oh and my van is smashed in the back. :((

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

Saturday, 23 Feb

Went to my 20 week ultrasound on monday (18th) It was with a perinatalogist to make sure that everything looked good, since my last son had malrotation of the small bowels. Well it looks good. I will have to have another one when i am 32 wks just to make sure that things dont change. Well i was told the baby is a little over 14 ounces...WOW almost a pound. I need to post the ultrasound pics, they came out great! He is still a HE...lol. I keep getting comments about how big i am. I really have gotten even bigger this past month. I need to also take some more belly pics. :)

Saturday, 23 Feb

Oh yeah...Aidan (my second son) felt the baby the other night, he was so excited about feeling his baby brother. now when the baby kicks you can see my stomach move with it...its awesome!!! Oh the baby seemed to have moved, he was laying longways...with his head at my right hip and his feet at my left, well it seemed to have done wonders for my braxton hicks...YAY. so i am getting some relief finally. They did however check my cervix to make sure the contractions havent been doing anything...everything looked good. My dr still wants to do a ffn test when i am 23 wks. Im ok with it, its better to be safe then sorry. I am still having them, just not as often and the pressure has lifted, I think he is now head down on my right side. thats where i am feeling him, and up under my right ribcage.

Tuesday, 4 Mar

Tristan was rolling inside me big time this morning, it was like he was doing tricks in there. Maybe he will be a skate boarder or gymnist...lol. I cant wait to snuggle him and pat his little butt. :P

Tuesday, 1 Apr

Ok sooo, it seems that april fools started early for me, this weekend was full of me having early contractions (pain), the ceiling in the living room opening up and releasing a tsunami, Owen running a high grade fever accompanied by puking. Oh and this morning...Coco knocked me down on the top of the stairs while i was carrying Conor, lets just say i did a great impression of a bobsled. I went all the way from the top to the bottom, hitting my head, back, butt, and thighs the whole way down. When we finally stopped, conor was crying and all i could think was that his poor leg that just got out of the cast yesterday was broken again. I had completely forgotten i was pregnant and was too busy looking over Conor and not thinking about myself and Tristan. Well i feel as though my back and butt got rug burns, im covered in bruises and basically sore. It seems as the hours stack up, the soreness gets a little worse. AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. WTF, who mad us the target of the cosmic toilet bowl??? So now i am limping around, rug burned, pregnant, and there is a huge fucking hole in the ceiling in the livingroom that Gil is trying to fix. Did i mention also that I clogged the toilet again with the massive pregnancy craps that keep being expelled from my body? Sorry if thats tmi, but, i gotta rant somewhere. lol. The thing is...it sucks and all, but it is so sucky it is almost comical. In other news...SWEENEY TODD comes out on dvd today wooohooooo

Hi there mattie how are you today I guess I dont have GD they havent called back so yay :-)

blessedjoy - Monday, 21 April
First, ask me questions anytime. If I can answer I will do so. Second, sorry this is sooo long. I talk a lot too.
GD is a tricky thing. For me, to make it all click; I simply had to adjust eating schedules and portions. I am a night person transferring to daytime life. I had to set an alarm and eat half of a peanut butter sandwich at 8am daily. I use a tester that will sound at 2.5 hrs later. I test sugars, pop my GD pill, and eat if need be. SMALL, Small insanely small meals. At first, I simply couldn't follow the meal plans. My sugars would go nuts. I had to trick my body into the diet. For me, I was a twice a day eater, not huge meals either, just two sittings. I had to learn to eat the recommended 7 times a day. After my PB sandwich, I would have two tbls of cottage cheese and a small apple. Fyi, sometimes fruits can make your sugars go nuts too, especially in the beginning. Lunch, I had 3oz of chicken, boiled or roasted... NO MORE. 2.5 hours later, I would have another 3oz of chicken. At dinnertime, I would have my carbs. Yes, I think I was hungry but after a week, my sugars adjusted to the high protein diet and the nagging hungry or thought of hunger when down. I still don't really follow the GD diet to a T. I found that eggs make my sugar race. My snack is sherbet or a handful of nuts. As of last appt, I now can go 4 hours between meals. I am down to 5 daily sittings, mostly protein still. My sugars began to level out. For me, it was the starch and carbs. I now eat a variety of veggies that have low sugars, but no more than 3oz of any one item. ie, 3oz of chicken/fish/beef with 3oz of veggies. I lost some weight and baby gained normally. Since you can't exercise, ask if you can walk to get the mail at least. I use the walk to my box my exercise or I circle my house twice. When they told me not exercise, they meant to say no cardio workouts to make me sweat. Get clarification on No Exercise. If you can sit with a can of soup and do arm lifts, do that. The Idea is to move the sugars around your body to burn off the sugars, not burn a sweat. If your GD counselor has not informed you, your sugars can go as high at 130 before you should be alarmed. Yet, normal ranges should be 120 and lower. Every person had a cap range and further test will find your cap. My cap is actually 150. At 150, I must call the nurse for assistance. My low cap (time when you shake uncontrollably) is 63. Some women have caps as high as 80 or 90. These women have had Type 2 for a long time before being noticed or tested. It is said the woman with GD have larger babies. However, each person is different and only your baby will really know. My doctor is not focusing on the size; he is focused on my keeping my sugar under 120. I am having an electing c-section due to my spinal cord defect, not the GD. Yet, if I didn’t have the birth defect, I sure would ask for one due to the large babies of GD mothers. No inducing with me; due to chromosome issues, my other pregnancies ended in loses. Relax, and focus on small portions and minimal exercises. With my spine problem, I have now been bed-rested 5 times. I still do some exercise to burn the sugars. Can lifts for arms and ligament stretching from the legs. I have terrible ligament pains in my legs and groin. The stretches help and I don’t burn a sweat, I move sugars to help lower the counts. Remember one day at a time. If it takes you a week to regulate, it took you a week. Don’t beat yourself up because of it. Everyone is different.

Hi I cant get my results till monday lucky its not type 2 diabetes in pregnancy.I heard with gestational diabetes women have bigger babys apparently my boys just a little smaller than average .But I also read babys can be smaller so just waiting for mondays call.

JennSever - Thursday, 17 April
oh sweetie i am so sorry - its so frustrating to know the reason behind things that happen such as that..i have decided to not get my new baby her shots at all until at least 2 and even then certain ones. i also am opting out of the salve they put into the babies eyes at birth. its antibiotic and i have read up on it and its unnecessary...

supamom - Thursday, 17 April
Hi there I read your post in week 29 I failed my glucose drink and have my 3 hour test first thing in the morning.I dont know to much about diabetes and any risks for baby.It is worrying me a bit.Apparently my test was very high.If you could shed some light on gestional diabetes that would be greatly appreciated.
I also have 3 boys and another boy on the way lol.

ukdutypaid - Thursday, 17 April
omg babes, thats soooo awful, omg, will that have anything to do with the contractions and stuff.... so how often do u take it... what a pain in the arse... and the worst bit is.. no sweets........ ;) how u gonna cope, ill double up for u, lol
but seriously thats not funny. so does it go once the babys born. and can it be dangerous.
i guess i dont really know that much about it.
is it a strict diet, or anything sugar related.

did u kinda guess?
omg chick...
well if it goes as soon as the baby comes think of it like this, not too long.

apart from that big shocker, everything else ok?
kids ok?
im signing the boys up for martial arts tonight. im hoping that will help my 5yr old to be a bit less naughty at school... he has been so bad, lol
last night i let him in my bed, i cuddled him till he slept and stroked his head... and he loved it, and has been sooo good this morning, well its only 7.30, lol

kbushby - Wednesday, 16 April
your welcome. when i found out i had it with my son i only had two weeks left so i didnt learn much..(i didnt get my lab resluts back)... but this time around i went to my friend who had it and asked her things. she went to a place called care or her and tey made her go to weekly appts for it so she learnde a lot!! good luck tommorrow. just remember to stay away froms carbs cuz they convert to sugars. and for sure stay away from sugar whether its natural(in fruit) or not.

kbushby - Wednesday, 16 April
okay heres some advice.. gestational diabetes and regualr diabetes are really different. there are things you can eat when you have it not pregnant then when you are... heres a list of things you can eat as much as you want of: cheese, eggs, meats(unseasoned), butter, broccoli, carrots, celery, cucmber, cauliflower, mayo, mustard, bell peppers, cilantro, oil, berries..things to watch: any melon, strawberries, apples, diet sodas, crackers, chips, bread, katsup, bbq suace, corn, oatmeal etc... this is one thing i have for a snack sometimes. cheese(fatty foods help slow the process of carbs breaking down) salami, crackers. check the back of the box and check the amount of carbs. minus the amount of fiber and that will be the actual amount of carbs. with gestational diabetes you can only have ten crabs in one sitting. so say if the box says its 20 carbs for 16 crackers. then you can have about 12 because you are gonna have cheese with it. you should be eating every three hours. not meals, but snack on things, another snack i do i i eat half an apple.. to lowe the carbs peel it. i hope this helps. if you have a sald just dont put a ton of dressing. ranch, italian, blue cheese, cesear are all okay. things you have to stay away from: juice, oranges, mangos, soda, cereal, milk, instant oatmeal, sugar, honey, potatoes, yogurt, frozen yogurt and so on.. i hope this helps a little.. if you have any questions ask im more than willing to help you.

blessedmommyof5 - Wednesday, 16 April
Wow! Four boys?!? I have three girls and my 'baby' boy just turned two. He is like all three of my girls, on their worst day, wrapped into one lil' ball of energy! I am expecting my 5th now and as much as I'd like him to have a brother to pal around with...I don't know if the world is ready for another Avery lol! Congratulaions to you..you definitely have my respect for living in house full of testosterone!

ukdutypaid - Thursday, 10 April
sounds like u have been busy, lol, im glad everythings going ok .. well i mean im glad he isant going to make an early appearence, well not yet, he is definatly keen to come.... we dont really do the glucose tests here, not unless we need to, we have our urine tested every midwife visit we go to. and that can show signs of sugar in the pee,
im good just so bloody tired, worked today and it wiped me right out, im soo ready for my bed, but its a good tired, its nice being tired from doing something instead of being tired from sat on my bum all day, lmao....
what position is he lying, mines turned from tranverse...across to oblique, but the complete opposite way, so he has done a 180 degree turn, and it hurt, lol, im sure ive told u, my memory is soooo bad lately..lol. im not too keen on the new site, and it plays up abit, im happy with things not changing though, except i lik to move furniture around to make it feel like a new house, lol
any news on someone buying ur place.... i keep willing them over, lol

Alaska79 - Monday, 7 April

ukdutypaid - Wednesday, 2 April
wow...the new look made me jump, im confused, lol...... help, lol.....
well we had a lovely day yesterday, i built the kids trampoline, then unbuilt it cus i got it wrong, and then i sat crying until the anger made me re build it, lol.... kids enjoyed it, now i need to buy a big egg timer cus all i had was, is it my turn yet, lol. my new hoover and kettle came yesterday, both look good, and both do a good job.... and we had a BBQ with this old one that was left here when we moved in..OMG... its rusy and the food kept falling into the charcoal, but it was fun and good and warm..ish. so yesterday was a good day. my stuff from ebay came, it was jungle bedding, looks lovely. kinda unisex, when it has blue or pink teddies on when its in its bed it will look either way. im now looking at about 4 hours worth of ironing, but my sciatica is sooo bad, i hope t goes when this babys born, ..x.x..x.x so how is the haunted house? lol

ukdutypaid - Tuesday, 1 Apr
ok well that message worked, lol, ok... ill try again, lol, sounds like u have had a crazy few days.......... so did they take long to stop the contractions, did they say why they started... cant beleive u have had some, scary how we can go into labour at any minute... some women in the chat rooms at about 34-36 weeks actually ask how they get start there own labour, 1 woman i think was 37 weeks and asked how she could break her own water... omg, what crazy women, dont they have any idea. sorry to hear about ur about ur ceiling, sounds like u ahve a haunted house that doesnt want you to leave, lol, hope it sells quick, think it will? ..
um.... trying to think what else i wrote...lol..... well looks like we have some sun today, clocks went forward sunday and since then the sun seems to have found its way to us, but still chilly... kids are bored, gonna have a great day out saturday, were going to the cinema and to a sea life center, which to us is big... but to u and the states small, lol, everything is soo expensive here, even the things that are free like the beach ... costs money, picnic and fuel. lol. but one thing we have lots of here in Cornwall is beaches....
so how is the little one doing now he nearly had a scare of joining us in the world, lol.. i cant get over how hard some of these kicks are, right under my right rib cage its like i catch its foot or something, or its bum is sat right there...
still dont have a clue about names, not gonna think until i know what it is, we were like that with my first, think it was the day before we had a great idea and chose a name for a boy. well i wrote loads more before but its all gone.... omg, i cant get over how bad my memory is, is disgustingly bad..... normal i guess, lol...

ukdutypaid - Tuesday, 1 Apr
i just wrote bloody loads and this site messed up... grrrrr.... ill try again later honey, dont want to write loads again and have it all go...

kerriberri74 - Saturday, 29 Mar
when my baby was horizontal the pressure was bad, and I could feel him pushing down, and everything down below felt like it was broke. Now he is head down and its ten times worse, because he is as low as he can possibly get. I would get checked out, just to be sure and for you own piece of mind. Good luck to you and best wishes.

ukdutypaid - Saturday, 29 Mar
yeah im good, looking forward to another boring day, we seem to get one lovely... but cold day, followed by a few days of terrential rain, when we went on holiday, it snowed like crazy, how bizzarre huh, a few years ago in march we were all getting sun burnt. think i need some sun and vitamin D....... kids are still in bed, i woke up 3 times busting for a pee, cus ive slowed down on my eating, well not slowed down just cut out alot of bad stuff, im pissing like a trouper, lol. hows ur little clan doing?
