pregnancy positive pregnant

Im a mother of 3 beautiful boys. I just recently found out that i have a 4th baby on the way! WOW! Let the good times roll

Thursday, 13 Dec
i went to the doctor on monday, my husband was with me and we got to see the baby again :). it was all over the place, a huge difference from how small it was 4 weeks ago with a heartbeat flutter. Well its just one (whew). I am just getting huge due to the fact that this is my 5th pregnancy (lost my first pregnancy in my 15th week), so my muscles and all are stretched. Yeah that helps the self esteem. So much for my year with a personal trainer...LOL. No worries.

Friday, 28 Dec
Well xmas eve i spent it in the er hooked to an IV. I had a severe G.I. virus. After 2 liters i went home and still didnt feel alot better. They didnt check the baby while i was in there, basically there isnt anything they could do if something had gone wrong b/c i am only 13 weeks. Still would have liked to hear the heartbeat. Anyhow, went home i couldnt eat anything or drink a whole lot xmas day or on wed. My stomach still hurt really bad and i felt like i would throw up again if i ate. My ob said not to worry about not eating but to do my best with the fluids. I basically was just sipping on something all day. I also had a really bad sore throat on wed. I figured it was from all the straining when i was throwing up, but when i woke up this morning around 4 am with my throat closing up on me, i wasnt able to talk and i was having trouble breathing. I ended up going to an urgent care later in the morning and they sent me to the hospital via a cab (they didnt want me to drive b/c they were afraid i would pass out). Apparently i was still dehydrated pretty badly and he wanted me to be put on an iv drip. Well at the er i found that i have strep throat, and was given a dose of steroids, tylenol, a large dose of antibiotics and some ibuprofen. I of coursed asked them over and over if it was ok for me to have that and be pregnant, they told me yes. The steroids did the trick and opened up my throat. They also didnt check my baby, i have an ob appt coming up, but i cant help but worry a little.

well i am feeling a bit better after being on the antibiotics for 3 days. I have lost the 3 lbs that i gained this pregnancy along with 2 extra. Its ok, i am more than sure that after i get over all this yucky stuff that i will make up for it later. In the meantime, the belly is still growing. My toddler keeps playing with my belly button and pushing on my growing tummy.

Feeling the baby move :)

Sunday, 13 Jan
my boobs are getting huge and hurt like heck. For some reason my hubby thinks its a green light to mess with them....NOOOOOO TOUCHIE. heheheheMy 22 month old keeps poking them saying `boobie `. Yeah he is a breastfed baby. I hope he handles the new baby nursing well.

Wednesday, 16 Jan
been feeling pretty good, being able to enjoy the pregnancy :). Yay for 2nd trimester.

Thursday, 24 Jan

I was rear ended yesterday while i was on my way home from owen `s Dr. `s appt. I had all the kids in the car with me. We were sitting at a red light and a lady talking on the cell phone not paying attention hit us going around 35 to 40 miles an hour. We were hit pretty hard. Aidan was in the third row seat sleeping when it happened. We were all wearing our seatbelts and the kids seemed to be fine. Well apparently when i called the police they wouldnt send an officer to take a report b/c i said everyone was seemed to be fine. Oregon is a no fault state so they dont send anyone. BTW we were in a very very busy intersection when it happened. UNREAL. So now it is coming down to my word against hers. Anyhow...i ended up in the er all night hooked to an iv, i had gone into preterm labor, which at 17 weeks is a very very bad thing. Basically there isnt much anything they can do to stop it and if you have the baby at that time it would have no chance of survival. So this is what i was faced with, along with very real painful contractions that were pretty close together. I was put on an iv to push fluids which my ob said could help stop them, but if not then we would have to try to figure something else out. They checked the heartbeat...it was 160+ bpm which meant the baby was a bit excited about the whole thing. I was given an ultrasound to check the placenta. I also had a cervix check in which it was closed. THANK GOD! By the end of the night my contractions were not as intense and had spread out to every 30 mins. I was finally released a little after midnight. Im home now, and im still having some sporadic contractions but over all i feel ok. So ask me what we are having...lol.Oh and my van is smashed in the back. :((

Saturday, 23 Feb

Went to my 20 week ultrasound on monday (18th) It was with a perinatalogist to make sure that everything looked good, since my last son had malrotation of the small bowels. Well it looks good. I will have to have another one when i am 32 wks just to make sure that things dont change. Well i was told the baby is a little over 14 ounces...WOW almost a pound. I need to post the ultrasound pics, they came out great! He is still a HE...lol. I keep getting comments about how big i am. I really have gotten even bigger this past month. I need to also take some more belly pics. :)

Saturday, 23 Feb

Oh yeah...Aidan (my second son) felt the baby the other night, he was so excited about feeling his baby brother. now when the baby kicks you can see my stomach move with it...its awesome!!! Oh the baby seemed to have moved, he was laying longways...with his head at my right hip and his feet at my left, well it seemed to have done wonders for my braxton hicks...YAY. so i am getting some relief finally. They did however check my cervix to make sure the contractions havent been doing anything...everything looked good. My dr still wants to do a ffn test when i am 23 wks. Im ok with it, its better to be safe then sorry. I am still having them, just not as often and the pressure has lifted, I think he is now head down on my right side. thats where i am feeling him, and up under my right ribcage.

Tuesday, 4 Mar

Tristan was rolling inside me big time this morning, it was like he was doing tricks in there. Maybe he will be a skate boarder or gymnist...lol. I cant wait to snuggle him and pat his little butt. :P

Tuesday, 1 Apr

Ok sooo, it seems that april fools started early for me, this weekend was full of me having early contractions (pain), the ceiling in the living room opening up and releasing a tsunami, Owen running a high grade fever accompanied by puking. Oh and this morning...Coco knocked me down on the top of the stairs while i was carrying Conor, lets just say i did a great impression of a bobsled. I went all the way from the top to the bottom, hitting my head, back, butt, and thighs the whole way down. When we finally stopped, conor was crying and all i could think was that his poor leg that just got out of the cast yesterday was broken again. I had completely forgotten i was pregnant and was too busy looking over Conor and not thinking about myself and Tristan. Well i feel as though my back and butt got rug burns, im covered in bruises and basically sore. It seems as the hours stack up, the soreness gets a little worse. AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. WTF, who mad us the target of the cosmic toilet bowl??? So now i am limping around, rug burned, pregnant, and there is a huge fucking hole in the ceiling in the livingroom that Gil is trying to fix. Did i mention also that I clogged the toilet again with the massive pregnancy craps that keep being expelled from my body? Sorry if thats tmi, but, i gotta rant somewhere. lol. The thing is...it sucks and all, but it is so sucky it is almost comical. In other news...SWEENEY TODD comes out on dvd today wooohooooo

Sorry to hear about the accident, but very happy to hear that you are all ok. That is crazy about the police not coming! BS. Glad to hear your contractions stopped too, that would be scary...Another boy! That is what will happen with us too probably. But, I will be happy no matter what. I just want a BFP. Trying the LH surge test this month and it came up positive this morning, just waiting for the hubby to come home. He is an EMT, and is at the fire dept. I wish the best for you and your 4 beautiful boys...

Oh God, honey!
I am so glad you guys are okay, what a terrible ordeal for you to go through, thank God the little unborn baby hung on for you.
So this will be four boys!
Well, I was hoping for a girl for you, but maybe next time, if there is a next time?
Take it easy sweetheart, rest and relax, until those contractions stop altogether, sounds like the uterus is irritable after such a shock, just let it calm down, and rest as much as you can.
I will check up on you frequently
Love Niki

ecstaticmommy2b - Friday, 25 Jan
YOU'RE WELCOME GIRL!! AND THANK YOU AS WELL!! TAKE CARE!!

robynj - Thursday, 24 Jan
Oh my gosh, I am so glad that you are all okay. He in California it is against the law to drive and talk on a cellphone at the same time, you now have to wear a blue tooth or ear piece of some sort. But who pays attention to that, the cops even drive around talking on cellphones. People are so dumb.
Well, G-D was watching over you and your little ones, and I hope all goes well with the rest of your pregnancy. You are in my prayers.

Peace and Blessings!
Robyn

Hi, Thanks for the nice coms, i changed my dentist and told the entire practice what i thought, and boy did it feel good, thanks for the support.

aderyn3 - Wednesday, 23 Jan
Good luck going without the epidural! I wish my nurses would have been supportive. One of them was my aunt's neighbor, and she was the worst at pushing me to get one. I found out a few months later she was having an affair with the anesthesiologist and left her husband and 4 kids to be with him, so I wonder if that's why she was so set on it...lol. I wouldn't wish the gallstones on anyone. I'm trying to manage it with diet, and I've been good since the week before Thanksgiving now.

ukdutypaid - Tuesday, 22 Jan

Hi there! I saw your post on the labor pain board. I'm expecting my 4th baby, and this will be my 3rd natural labor (and homebirth.) I had an induced, hospital birth with my first and had an epidural after 20 hours of labor. It completely threw my body out of whack. I had to stay in the hospital for almost a whole week for a vaginal delivery because they couldn't get my heart rate down. On top of that, it took at least another 2 weeks for me to feel remotely normal. With my 2 homebirths, I felt great! The pain was so much less. After the first one, I took the new baby shopping the next day for her first new outfit. With both, I was back to work by 3 days (I do medical transcription from home.) I've had kidney stones and gallstones since my last birth, and I told the doctor I would gladly be going through natural labor, rather than that! Good luck!

kandonsmom - Thursday, 17 Jan
I have had one child with an epidural and one with out. With my second I didn't have one and noticed that by not sitting or laying down I didn't hardly feel the contractions. I walked and it wasn't comfortable but it wasn't unbearable. When they made me stay in the room I stood up until they had to check me and as soon as I layed down I was miserable. When they were done I jumped right back up and the pain really decreased. Being around people who are positive and keeping your mind on other stuff helps too. We talked about my other son and work and everthing else you can imagine. It is different with everyone but I am getting ready to deliver and they will not make me lay down. The only time I ever hurt was laying down. The pushing wasn't even that bad when I could sit up. You can always try different stuff and see what works for you. When you can't stand it just ask for meds.

ukdutypaid - Thursday, 17 Jan
good morning, up at 5 again, yay..lol... watch baby tales or something else like it on discovery, seen most of them the first time i was pregnant, lol
well work today, all 3 kids are going to school thank god, i hate it went there sick and theres nothing i can do, which has toughened me up and they must think mummys a mean cow, lol, well have a good day.... i laid there for ages, giving the baby every opputunity to kick.. nothing, lol... wait till i get to poke him, lol

Alaska79 - Thursday, 17 Jan
Hey, how are you doing? Today was a crappy day for me. I'm having more morning sickness with this one than I had with Brenna. Still not throwing up, but sure feeling the urges to. I've had no appetite today either. BLAH. I'll live :)

wildberry - Wednesday, 16 Jan
i had a home birth with my son he just turned four so no meds for me I'm having another home birth with this baby and yes it is very painful but your a mom you can Handel the pain(: i highly recommend the Bradley method i hope things go better for you this time happy growing(:

robynj - Wednesday, 16 Jan
Thanks for the msg. I was almost there the other day but I stopped myself. I am actually doing pretty well with this being my 1st pregnancy. I have scheduled a C-Section, my family has a history with bad pregnancies and I don't want to add to the collection. I figure less stress on me, less on the baby, and less on my husband. I try to stay positive and make the most out of everyday. I am just very anxious to find out if we are having a boy or girl, hopefully if G-D permits and the baby cooperate with us. We want a girl but we will be ecstatic with either one. How is your pregnancy doing, you are a pro at this.

Peace & Blessings

momma-in-may - Wednesday, 16 Jan
Well thank ya very much! No I don't...I was going to but then found out I was pregnant! Haha...I don't think I'm going to get it done...the one side hurt really really bad, lol.

ukdutypaid - Wednesday, 16 Jan
im sure you having a little girl would be wonderful, as we both know if its aboy.. you will feel the same. i dont mind really... my boys cry and moan alot and my daughter is bossy and is like my husband, lol, so either way im gonna get grief off them, lol, but i love it, i have a name for a boy, and not for a girl yet, i like Harrison for a boy, kids are excited, but yeah i really dont mind, ill go for healthy at the moment, get these blood results out of the way... i do have to say. im so enjoying being pregnant at the mo, and knowing its my last cus of being..hopefully...steralised really makes me want to enjoy every moment of this, infact the more i enjoy it the scared i get about being steralised, but 4 kids is plenty..lol
