Aug 9 scary night. Been feeling great, but all of a sudden a gush of bright blood. We went 2 t/ER, had cervix checked, wasnt dilated, had t/doppler check t/heartbeat(147)n then an U/s..baby and everything looked normal. my planceta was abit lying low.."not normal but not abnormal either"he said..
Aug 12 went back 2 t/ER cause I continued to bleed. had an internal exam, wasnt dilated. was then scooted off(w/awhole bunch of my family in tow)to the fetal eval(have better U/s machines than the one in the ER rooms)got my first 3d/4d scan, a regular and an internal U/s. showed my placenta is covering the opening of my womb, and is causing t/ bleeding. its a girl! 4-6 weeks the placenta should move. Also t/photos showed, braxton hick, she looked smoosed!
Aug 15 first kicks16.1 wks 10:47am Melia kicked me like crazy(atleast 7x`s)
Aug 15 Progestrone injections arrived via FedEx
Aug 18 started t/ Progestrone injections today...also t/nurse had a doppler, heard t/ HB 140`s. Moving like crazy.
Aug 20 prenatal appt. HR155
Aug 25 injection(it hurt owie!)nurse had a doppler HB 160 (Melia Riley is very comfy on my right side, so obvious the nurse saw her)didnt like the wand,kicked it 2 times
Aug 25 U/s..cervix still closed. Melia gave tech a hard time. everything looks real good. She weighs 7 ounces. My placenta moved abit, say by wk 22 it will be back where it should.
Sept 2. injection today HR160
Sep 2. 2wk high risk appt. so far they dont want to put a cerclage in. HR there was 155. having ligament pain. gained 2LBS.125lbs.

10/20-10/29 was admitted 2 t/hosptial 4 severve contractions. Dr.Wolfe gave me 2 shots of Steriods. Nurses wouldnt let me sleep! Grr. Baby is 2pounds. Cervix is same, n have NOT dilated.
11/05 doc appt. took glocuse test. yucky flat pop! Said if baby was born 2day woudl have t/same surv rate as a newborn. Got flu shot, n an order 2c physcial therapy 4 my aches/pains. 137lbs HB145 Dec3 and once a week after Stress test. Got glasses today. Boobs leakin! yuck.
11/06 gloc.came back fine

12/03 What a day! Got meds 4 insomina(bendrayl)n indigestion(pep)did NOT lose my mucus plug. Very dehrayted. 138.25 is my weight. stress test ok. baby is 4pounds 18inch.lots of hair. having contractions, wanted me 2 stay 4 abit. said no. signed a waiver. drinkin tons of h20, gotta keep up w/it.
I am a proud mama 2 my preemie Princess, Mayla. She was born 2LBS,14weeks early. She overcame it all! Mayla is very loved, n very proud 2b her mama. I just know she will love being a big sis!

Sorry for your losses. Congrats on your pregnancy. I have Hughes syndrome ( sticky blood) so the baby is losing oxygen due to blood clots so I take two Heparin shots a day. I did take Prometrium ( progesterone suppositories 3 times a day until week 13. Your daughter is beautiful. I am also on a high risk prenatal vitamin called Neevo. Everything is going well. We rented a heartbeat doppler and I listen to it every other day. The heartbeat is usually around 150-155. Good luck and I will be thinking of you and your family during this exciting time. Hey there!! How are you?! As soon as my hubby gets home from the store, I'm getting my first shot and I sure hope you are right about the contractions stopping!!! It was SOOOO funny. We ended up going to Home Depot at the same time - he for work, me for home stuff. Anyways, this guy in line behind me was like...so you're drinking water for two. I said "no, for 3 and that guy who just passed you with that big cart of stuff did it to me." The guy started cracking up!!

I'm not sure if I worded that correctly, but from what my doctor says, a lot of doctor's aren't doing cerclages anymore bc they have not necessarily been proven to prevent pre-term labor especially on people who are known to have pre-term contractions, like me. He said something about a cerclage can still open and contractions can make it do that. Basically, cerclages help to keep the cervix closed and a lot of people have had good success with them. I have no idea what to expect with them...... I'm so thankful to hear you haven't had any contractions since starting the shots. I hope I have the same luck!! Now if I can get over this back pain...which I just found out is not a UTI.

Heck no, I wish I did! All I know is my friend with the twins had one done, and it worked good, but thats it. I think there is someone in week 17/18 who has a cerclage. A couple actually. Cowgirlygirl knows a lot about that I think. I know bedrest is killing you, especially with a 1 year old! All for the best though, right?! I hope everything goes well at your u/s and you are all good and don't need one. It sucks you are going through so much!

That's too funny about all of the people. My doc brought 3 residents plus the U/S tech with him to my U/S on Tuesday. I told him my IVF doc had 9 residents with him at my son's embryo transfer. He was funny..."said well ya that guy must be more popular than me!" They are friends. WHAT...they didn't get the paperwork for your cervical length?? Doesn't make sense. I'm a no as far as cerclages go at this point, unless something changes when I go back on Sept. 2nd. My cervical length was 30 mm until this week when it was 35 mm. My doc is really concerned that if I have contractions, it will bust the cerclage too early. I start Progesterone shots tomorrow and can't wait for that extra protection!! I still bet I'll only be working for a few weeks. I almost wish I didn't even have to start work until I'm 27 weeks...then at least I know the babies would have a good chance of survival. At this point...I'd almost rather stay home until 8 weeks after they are born...but then there's the money thing. AND I think I'll worry less when I'm working. UGHHHHH....are you having back pains?? My back was killing yesterday and now it's starting up again.

Damn, I didn't know you were still bleeding. Well, thats good its slowing down though. Still on bedrest? Yeah, Melia is really pretty and it sounds good with your daughters name. Mayla & Melia, awwwwwwwwwww! So you find out if you have to get a cerclage in two weeks, huh? Well, whatever is best to keep her safe, right? My friend had one when she was pg with her twins. It kept them in until like 36 weeks, which I guess is good for twins.
I'm feeling good some days and horrible others. But it goes with the territory! I can't wait until this is over though. I'm ready to get back to myself, have my body back. This is it for me!

Yeah...I have some friends who have had GREAT success with the shots!! I bet you can relate on this....I want to do everything possible to not have these babies before 32 weeks. My son had a TON of health problems, as I'm sure your daughter did. He had two heart surgeries within the first 10 months. I NEVER want to go through that again...though I'm realistic it MIGHT be a possibility. I went into pre-term labor with him at 29 weeks. They gave me the magnesium (UGH...that was terrible). He held off for 3 weeks and then my water broke at home.
The blood clots would have freaked me out.....if it makes you feel better I've been to the ER 3x's in the last month, once for spotting (a week ago). I am seeing a high risk doctor. Right now, I'm having ultrasounds every week while he considers whether or not to do the cerclage. Soooo....I'm assuming you are NOT getting one. Am I right?? Has your doctor mentioned anything about it or just the shots??
