jandrews - Tuesday, 2 December
Well I hope all goes well for you and progress over today! The nurse at the hospital said next time I am pregnant...I better get to the hospital as soon as my water breaks! It's such a beautiful treat when it's all over. I haven't been so happy.

jandrews - Tuesday, 2 December
I had my 1st baby on Nov 21st...and it started with water breaking then period cramps in lower back and thighs. Within an hour I was in full contractions and still at home! 1/2 hr later I was calling my midwife again to tell her i am on my way to the hospital as I wanted to push. My hubby had to get up there by ambulance.....and 13mins after getting to the hospital our son was here. I was scared about labour and dellivery! total labour time..2hrs23hrs

clairelouise - Saturday, 1 November
Hi ive just read your week 37 mesage. I had a 43 hour labour with my first daughter through induction as i had first stage pre-eclampsia, I suffered mild depression afterwards aswell, My baby is very healthy and my pregnancy has gone well so i am being given a sweep to hopefully start natural labour so i dont go over my due date or have to go through an induction again,

Hey, im hoping my baby comes early too!! I just have a feeling he will... probably wishful thinkin like u said... he'll probably be that stubborn that ill need inducin to get him out... lazy just like me lol! Hope everythin is goin ok for u tho xx

About echinacea I heard that we can not have it and I also heard that it may induce labor so ask your doc but from what I know I think it is a no no.

dandunam - Tuesday, 7 October
just keep an eye on those contractions. i had lots of braxton hicks (which i don't remember having with my girls) and i did go into pre-term labor. I'm sure it's not related. but i just want you to be aware of those 'contractions' ....more than 4-6 an hour means you should call your doc. i don't want to be a worry-head....just so you are aware of them ;-) listen to your body.....I KNEW when they weren't BH anymore!!

I saw your post I had my ultrasound on wed also and my due date is nov 24th my baby weighed 4.2 and she looked up the percentile and it was 62nd so I don't know if it helps

Hello i'm using peapods.com.au for cloth nappies. I've had friends who swear by them and have never bought one single disposable. They deliver internationally and will answer any questions you have x

After I had my IUD in I NEVER had a period again until I had it taken out 5 yrs later! As far as tissue damage, if I had any it didn't matter, because I'm almost 27 weeks with #3!

I have the same problem trying to find a contraception method. I refuse to take hormones (seems like kind of a bad idea for some reason :P) and the thought of having a foreign body in my uterus causing tissue irritation that will inevitably block a fertilized egg from implanting seems a bit immoral and hard on the uterus. I think the option we are going to take after our little girl is born is going to be a vasectomy for daddy. They are easy to reverse, they can even be clamped so there is no actual cutting and if you want more kids, just get the clamps removed. Of course this means that you would have to be faithful to your partner and that he is invested enough in the relationship to want to get something like that done. Tubal ligation is pretty major surgery and way more expensive than a vasectomy - both of which are elective and not covered by most insurances or state programs.

Thanks for you comment! Ive taken a few online classes before so i know i will be able to handle them... when i first started taking them i was worried about having the discipline BUT i actually loved taking them! I wont start back taking classes on campus until summer semester or maybe even fall.. im going to take as many online as i can, but when i do finally have to go back it wont be that bad because the college is only 20 minunts from my house... I am just thankful that my family is being so supporitive and willing to help. i wouldnt be able to do any of this without them!

Hey.. no, i dont think you come of sounding preachy... i am a young first time mommy so as long as they are not offensive any advice and opinions are greatly appreciated!!! Im not saying that i am NOT going to breastfeed... my options are still open... i have been heavely considering not breastfeeding... alot of the reason i am considering not breastfeeding is because my mom didnt breastfeed me or my older sister, my sister didnt breastfeed either of her kids and none of the kids i baby-sat while i was in high school were breastfead so i guess since i dont know anyone personally who breastfead the whole idea just seems "forign" to me... i live in a really small town and the hospital just built the women's center a little over a year ago and they have no classes... when i first started thinking about the whole breastfeeding situation i was thinking that the hospital had child birthing classes and ETC. and i did some research on the internet and i heard of some women who actually took a breastfeeding class and i figured that since i didnt know anyone who breastfead that taking a class would be the best thing for me... BUT since the women's center is very new they dont offer any classes at all.. when i talked to one of the nurses about this they said they were in the process of getting some classes started but she doubted they would have them started by the time that i gave birth and would be breastfeeding. I also checked the hospitals in the towns near mine and they dont offer the classes or anyother classes for that matter either! Like i said earlier in the message if i had some family or close friends that had breastfead i would probably be alot more open to breastfeeding but i dont know anyone personally who did... i just wish i had someone to give me advice on what worked for them and be there with me and what not... the one thing that i have decided is that i will be using the bottles with the drop in dispenser... my sister used those bottles and we all loved them! the kids that i baby-sat didnt use those kinds of bottles and i noticed that they had alot more gas (not sure if it had anything to do with the bottles, BUT i have used both before and i just prefer using the bottles with the drop in dispenser)... another reason i am considering not breastfeeding is because i am currently a college student and i am majoring in early childhood edu. i just finished up the summer semester and i will be taking the fall semester off (since my due date is november 23) and i will be starting back in january and i just figured that since i would be going back to school so quick that bottle feeding would work out better. alot of people think that i am going back to school to soon.. BUT in order for me to provide a good life for my child i feel as if it is imperative for me to finish up my edu. anyways, i didnt feel as if your comment was preachy.. and i hope you dont find my comment pushy lol! i look forward to hearing from you again!!!
