Hello, my name is Laura. I am pregnant for the first time after TTC for 10 months! My husband, Axel and I are sooo excited! I'm American and he's french and we live in Western France. I came here in 2002 to work, met Axel and am still here! We got married in Aug. 2007 and are so excited to start a family of our own.

Due in February

Dec. 1- I can't believe it's December already. I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable in my pregnancy, mostly in the evenings and at night. My back is starting to really ache. But I've been going to the swimming pool and that seems to help, it feels good to be weightless. It's getting exciting to be so close to the end. We're starting to get his room ready, we have the bed and the changing table is ordered, we just have to get a dresser now. Only two more months, it's been flying by already!!

Sept. 28- Things are going pretty well here. I'm so happy to not be sick anymore!! I think we've decided on the name Jonah for our little baby. The time has really been flying by, I can't believe I'm already at 5 months. My belly is starting to pop out a little bit, for the first time this week I wore my maternity jeans. I can still wear my old jeans but they're uncomfortable now. We bought the crib, though for now it's in our room because we haven't finished the baby's room yet. We're still trying to decide what color to paint it. When I'm in bed laying down reading or something at night, I feel him move just a little bit, really low down in my stomach, but during the day I don't feel anything. That's about it :)

Sept. 2- We had a Dr's appt. today and we learned that.... it's a boy!! It's so nice knowing, it makes it seem so much more real. And everything else looked really good too, he was moving his little legs around. I still haven't really started to feel him move, every once in awhile I feel something, but not much yet. My Dr. said I'll start feeling him more and more. I can't wait. And other good news is that my morning sickness is just about over. I still get nausia from time to time, but nothing like before.

Aug. 26- We just got back from a week in sunny Spain on vacation. We had a really great time, but it's good to be home again too. I still haven't really felt the baby move yet, not any definate movements yet. I think I feel something every once in a while but it happens so quick I'm not sure. I'm in week 17 now and my dr. said it would be around week 19, so I figure it'll be soon.

Aug. 13- My husband and I had our first wedding anniversary on Monday!! Yea!! So he got me a gorgeous bouquet of roses and we went out to dinner. It was nice. It's funny how much can change in a year. We've had lots of changes (I'm pregnant!, we moved, he changed jobs etc) So now that I'm in my 2nd trimester the morning sickness is supposed to subside. But mine hasn't. I still throw up daily, and there are a lot of smells and foods that still make my stomach turn. And I used to love my morning cup of coffee but I haven't had one since about week 6! Just the thought of it makes me gag. I just can't wait to get my energy back, my house really needs cleaned from top to bottom!! Oh well. I'm still not really showing, I just look chubby around the waist and I swear my hips are already getting wide!! Can't wait to feel the first movements!! Our next appt. is Sept. 1, the Dr. said she might be able to tell the sex, otherwise she said for sure at my Oct. 1 appt. we'll know, I can't wait to find out!!!

Thanks for the support! However, af arrived today. One day early and now I am so confused. You would think since I have had two children this might get a little easier. With my first it was very frustrating and took almost a year. With my second I did not have time to get discouraged bc it only took 3 months. Now this will be our 6 months into trying this time and I am once again getting frustrated. Now because my cycles are varying start dates. Oh well, so many women are in the same spot as us so it helps to be here to vent, pray, support and congratulate with! Best wishes to you and keep me posted!

Well, the morning sickness is actually evening sickness for me. It comes and goes, thanks for asking. Good luck and pounds of baby dust to you!!

I am dying to try again but know I have to wait as it could be dangerous and very risky to not wait the adequate time!! I spoke to my specialist and asked when the soonest and safest time we could trying again and he said if my hcg goes to zero by the end of the month and stays there till July then we could try again. Although some dr's say wait a year. I deffinately dont want to go through this again and will wait as long as it takes but I will never stop having kids. I am taking my bbt now and find it is the best thing ever. I paid $16 for my thermometer and wish I started it 5 years ago when I started trying for kids. I could have had another 2 by now rather than going a year without luck. I recommend it to everyone trying for a baby. It tells you exactly when you ovulate, you see it on the paper and if you didnt bd around O time then it lessens the stress of the 2ww because you clearly see you had no chance. If you do become pregnant you sometimes get to even see the implantaion dip a week later and your temps rise higher every day. I would think OPK strips are far more work and $$. I also like it because you can tell if your going to start you period or not rather than running to the washroom 10 times a day to check because if your temp is still way up there then your not going to start but if you temp has slowly started to decline the closer to your period then you can expect to see your af. The day it goes below your 'coverline' then you know for sure thats the day you are going to start your af. Have you read much into it or just prefer the strips?

that is good you r bding that much so you won't miss your egg drop......
i think i just got so excited then i would be so down when a/f came..so know i made myself chill out and it is much easier now...it was ALL i thought about and now i feel like i have other interests and things...so that is good....i still want it so don't worry....i am trying to trick the sperm and egg...make them think i don't want to be pregnant......lol

carly79 - Tuesday, 19 Feb

carly79 - Tuesday, 19 Feb
i just checked and the last 3 cycles i started on day 29..but the one before that was day 31....so i just have to wait i guess...

Halloween*Bean - Monday, 18 Feb
OK, so I told my Mom today. I was going to wait, but I figured that no matter what happens (sticky dust, sticky dust, sticky dust) a Mom should know when her daughter is pg! We were just talking normal and then I asked her 'So, what are you guys doing for Halloween?' She was so confused and kept asking, 'Halloween? Well....what...Halloween?' Then I said, 'Because we're having a baby on Halloween!!' Yay!!

Halloween*Bean - Monday, 18 Feb
Sending some good energy your way girl! It's weird because I didn't know if my symptoms were because of the running or possible pg. But I had a lower backache (I was CRABBY), sore bb's, and nausea. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning (Tuesday), keep your fingers crossed that it's in the right place. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that your BFP is just a few days away!!!!! I get so excited for everyone when the testing day gets closer. :)

sweetbee1 - Monday, 18 Feb
hehe you are so witty :) I love your little comments like... a bd a day keeps af away, or last month, how you said AF came and she wasn't invited lol anyways... good luck!!!!

carly79 - Monday, 18 Feb
okay it was negative with an ept test....
no sign of a/f yet though..
you r right though i get real excited for everyone too.....we r in it together i guess....

lolabean08 - Monday, 18 Feb
i love your saying...you should coin that!!!

carly79 - Monday, 18 Feb
okay i am testing in the morning now...lol

**MOLAR**SURVIVOR!! - Monday, 18 Feb
Have you ever tried tracking your Basal Body Temperature to help pin point when you ovulate. Worked for me the two months I tried it. Got preggo but miscarried both.

carly79 - Monday, 18 Feb
i'm a little antsy but not too bad.....
so far all i have is the brown discharge when you wipe....
i did that last time i was pregnant too so that doesn't mean anything i guess...
tomorrow is the day she should come....i don't plan on testing in the morning but we will see....haha

Halloween*Bean - Sunday, 17 Feb
Thank you!! I can just feel that this is going to be your BFP month, too!

I'm not going to be nervous - just going to keep positive energy all around. I'll start with blood tests tomorrow and then an ultrasound at 5 weeks - per my doctor. I'm glad they're going to keep a close eye on me - I'll let THEM do the worrying and let my DH and I enjoy. :)

Halloween*Bean - Sunday, 17 Feb
BFP! Yay!!!! I haven't heard from you for a few days/ I hope things are good. We're super excited but it won't seem real until the u/s, you know? Just want to make sure it's in the right place. But YAY, a BFP a day before AF!!

carly79 - Sunday, 17 Feb
i totally agree....i hope i can wait a couple days after monday..but who knows...lol
i know i'm not testing tomorrow..i never believe the neg test until a/f shows anyway.....epts r pricey...

sweetbee1 - Saturday, 16 Feb
hey!!! Thanks for your comments! I still am kinda in disbelief. I can't believe it took till i was 11 days past due! CRAZY! I hope this next month is your month!! :)

Halloween*Bean - Friday, 15 Feb
Hey there! How is everything going? Are you keeping busy BD'ing?? AF is due on Sunday and so far my hpt's have all been negative. I took a digital test today, and it said not pregnant. I took it apart to see how it worked and I clearly saw a second blue line. I'm not going to read into it.

I'm also trying not to over analyze some of the symptoms I'm having - some odd signs I knew I was pg last time. It's funny how AF and PG can feel so much alike.

So 5 days away from ovulating? Are you using the test strips?
Good luck! I hope this is the month for you!!!!!

off to work i go...
xoxo
