Hello, my name is Laura. My husband, Axel, and I have been TTC since August after we got married. I'm American and he's French and we live in Western France. I majored in French in college and came over here in 2002 after graduation to work in a french high school for a year or two to teach english, and learn french. And then at the beginning of my second year here I met Axel, and that's why I'm still here! It was only supposed to be a year or two and now it's been over 5! We're happy though, and now we're ready to start a little family!!

Monday April 28- Back to Reality, AF is here!! On CD 34, how awful is that!? Last month my cycle was 26 days and this cycle it's 34, what? Oh well, back to the drawing board :)

Sunday May 4- I have an appt. on Tues. with a gyno. To try and figure out why AF is sooooo inconsistent. We'll see....

Fri. May 9th- I've started charting my bbt, this is what my gyno says I should do for 3 months so she can see if I'm ovulating correctly. I probably should have started doing this sooner! On another good note, I got a very faint positive on a opk this afternoon! I hope it gets darker tomorrow! (I'm on CD12)

Fri. May 16- I'm happy because I've been charting on fertility friend (great website) and it's finally showing that I've o'ed. On day 15. I was worried because my temp. didn't seem to be going up, but it finally has started to. Day 15 was last Monday. So today I'm CD20, AF should come on day 29 if I O'ed last Monday. My bbs aren't sore but my nipples are, has anyone ever had this? I'm really not too excited though because this has already happened to me one month and I obviously wasn't pg!!

yes i guess that is true...i just remember going crazy in both parts...lol. yes i decided to put up the counter becasue i had the dream for the 3rd time and this time my late grandma(who i was veryvery close to) and there was a pic of jesus holding a baby...and my grandma told me to stop fighting it and she pointed to the pic of jesus and said we have got it under control and we are watching over you...and if god wanted to get my attention he did by sending my gram...she was about the only person i ever listened to...and she passed in jan 07 and i havent had a dream with her in it...until the other night...but the great thing is i feel everything will be ok...so i am counting down to that day and if i pass it then good...but i believe that god will be watching over me and baby jacobi and i should be prepared so i will have my bag packed!!!!

Hahaha....your comment made me laugh so hard!! Could you imagine how many pregnant women there would be if that were the case???! When I told my husband I hadn't ovulated yet, he told me I was mistaken ....and that he could 'just tell that I already had'. Well then dear, tell that to my BBTs and my OPKs....because they don't agree with you :) Men. So on a completely unrelated note, what's it like living in France???

yes, there is a certain type of thermometer called the basal thermometer. It is what I used to track my temp.

Hey you! Glad you got my messages! So, didn't you ovulate really late last month? Maybe that's why those annoying opk strips aren't working as well as they did for you last month. Oh darn, you'll have to BD more!

I had my second blood draw this morning. I'll find out my levels tomorrow. Just knowing they are higher than what they were last time will make me feel a lot better. I guess the most important thing is I haven't had any bleeding. I am so very thankful and hope this peanut sticks!! Stick peanut, stick!!

I'm starting to get excited - I think I'm letting go of fear and just trying to enjoy it. I heard this old lady telling a new mom something neat the other day. She said, 'You only have your first pregnancy once - and you only have your first baby once. Enjoy them.' I thought, 'hey, yeah. I want to ENJOY this.' It also helps NOT seeing any blood on the TP when I go to the bathroom.... :) Time for bed! This is your cycle - I just feel it. When will your due date be???????

Phantom preggo symptoms... isn't that the truth! I haven't even O'd yet (still waiting & it's CD17!!) and my husband is telling me I'm preggo! What a dork. :) He attributes any moodiness and being tired to me being pg. As for the BBT thermometer, you can use a normal fever one, but the BBT ones seem to be more sensitive/accurate. It depends on how big a temp shift you experience....if your temp changes by .5, then a reg digital would clearly show it, but if your shift is more subtle, you wouldn't necessarily see it. Did that make sense? Anyways...you would have to just try it and see, but you may just want to buy a BBT thermometer. (You can buy them online for really cheap, or for a little bit more you can get them at a pharmacy... I think they are about $20.) What brand of OPKs are you using? I've tried a million of them, and the one I've decided that I like best is the Answer midstream....it show pretty clear results. (I do not recommend clearblue.... they get all funky in a matter of minutes making it *look* positive, when in fact it's negative!) Anyhow.. sorry for the novel!! Good luck!!

**MOLAR**SURVIVOR!! - Thursday, 21 Feb
Yeah you need a special BBT thermometer because they are very sensitive and test in the 100th rather than to the 10th degree like normal fever ones. I bought mine at Superstore grocery store but you can get then at the pharmacy or walmart. Mine was $16.80 I prefer the ones that read 97.65 rather than just 97.6 Give it a try if no luck this month. Just make sure to test the same time every morning. Set an alarm if you need to. I take mine when my hubby goes to work at 5:30am You need 3 hours restful sleep before taking your temp to get an accurate reading. I most likely get my 3 hours sleep in a row by that time of the night. If you have any questions, just ask. Here is a web site I used that really helped me figure out how the charts worked. www.ovusoft.com Goodluck, I think you will be more satisfied taking your temps rather than strips that no one ever really seems to get a clear answer from.

dreaming of baby dust

carly79 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
today is day 31.... ;)
i will test again tomorrow.......
unless a/f shows today first...when i went to the bathroom this morning there was a tiny bit of old dried blood....no red....so i don't know if that means she is coming or my body is getting rid of all the old blood...i can't remember if it did that last time i was pregnant? i feel a tiny bit crampy too...but more aware kinda....so who knows.....lol
i will keep you updated though...
how r you doing?

melindamae - Wednesday, 20 Feb
I am as confused as ever at this point! At 10 days post AF due, she finally came, along with (for me) very bad cramps and back pain. I am even more confused about this as I have NEVER been more than 1 day off on AF starting. Now I don't know when I will ovulate or if something's wrong, like this was possibly another pregnancy and now I'm m/c with a crampy heavy period, I just don't know, and I hate it. I am very emotional and don't know what to think, I never had any pre-AF cm and have been an emotional wreck. It's almost as if this is a super period, every thing is amplified, my cramps, emotions, hunger, etc. My nipples aren't really sore now and my breasts aren't as heavy. I guess I'm back to ttc, month 5. It seems so crazy that we got pregnant the very first try and m/c and now........................

minnie*me - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Well, no signs of O'ing this morning....hopefully tomorrow!! I hate O'ing late in my cycle.. it drives me crazy, and it throws off the dates when I finally do get a BFP! Good luck to you! Looking forward to the 2ww!

Halloween*Bean - Wednesday, 20 Feb
how are you???

lolabean08 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
appt update is up!!! how are you!!!

meganh - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Thanks for the support! However, af arrived today. One day early and now I am so confused. You would think since I have had two children this might get a little easier. With my first it was very frustrating and took almost a year. With my second I did not have time to get discouraged bc it only took 3 months. Now this will be our 6 months into trying this time and I am once again getting frustrated. Now because my cycles are varying start dates. Oh well, so many women are in the same spot as us so it helps to be here to vent, pray, support and congratulate with! Best wishes to you and keep me posted!
