Hello!!

I am pregnant with my first baby. My hubby and I have been together 15 years. We started trying to coneive earlier this year...We thought it took forever, but I am now learning that 5 months is quick! I am currently 11 weeks pregnant. We have had several Ultrasounds...I am learning that my Doctor loves to give them. (AWESOME). We just had one yesterday and the baby was very active, my doctor said I should be able to feel him/her soon. She set up another ultrasound next week so we can hear the heartbeat...we can see it and it is fast and beautiful...Now we just want to hear it!!! It will be the best Birthday present ever...to hear my babys heartbeat!! I turn 30 next week!!! OMG!

I can not wait to meet this lil one; we have waited a long time for this!!!

Let's see... I am now 16 weeks preggo...And really starting to show. Actually I don't think I can hide it. It is very exciting and scary at the same time.
I was on bed rest for 2 weeks due to a low lying placenta. That has now fixed itself. This coming Monday I have my AFP test. I am bit nervous for that...and very anxious to get the test results back.
At my 15 week scan my Perinatal Specialist noted an Echongenic Bowel with the baby. This is most likely caused by my bleeding from the low-lying placenta. (The baby swallows the blood and it show brigt on the scan)...It is also a marker for Downs. So, my hubby and I are obviously nervous.
I am feeling very good. I get tired if I over do it, and I have terrible heartburn.
I will follow up back up soon!!

*Sigh* I got the call from the Dr's office that I have been waiting for all week. My AFP test has come back NEGATIVE for Downs or Spinal Bifida. I cried as soon as I heard the goods news. The marker for the echogenic bowel really had me so scared...
I am 17 weeks today!!

Well today I am 18 weeks. I have felt a few flutters at night, and I thought I felt a thud the other night when I woke up to go potty----been doing that at least twice a night!
I have been feeling good...and of course still get tired pretty quickly. I a little nervous about weight gain, my Dr was not happy about me putting on 8lbs so far...ugh...but I am trying to be more active. I am sure being on bed rest for 2 weeks didnt help my metabloism.
We have another Dr appt on the 6th with the perinatal specialist and than an OBGYN appt on the 10th. Can't wait to see our little girl again!!!

Yes!! I have been on bed rest for 8 weeks...I am sore and achy!! But love it!!

I had some strecth marks before being preggo...but I think I just found a few new ones below my belly button...not too bad.

Tough. I have been on bed rest 8 weeks straight and a total of 11 weeks. I have 7 more weeks of bed rest to go...and than we will see!! I have had a pesky cervix and placenta previa.

WHAT WAY IS THE BABY LAYING AT THE MIN??? TRANSVERSE, BREECH OR HEAD DOWN?
Breech...per Dr's appt yesterday.

LASTLY....... WAS THIS PREGNANCY PLANNED?

We tried and tried for 5 months. PLANNED!!

Update time!! Last week I went to Perinatal Specialist and was told that my cervix was short and that I measured 3.1 (The norm is 3.5).

This Tuesday the 11th I went to see OBGYN and she said that as long as I was above 3.0 she was not concerned. However she wanted me to start moving around more and getting more excerise...I have gained abput 20 lbs. eeek

Today the 12th, I had a follow up with Perinatal specialist for my cervix. My measurements today came back at 2.8; which is well below the 'Norm'. I am not on bed rest until next Thursday the 20th. If my cervix gets longer at least above 3.0 i will still need to stay on bed rest but willmost likely not need surgury. Today they had me hooked up to test for contractions and I did not have any. So Dr was very happy!!

I brought my mom with me to see baby at Perintatal office, and I am so glad I did. She was great, and asked a lot of questions that I didn't even knwo to ask...that is what moms are for. (My mom had many pregnancy issues as well)

We got a sneak peak with a 3D U/S...Got to see my little ones face!! very cute!! She still had her little legs crossed at her ankles and kept putting her hand sin her face. I think my mom was in shock...as they didn't have these things when she was preggie with me!

I will follow up again soom!! Wish me luck my Cervix gets longer!! GO CERVIX!! (never thought I would say that LOL)

Today is Christmas Eve...Still on bed rest due to my short cervix. It has gone from 2.7 to 3.4...Dr. is keeping me on house arrest until the 4th, than he will re-measure again. Hopefully my pesky cervix will lengthen permantaly. I really want to start getting up and around. I have put on about 22lbs...EEKK I am not as worried about the extra weight, more the fact that I have not been active for most of this pregnancy...I don `t want to be too winded during labor!! I have been feeling Sweet Pea a lot lately. I get nervous when I don `t feel her.Had a cold this past week...now the darn cold is in my chest...So, I ave a wicked cough and my throat is getting sore again!!Well, I have been laying low for awhile, now I am going to get up for about an hour and make more cookies!!MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!

Today is my 24 Week Doctors apt (HAHA Not that I do not see another Dr allmost every week). But today is my OBGYN Appt...I am a little nervous as today I am suppposed to do my Glucose Tolerance Test...and of course get weighed!! Gettiing weighed actually freaks me out more, as being on bed rest for the last4 weeks...doesn `t make it easy to stay fit!! Wish me luck....

25 Weeks TODAY!!I took my glucose test on Monday...and I passed with flying colors. I also got a negative for my pre-term test!! I spoke in length with my Dr about Strep B, and how I WANT and NEED antibiotics regardless of how I test at delivery...This is just a preccaustion!!!! I have a good friend of mine that her 7 week old daughter is in NICU with Menegitis due to strep B...and my friend tested negative a week before delivery!!My cervix is down to 2.48 the lowest it has been!! Dr has me on STRICT bed rest...I go bcak on the 17th for another follow up...Baby is doing great..and kicking and moving around like crazy!! She is going to be such a handful!! LOVE HER SO MUCH

Okay well tomorrow I will be 26 weeks... Time flies when you are having fun!! Or lay around staring at your walls (Love bed rest...NOT) LOLOkay, so I went to Perinatal Dr today and cervix has lengthen to 2.6 from 2.4...So, not great but getting better!!Hubby went with me and got to see Sweet Pea...she was very active. The tech tried to see if she was `Practicing breathing ` but we didn `t catch her in the act if she did....I guess they start at this point. In a few weeks she should be doing it all the time.Dr still have me on bed rest. He wants me to hold off until 8 weeks...like I really have control LOL... He told me at least 8 more weeks on bed rest...I told him no problem...She is the boss...I already made it 6 weeks straight what is another 8 LOL!!!I go back next wednesday for a follow up and a fetal fibretin test!! JOY JOY

Well I went to Perinatal Dr again today. Had a Fetal Fibrecton test and checked my cervix again. I get the test results back tomorrow on the FFN test. My cervix is shorter!! I am now down to the lowest 1.9. The Dr has me on Terbutaline to slow/stop contractions that are thinning out my cervix. This medicine is makingme very jumpy and shaky. I have had such an issue with sleeping...I am afraid this will seriously hinder that more. I have to take one 2.5mg tablet every 8 hours!! Dr has assured me that baby will be fine! Poor little sweet pea. She is getting big. They didn `t tell me her weight today, but told me I should find out at next weeks scan (27 weeks). We did catch her `Practicing ` her breathing today. So cute! She was again going crazy on the monitor and does not care for being constricted by the bands!!My baby shower invitations went out today!! I am just hoping no labor before shower on 3/1/08. i can not wait to see what the girls have planned.I also recieved an email that my Changing table will be here Monday!! whoo hoo... Floors are going to be installed this Saturday...than we (Hubby) can start decorating!!!My friend had be baby on Sunday!! She just sent me pictures...so beautiful!!

Got my test results back for the Fetal Fibrecton test... NEGATIVE!! WHOO HOOOGetting super excited about the nursery! The crib and changer should be here on Monday (If BRU didn `t screw it up) and the floors get put in on Saturday!! Okay...off I go back to bed to bake baby!!

I am really freaked out today. My mom had to re-take her mammogram scan today, and it came back that she does have a nodule. They are having her go in next Wednesday for a biopsy. i am just so scared for her.Please add her to your prayers!!

Daddy finsihed the Changing Table/Dresser today!! Check out the knobs...so much better than the wood knobs it came with...don't ya think!! Now it is onto decorating....hmmm on bed rest (no easy task I am sure)

At my Doctors appt on the 28th my cervix was up to 2.2...so some improvement since I have been on the terbutaline. I am begining to get the worst case of heartburn. I am so miserable. I have tried....tums, aloe, baking soda and Zantac. I just can not get any relief...Actually the only thing that does help are milkshakes...but I seriously can not eat them everyday!!!Going to see OBGYN on MOnday for 28 week check up and to discuss Rh Shot...than going to Perintatal Dr on Tuesday to remeasure cervix!!!

Well, went to OBGYN on Monday and all is good. She is having me take another Glucose test on the 19th...I guess this is due to my weight gain... 9lbs this month!! OMG!! I passed the other one...so I hope all goes will with this one.I went to Perinatal Dr today to have my crvix re-measured. Still 2.2, but as long as it doesn `t get any shorter...I am a happy girl! I am still on bed rest... 6 more weeks until Dr re-evaluates my bed rest status. I hope to be able to be more active...I am so weak!!My heartburn has been out of control, but since I upped my dose of Xantac yesterday i am feeling so much better!!!Baby Shower is 3 more weeks away!! Oh and we haave scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound this coming Saturday!! Can `t wait...bring the whole family!!!!!!!!

I am 29 Weeks today (2days before 30)Went this past weekend for a 3D/4D ultrasound. So awesome. Too bad sweet pea was putting her hands and feet in her face...this was distorting the picture. It was justreally awesome letting my parents and hubby `s parents...and my sis(that drove all the way down 3 hours) to see it!!I went to my Perinatal Dr today. He did another Fetal Fibrectin Test...NEGATIVE!! So, I will be labor free for at least another 2 weeks.As for cervox...down to 1.5!! So, he is keeping me on my Terbutaline and extending my bed rest to 37 weeks. So, 8 more weeks of BED REST!!I can `t complain...she is healthy and doing great. So, I am all about keeping her that way!!!

Well, I am 30 weeks! Went to OBGYN yesterday and took my 2nd glucose test...still waiting to hear test results. I did however learn that my ketones were high and that I need to eat more (I can `t win) I only gained 1 pound so Dr was happy about that...(Again...can `t win)I went to Perintatl Dr today and my cervix has measured 1.7; a little better than last week. They also did the baby measurements and she is 3.6 pounds!! Getting so big! I was told that after 34 weeks I can attend birthing classes!! Whooo hooo

Well I am 33 Weeks!! whoo hoo...It has been a very long road thus far.I went to OB and PN this week, took a few tests. I had to have a liver enzyme/liver function test due to a rash that decided to overcome my body (Itchy and insane, I am thinking it is PUPP....which is hormone induced and no cure!! Nothing like bed rest and itching LOL) I also had another FFN test that came back negative...so that gives me a nice 2 week window for no labor...I think that is the last FFN test I will get, as I read no more after 34 weeks.I am still going to be on bed rest until week 37 APRIL 4!!!!!!! Hmmm...that sounds like a nice birthday 4-4-08!!, maybe she will come than? plus my sis will be in town!!I had my baby shower this past Saturday. Our family abnd friends out did themselves. We seriously have nothing to buy, and if we do I think all the Gift certificates will cover it!!I hope to go shopping after my bed rest, hopefully she will stay put so that I can get the final touches together.I am going to start washing all of her new clothes this week...and pack the hospital bag!! I can `t believe the time is getting near!! WHOO HOOOO

Okay, so cervix is down to 0.7!!!!! Dr is not freaking out, but says stay lay down and no activity!The bigger the baby gets the shorter the cervix....So, I am just going to roll with the punches....Dr said my cervix could hold me till 39 weeks, but most likely at 37 weeks when he takes me off Terbutaline, it will only be a short matter of time before she is here!!! I am super excited about that!! But not excited about LESS activity...Oh well really only 3 more weeks.

Holy Heartburn!!I am having a very hard time sleeping due to this heartburn issue. I learned quickly that Chocolate is a big no no...but I am still weeding through the rest of the food groups...Even water is a nightmare, and if I don `t drink enough...than on come the contractions!!Complaints - LOL: Heartburn, Numb and tingly arms, hands and fingers, trigger finger, back pain and exhaustion, baby getting stuck under my ribs, peeing constantly, constipation!! and...BED REST!!On to the wonderful things: Little Sweet Pea is so active and such a character...I can just tell. I can `t wait to meet her. She is growing perfectly and I couldn `t ask for anything more. I love feeling her swish and move around...I love laying with my hubby chatting about what we thing she will look like and who `s traits she will take...and just the excietment of having her and all the new experiences we will get to have because of her!Hubby for the past few weeks has been stressed about baby...now he is begging me to get off bed rest and have her already...First I though that it might be becsue he is over handling all the house hold duties, but now I I realize that he truely just wants to meet his little girl!! I see him in the nursery all the time re-folding things, wiping down furniture and admiring his little girls room.Can `t wait to meet you Emma!!We are going to the Drs this coming Wednesday for cervix check...But on April 1st we go to both OB and Perinatal Dr. At Perinatal Dr the baby wil be measured and we will learn her weight and hopefully pardon me from bed rest...and at OB I am hoping to discuss birthing options and perhaps...shall I say it INDUCTION? LOL

With Tanner usually when he would go out I went too since I didn't have a sleeping child at home. He changed jobs and everyone at Ashley's is single w/out kids. So for them to plan something at the last min is totally normal. But it means that I get the shaft because they alway go out on a school night and its always last min. It makes it impossible to get a sitter. Anyway pray he makes it home without wrecking or getting arrested.
I actually did have the leaking boobs only at night. I would wake up all wet when I got up to go to the bathroom. At first I thought it was sweat or something but then I realized I was just leaking. I was so excited because I never leaked with Tanner and i got really engorged after I had him. I was hoping it was a good sign. My boobs were the size of cantalopes and hurt so bad. I tried everything, warm showers, massage, my breast pump. A lactation consultant told me to fill two tupperware containers with warm water and then lean myself into them. Can you picture that, yes I tried it and it didn't work. I was so miserable and freaking out really bad because I thought I wouldn't be able to breastfeed. I had to wait a couple of days till they went down but then I ended up breast feeding until he was 14 or 15 months. Anyway mine have stopped now but I'm still optimistic that it was a good thing that they leaked.

Damn it I typed you a note and in the middle of it I got sent back to my page and I can't find the note anywhere. Okay well at least I get to vent again.

Hubby called tonight at 10:15 PM to tell me that he was not coming home but that he is going to a bar to hang out. Hey great, I'm thrilled! I'm so pissed right now I'm on the verge of tears. Geez, are my hormones out of control. I'm glad I hadn't started dinner yet guess I'll go put everything away. I hate the people my hubby works with. Its so annoying because they are mostly all single and don't have any kids. They get to be spontanous (SP?) while I'm stuck here at home. He is tring to live in their world and I always get the shaft. okay now I'm crying. Damnit! Okay get a grip.

Anyway we didn't go hang out with his exgirlfriends family on easter, thank god! He didn't mention it and I didn't remind him. We went to church, then my parents and then his mom's before finally getting to come back home. It actually snowed here and the flakes were softball sized. Biggest flakes I have ever seen.

I'm glad your FIL is sticking up for you guys. It'll be good to have him help you manage her.

Well sorry about the vent up above, I just don't feel very important to him and it hurts. Treasure your hubby he sounds like a sweetie.

God I am so hormonal! Sorry.

yeah I live in the heart of hell! :) ok well not quite. Snow, Cold, and WIND! I crave the sun. My hubby is actually from Cali and he misses the sun like crazy so I'm sure we'll head towards the sun someday.

I know that the mucus plug isn't the predictor of labor most people believe it to be, but with my son it was only three days before he came. :( I don't even know what I'm worried about, I'm just a ball of nerves.

My next appt is tomorrow, I get to have the lovely step b test. I'm not sure if he'll do an internal now if I tell him I lost the mp. He isn't suppose to until 38 weeks. Who knows?!?!?! I want to know if I'm dialating or thinning but then it makes it all to real.

After I'm done playing on here though I'm headed to my room to finish packing my bag. ;) just incase. I may not be ready but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna be 'ready'

100k ouch! So now I don't feel so bad, we're down about 40k...i'm really thinking that the market will go back up with the summer but I'm not holding my breath. I'm pretty jealous when I read about you sitting by your pool! I'll be sitting by a snow drift. :(

Paige says thank you! I was so happy, they had to change her feeding tube yesterday and so they took it out for us before we did 'dress-up.' All her Easter photos show off her naked, tubeless face! :o)

I will probably go 40 weeks too. I am thinking she will never get here. I want her to stay in as long as she needs to but I really want to hold her now. LOL I have a dr. appointment tomorrow so I will see if anything has changed. Fingers crossed that everything is ok. Some people are dialated already and here I have been on rest and I have nothing. They will probably have their baby before me. LOL Oh well.

On another note, my baby shower went well. I still felt slightly weird but overall everyone was happy to be there so that helped. I got some nice things and some things that I really needed like diapers. The only problem was I was very uncomfortable and contracted every five minutes the whole time. I think I overdid it.

I hope you had a great Easter and here's hoping our little girls come in a couple of weeks. LOL

I'm doing good! How are you? Nursery is about the same as the last time we talked...non existant. hehe Its coming along really well actually. Looks like we should be in the room by April 5th. BUT, Im not holding my breath quite yet...but I am much more pleased just because I have a tenitive date now! hehe So how are you feeling? How was your weekend? Not too much longer and you will be able to get up!! YAY!! Hows your little one? Is she moving alot? I have been feeling ALOT of movement this past week...LOVE IT!! hii! how was ur weekend? uneventful? watched any movies? chatted w/mil? :) mine was ok, did not work at all, was bliss, went for 2 plays, and lunch dinner was at friends' places, they want to feed me so I dont hv to cook, so sweet, makes up for lack of family at times!! now am back to work :(, expecting some friends from portland tonight, so am looking fwd to that. All of a sudden I dont want to be done w/this pregnancy, dont know what the matter is! I dont even have a name for him yet :) ok back to work, will be back in a bit!

:) not even a contraction... HAPPY EASTER!!!! Party went well, hubby is one GOOOOOOD cook! Lots and lots of people all wanting to feel baby move and of course she was not feeling it!

As for work I onlt have four days of vacation and I refused to let them higher a temp to fill my desk (I'm obsesive compulsive about my things) So I think depending on the day I deliver, I'll head back the following week. (Baby in tow) I'm a little nervous about it but I'm keeping a positive outlook until something changes that.

Messy downstairs is NO joke. At least for the first couple days. With my son things were pertty normal period like after the first week. But be prepared for the first day or two.

How is your weather there? We are pretty unpredicatable here, (WY) I'm more worried that all the pretty sping outfits we've gotten will be too cool for her. But we've gotten a couple sweaters and nice blankets for her. :) Now if I could just figure out what to wear! grrrrr.

Hope your Easter was great. OH, we moved in in October, After searching for about 6months. We probably paid too much but by that time I was getting worried about moving while prego. :)

Nice bedroom setup! We just moved and are having lots of fun setting up our son's room- along with everything else! Going from a 500sq feet to 1000 is huge! Not sure if you know about crib bumpers though- they were talked about in the news ALOT last summer- kids have suffocated in them as newborns and when they start to get active and climb, they've caused accidents. Just an FYI that you might want to think about...

I am off bed rest, but still have to 'lay low' whatever that means. I don't think that Gus will be here too soon, but I get a week 38 kind of feeling. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. What's your feeling? Do you think your baby will be showing up soon? As for labor, you are going to get an amazing dose of energy like you wouldn't believe. I promise! There will be more adrenaline that you know what to do with. You may be extremely exhausted after, for days, and days... but during labor you are going to be very, very surprised at how much strength and stamina you can muster.

I've got sweats packed but none of my shirts are really nursing shirts and the ones that are UGGGG don't match. :( hubby would definetly frown on me buying another thing. hee hee

Easter plans??? What have you got going on? We are throwing a great big celebration...we just bought this house, got married and are having a baby. SOOOOO to say the least this is the first time alot of people will see our new house, and see me pregnant (I'm not fond of that, but OH WELL) I'm pretty excited!!!! I've been slowly cleaning and trying to get ready. Hubby is cooking prime rib on the BBQ and I'm going all out by wrapping potatoes to throw on the grill. (pregnancy is bliss) I'm a little worried how all these people are going to fit in my house, and once they are WHAT A MESS THEY WILL MAKE!!!!

I've been joking that I'm going to go into labor about the time people are suppose to show up...maybe I should stop joking.

Contractions suck and the worst part is they are going to get worse. Grrr Mine aren't getting any closer together which is good. But the pain in my nether region is becoming unbearable. I hope this isn't my cervix... I go to my dr. on Tuesday so I will know more then. Yay to 2 more weeks. We can then lead a somewhat normal pregnancy. LOL

The whole baby dropping thing is weird. Once you're pregnant with your third... they don't drop anymore, they are just down the whole time. With my first I didn't drop until the very, very end and I couldn't even tell I'd dropped. With my second he was already pretty low and seemed to drop a tad around week 38. This baby has been in my pelvis since day one and I can really tell that now. My back hurts less, I get less heartburn, but that sciatic nerve pain is unbelievable, the pressure on my pelvis is intense and my vagina is SO swollen it's almost the eighth wonder of the world! Hopefully you'll drop enough to get some rib relief. How are you otherwise?

They only let me go 6 days over but it was pure torture. I think its cause it was right at Christmas (I was induced Dec 26th) Otherwise I guess she would have done it sooner.

I don't have any huge plans this weekend, I need to go to the grocery and do laundry. Hubby will be working tom and then he has to help his cousin move. Sunday is Easter and so church in the morn followed by lunch at my mom's. And then what I'm looking forwrd to the most, hubby wants to go visit one of his ex-girlfriends families. Great I'm 40 lbs heavier and achy! Just what I want to do is go hang out with a bunch of people I don't know who I'm sure will be comparing me to the still skinny & childless ex. I'm so dreading that. I think I'm going to have to start talking to my exboyfriends and then we can all go on family events together. I mean seriously I don't think he ever thinks, hmmm if I were Lori would I really be comfortable or want to do this? I may just have to go into labor Sat night or Sun morning to avoid the whole thing!

How exciting you got a date to end your bedrest. There is a light at the end of your tunnel too. Congrats!

How is your MIL doing I'm sort of watching the movie monster in law and I thought of you when it came on.

AW....don't feel bad...look at all the ladies on here complaining and they haven't been through half as much as you have! Its completely normal to want to NOT lay around all day.
I know this is going to sound strange but you know what...do what your body tells you to. If you want to get up and move around, SIT on the sofa...then you do it! Your baby will be just fine if you have her tonight! It is so hard being a parent and knowing what to do and when to do it! You need to be happy too or your baby won't be a happy baby.

Don't go running marathons just get up an walk around the house. Sit on the sofa with your feet up. Walk around in the babies room...look at all her pretty clothes.

You'll be ok! And when she does come you won't be all stiff and sore from laying down all day.

I have a feeling my little one is wanting to make the great escape too, and honestly I will do NOTHING to prevent it. Nature has its own way of taking care of things. I swore to my DR that I would NOT be put on bedrest (not that its not worth it) but mentally it is exhausting and I couldn't handle it.

Your not alone!!!! Your gonna be a great mamma!

oh u poor thing, I knowwwwww I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you! :( 17 wks is such a long time! once emmas here, I think ull pbably refuse to lie down even at night! :) I could do w/some rest, oh plss just an afternoon nap!! ive been feeling these funny twinges down there every time I walk, it used to happen when I climbed stairs, but now it stops me in my tracks and I feel like shouting 'Ouch!'! how does a contraction feel? would u know? :(

Oh my aching hips! I tried to be all healthy yest and went for a walk since it actually was like 50 deg here and not raining or snowing and I am so paying for it now. Last night I was hurting so bad. I went to the doc this morn. gained 3 lbs in a week. Yeah great, guess I should walk more often, either that or lay off the girl scout cookies and jelly beans! Doc said she wanted to induce me April 22, OH MY there is an end in sight! I don't know why I'm so excited I guess because I was afraid I'd go over again like last time and now I have a def date. Who hoo. She said everything looked great and there was no reason to make me suffer any longer than I needed. Wow she's my hero right now! How are you, hopefully you still have a tiny bit of cervix left.

Paige is doing slightly better each day on her bottles. I am so ANXIOUS I wish the doctors could tell me a date she'll be coming home. It's like being close to your due date and waiting for labor to start (not like I'd know anything about that LOL).

How are things with you and your little girl?
