I understand where your friends are coming from. A lot of people choose to not SHOUT it to the world they are pregnant right away. I work with a girl who recently had a miscarried in May and seeing her first hand have to explain over and over again that she is not pregnant anymore just tore her apart. Understandably so. I work with children, so b/c of her story I have chosen to not tell the children or families at the gym I coach at until I complete the first trimester. However, my husband see's it completely different and thinks that I am being too pesimistic about things by not telling everyone right away (like I'm jinxing it or something). I am hopeful and positive about this pregnancy and we have told all our families and close friends. Your work life may be a different story? Bottom Line-Dont listen to anyone else!!! If you want to SHOUT it to the world...you do it!! This is such an exciting time in all of our lives and regardless if you tell everyone now or later! Everyone will be shouting from the rooftops with you once they find out too! Dont stress and use your best judgement! Make a decision that makes you happy and proud! Your true friends will understand and support you either way! Good luck with everything!!

That's ok abotu the appts- just take it easy and get lots of rest- don't even think about the dates! I went yesterday and she gave me the forms for the IPS testing during week 11 and 13- I think we may do it- I am on the fence about it- what are your thoughts on this?

Hey, sorry I'm just getting back to you. I personally did not color mine until I was in the 2nd trimester (I was actually about 18 weeks or so) I did do foils in my first trimester since color doesn't actually touch the hair. But I also have had a few people who I have colored their hair in the first trimester. When I asked the doctor about working with the chemicals at work, he told me to always use gloves to keep the chemicals of my skin, that was enough to convince me not to put it on my head (although, I am very anal about everything, I won't even drink caffeine). Also, beware that with any chemical while pregnant, it could really turn out different than expected. I've never had any mishaps, but I always tell my clients this (its because of the horomones). Congrats on your pregnancy!! Hopefully it will go by fast!!

Yeah, but mine always seems to be a little lower. It worries me sometimes...but everyone keeps telling me its normal and I will know if something is wrong?! Do you get out of breath really easily? I have always been in pretty good shape but seem to get out of breath easily lately...think thats normal?

They do the pap so check the color and texture of your cervix to make sure your pregnancy is progressing right?! Thats what my doctor told me! :)

It depends if it is ordered stat or not. My friend Julie, (Munkobaby) had hers tested every other day and had the results called to her the same day. She had her tubes reversed in March and then an ectopic PG in May, so she was considered high risk and her results were stat. I am not high risk since my baby died from chromosomal issues. It just depends on your situation. Do you know if your OB takes an US on the 1st visit? With my first son my Dr did. I have a new Dr as my other one moved away. She did not take one I think because I have to have one at 12 weeks anyway. Let me know how your appt goes Monday. I can't wait to hear about it!! xxAmyxxx

thank you! and as far as tired...? ive turned into an old lady! every day i come home for lunch now and take a quick nap, and then as soon as i get home again i get right in bed and sleep til dinner! but anyways, how are you feeling? hoping for a boy or little girl? i honestly would love either one... but oh my god may is sooooooooo farrrrrrrrrr awayyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

I have no symptoms so far. Nada...None. That is very unlike my last two pregnancies. I was afraid I had a blighted ovum or empty sack. My 1st OB visit is the 27th, but to ease my mind I asked if I could get my hcg level checked? It was 1,973 on 9/7/07. The nurse said I was right on track, so I feel a little better. I keep having to remind myself I am PG though. I don't feel it at all!! I am due on the 5th, but have long cycles, so usually am off a week on the due date. At least that is how it was with my last 2 pregnancies. I am a C-section-Whoo Hoo!!- so I will deliver a week prior to my due date. My Dr. will tell me on Sept. 27th when she will take it. Usually she schedules on Friday's, so I am guessing May 2nd. Congrat's and I see you are sick..so sorry to hear that. If it makes you feel any better I wish I had some of that. This would feel more real to me. I keep thinking something is wrong because of my lack of symptoms. When I was pregnant this last time I got sick in the truck coming home from one of my son's baseball games. I had to upchuck in a bag in the front seat and my son was freaking out in the back saying he didn't want me to die. I felt sooo bad. I was even past my first trimester and getting sicker by the day. And to top it all off, I knew that my baby was dying, so I kept thinking..... I am getting sick with no sweet baby reward at the end! Hope you get to feel better real soon and I know it is stinks that you are getting sick....just remember...it is all worth it in the end!! xxxAmyxx

I have no idea why the site it doing that...I havn't quite figured it out yet. I don't know if you will get a sonogram. I had mine done at 4 weeks...and only b/c I have had some ovarian problems in the past and they wanted to be sure that the baby had implanted in my uterus and wasn't still in my folopian tube...but everything looks great! You could always ask then if they will do one, but they will probably do it pelvicly...so you may not want it done this soon! How do you feel? Have you been sick at all? Let me know if you have a sonogram done at your appointment! :)

How are you? Glad you liked the photos of my son, he is 10 months old today. It doesn't seem long since he was born! You'll find the first half of the pregnancy goes by quite quickly. You'll be looking forward to your first scan. At 12 weeks you can see the baby clearly and its lovely to see the little heart beating! Mine was jumping around like he was on a trampoline! I've got scan at 8 weeks as i've got endometriosis and i had an early scan the last time. I'll then get one at 12 weeks. Have you got your appointment to see your doctor yet? What are your symptoms so far? I'm tired alot and have a little bit of morning sickness but generally i'm fine. Hope you have a good day. Bye for now Kerry

No, haven't had my first appt. yet. I have it on the 24th of this month. Yes, I am tired ALL the time it seems like. The last two weekends, I think I slept more than I was awake. I'm amazed at how I can come home from work, take an hour or so nap, and still fall asleep at a reasonable hour at night. I'm just lucky that we're slow at work right now. Good luck and put your feet up whenever you get a moment!
