Tuesday, 6 May Any signs of Michael yet??? I know you're ready! By the way my nipples got so bad from cracking and bleeding that I finally switched to the pump. My nipples are healing, I am in far less pain, and Hunter is also happier. I figure its still mommies milk and my hubby can feed him now too. =) I gave it a good try but my sis had the same issue with both her babies. We both have short nips so I guess a proper latch wasn't easy. A part of me feels bad but I felt gross watching hunter put those very damaged gross things in his mouth. sanmar123 -

Friday, 2 May How are you feeling?? lulu81usc -
Wednesday, 30 April Hey! Just thought I'd let you know, Hunter's appt went well today. He hasn't lost any weight since his discharge from the hospital. My milk finally came in today so I can stop worrying. Also, he has a little bit of jaundice but its not too bad and it should start going away soon. I'm crossing my fingers for you! I really want little Michael to hurry up and get here so we can be in the same boat again. =) lulu81usc -
Tuesday, 29 April Hey girl! I just tried to upload one of his pics but it wouldn't let me. I'll keep trying. =) We just came home today. Hunter has been a good little boy. My nips are soooo sore. I'm trying to get him to latch deeper but it isn't easy. This has definitely been a learning experience. I can't wait to hear your story. Then we can discuss our new mommy challenges. Right now I am pretty sore but happy at the same time. By the way, your hormones will probably go nuts after you have the baby. Last night my mom stayed in the hospital with me so that my hubby could get some good rest and I suddenly was overwhelmed at 2 in the morning and I started sobbing. Then I couldn't breathe through my nose and when I cried, my ears popped and I couldn't hear so I had to figure out how to stop crying. This afternoon when I was going over my hospital discharge the nurse asked if I have cried yet. She said its to be expected and my hormones will balance out in about two weeks. I never imagined myself feeling that way but now I get it. =) Please let me know when things start to happen for you and ask me any questions. =) first-time-mommy-to-b -
Sunday, 27 April How have you been? Havn't heard from you in a while! Let me know! :) lulu81usc -
Thursday, 24 April I know! I wish we didnt' live so far apart. I'd love a walking buddy and someone who could share the amazing experience of being a new mommy. I will be sure to fill you in on the whole experience once I get home. Please remember to take it easy and eat a piece of cake for me. I have to say time out to cereal for a while since my hubby and I are going to kiss our bad eating habits goodbye! I always talk to my hubby about my friend in canada and he can't believe how much we have in common. Too funny. I will talk to you very soon little mamma! =) x0 mar14e -
Thursday, 24 April Hi!! I know I can't believe that he is here already- make sure you get ready- I had an amazing labour- the only thing that shocked me was the contractions in my BUM once the epidural kicked in- I was shocked for those! Maybe it didn't take properly but I definitely felt him coming out :) I can't wait for you to expierence this enormous love for your child- it's a love like no other- All the best to you- (I'll be back on facebook next week) just some issues with it...;) mar14e -
Wednesday, 23 April Hi!! I had baby Nico on April 17!!!! How are you? first-time-mommy-to-b -
Wednesday, 23 April YAY you are 37 weeks! You can have Michael anytime now! Arn't you excited? Are you ready for him? I think that sleeping problem is just our body trying to get ready for being up with the new baby! Does that sound crazy? I have had trouble sleeping for a while now...but it really doesn't bother me anymore, which is weird. I get up like 5 - 6 times a night, either with indegestion or having to go to the bathroom.
Thanks for the comment about me looking okay, I feel like I have been getting FAT all over! I mean I have Kankles! haha You look great in your pictures! You said you are gaining all over...but I honestly don't see it! I think you are caring the pregnancy beautifuly, we should all be so lucky!!
I am still working to...I am right there with you, its not fun! You have it worse though b/c you are on your feet all day, I get to sit around behind a desk for most of the time. I can't wait until I have this baby though, I am getting very ansy at work..just can't concentrate! Anyway, I better get going but I will drop in and see how you are doing again soon! Let me know~ :) Almost forgot, have you been checked yet? Are you dialating or effacing at all? lulu81usc -
Wednesday, 23 April I'm glad you had such an awesome weekend. Josh and I finally got the nursery squared away so it looks great. I should take some pics but I don't know where the adapter is that connects the camera to the computer. We're going to have to figure this stuff out though seeing that we'll definitely have to post and email pics of Hunter. Oh, by the way. I thought the nutrisystem would work but when I called, the nutritionist (and I totally respect this) said that they don't advise nutrisystem for mothers breastfeeding children under 12 months. For one, there aren't enough calories (we could dry up) and second the soy protein can make the baby develop allergies. The food has a ton of soy protein in it.
When I was a senior in college, I did the South Beach diet. I did pretty well on it and it just tought me how to develop good eating habits. I think this one will be safe for breastfeeding moms. My hubby is going to do it with me of course. I'll make sure not to let my caloric intake drop too much. I know the breastfeeding will help with the weight loss but I don't want to dry up or not produce. Josh and I have been having bad food since we know it will be a while before we see pizza or ice cream again. =) Ugh...I can't wait until Friday! I am so excited to do this already. I hope you're taking it easy. Jush hang in there. Hopefully you won't be too far behind me. I'll fill you in on how things go. =) kelz.belfast -
Friday, 18 April Well I used to get that until i was lying on the hospital bed and was tellin my doctor bout this pain n she seen the way i was lifting myself off the bed and said that i was NOT alowed to do that... I have to roll on my side and get up slowly as it does sumthing to the muscles in ur tummy and squashes ur womb or sumthing.. Maybe its the way ur getn up then? lulu81usc -
Thursday, 17 April Gosh, they can't even lighten up on your work hours? No wonder you're so worn out. I know what you mean about the snacks, I think my husband has started to purchase a family size box of honey bunches of oats every two days. He has been blown away by the amount of cereal I can consume. I figure I only have a week left of eating what I want and then there is noooooooo cheating. My hubby and I are doing nutrisystem together. It's balanced and there is portion control. It's also loaded w/ fiber to make you feel full longer. I won't feel like cooking and neither will he so we figure this will get us moving in the right direction. He put on about 25 lbs during my pregnancy. He's 6'4" and I weigh almost as much as him! Oh yeah, I'm not kidding! There is a reason I haven't posted recent pics of myself. My face is a bubble. I bet Josh is scared I'll look like this forever. Just kidding. We's a sweety but I know we are going to work our butts off to get back into shape. Hunter is really wearing out his welcome. I have this weird tightening in the lower center of my back and it is NOT pleasant. My belly is soooo huge, I don't think I could have continued to work even if they let me. Every time I stand up every joint pops and it feels like my crotch is going to hit the floor. OUCH! By the way I hope he doesn't come on 4/20. I have plans for the 25th and he better not ruin them. =) My own doc will deliver me, my mom and sis and the rest of the fam are coming into town, and I'll be in the hospital over the weekend so that my hubby doesn't have to miss extra work. Ahhh, speaking of snacks...I think I'm going to help myself to a bowl of cereal. Oh yeah! first-time-mommy-to-b -
Tuesday, 15 April
Soo cute!! lulu81usc -
Tuesday, 15 April Hey! I was told by my by the lady in my lamaze class that vaginal birth is 2 days and c-section is usually 3. On the other hand, I am pretty sure that I'll be there from Thursday night to Sunday. Since they'll induce on Friday morning, if he comes like 17 hours later, I doubt they'd give me the boot on Saturday. Who knows though. My little guy could make a quick exit. I guess we'll have to see how it goes. I have a feeling Hunter will take his time. I think I'm closed up like a maximum security prison right now. I have an appt tomorrow but my doc will probably do a vaginal exam on Friday. Hopefully there will have been some type of change down there. I do hope you have Michael in April too. Everyone told me the same thing...there was no way I'd make it to May. They were actually right. However, if I wasn't induced, I wonder when he would have come. By the way, thats awesome that you have a bunch of showers. I had mine on Sunday and already wrote my thank you letters. I guess that will happen when you have as much time on your hands as I do. I was supposed to have one in my home town this weekend. My mom was going all out for it. She was having it at this nice place that was going to cater the little event. Oh, well. At least she didn't lose any money. Next time I'll know to have people plan showers a little earlier. (Next time meaning in 3 or 4 years.) first-time-mommy-to-b -
Sunday, 13 April I am glad you are doing well!! Not too much longer and you will be finished working for a while! Thats great!! YAY your crib came in! LOVE IT! You will have to post some pictures of your nursery when you are finished!!! I am doing good...found out last week that all this talk about the baby dropping and she hasn't! hehe He said "Well, she has moved lower...but she hasn't dropped" UGH! I am starting to wonder if I will ever have this baby! It seems like so many people in my week are having their babies and here I am...STILL PREGNANT! hehe My husband even insists on asking me EVERYDAY whether or not I am really pregnant! ha Oh well, I guess my time will come...I just wish it would hurry up! Anyway, I guess I am out of things to say. I am going to start working on my nursery today! YAY!!! Keep me posted! lulu81usc -
Sunday, 13 April That's so crazy! Wouldn't it be awesome if you ended up delivering on the 25th? I hope you do. I'm so tired of being prego. My belly feels like it ways 50 lbs. Just turning over in bed is such a challenge. Also, my crotch hurts. He hasn't dropped though. I can only imagine how I would feel if he did. Sorry its so nasty up there. We really have had amazing weather here. I've just been trapped inside and I live 10 minutes from the beach. I hate wasting these beautiful days but I've promised myself that I'm going to take Hunter on 2 walks a day! I'll take advantage of the nice weather once he gets here safe and sound. =) lulu81usc -
Saturday, 12 April Hey girl! Hubby came home with the computer so I'm finally getting to talk to the outside world! Well it wasn't bad today (bed rest), I did have the doc appt. Everything went well. I did the stress test which I'll do twice a week. Then I did blood work which my awesome doc already called me about and it came back great. Of course I still have the protein in my urnine but thats not going to go away while I'm prego. My blood pressure was 110 over 70 which is awesome.
Finally...the U/S went great! Hunter is weighing in at 6 lbs 11 oz. My big boy. I made the official appt with my doc. I'll check into the hospital on April 24th in the evening and Friday, the 25th will be the big day. Plus she's on call that weekend so if Hunter doesn't make his big debut before 5 p.m. then she'll still be able to deliver me. I love her! She's so sweet and has a great sense of humor. She's my favorite in that practice.
By the way, we didn't get very good pics of him. My little guy had his hands over his face for the 3rd time! My doc said when he's born that I should pay attention to whether or not he sleeps with his hands up. I think I'll definitely get those little mittens so he doesn't scratch himself. =)
Sorry you're still at work. I hope your pregnancy stays on a safe and healthy path but I'd be thrilled if you were just a little early too! Gosh, we're 36 weeks! I am so excited! Also, I have a very good friend coming in for the weekend w/ her husband. I haven't seen her since November so I am so thrilled. She used to be one of my managers. I also have my shower on Sunday so I'm so stoked. Josh has been awesome. He came home at 4 from work and has mowed the lawn, done laundry, vacumed, mopped, and cooked! Wow, I love my hubby! He can't wait for me to get this baby out. =) Sorry for the long message. I think of plenty to say when I sit around the house all day. sarahjk -
Thursday, 10 April hello, went to dr she said v/veins and a prolapse, 4th baby see, heads fully engaged, loads of pressure. may be you should get yourself checked as well. i have physio regular so the prolapse will eventually sort it self out. who'd be a woman eh!!!! not long now.
take care xx lulu81usc -
Thursday, 10 April Awe, I was getting worried about you. I'm sorry you've been sick. That is no fun. Is it still pretty cold up there? You just need to move to the south and warm up. =) Then again, you'd go nuts with the humidity and the pollen.
Well other than the boredom I'm doing great. I have a very hard time sitting still but I'm doing my best. I think I get up mostly to pee. =) I drink a ton of the 1 liter flavored sparkling waters. No sodium or sugar and they're sooooo good. My feet look normal today! I went from elephant feet to normal in a day! It really does help when you keep those feet up. (Plus I've cut down on salt and caffeine.)
I'm sorry about your feet. It was really freaking out my cosworkers. The pitting edema blew their minds! I hope you are able to take it easy. I don't think it is good to work up to the due date now that I can see the benefits of chilling out. I hate that you're sick and swollen and who knows what else you are feeling. I have developed carpal tunnel. (Totally prego related.)
I have an U/S on Friday morning. Josh is pretty excited. That's his favorite part. We will see just how big our boy is. Now keep in mind he was 4.2 at 31 weeks so I'm sure he's a good size. Also, it is very obvious to me that he has pretty much run out of room in there. Poor little guy.
I can only write you in the evenings now since my hubby always takes the laptop to work. I hope you feel better soon and I can't wait to hear your story. =) first-time-mommy-to-b -
Wednesday, 9 April I'm soo sorry you have been sick. I hate being sick..but its even worse when you are pregnant!! I am doing well...finally starting to work on the baby room! YAY!! FINALLY! I feel like I have dropped, but if one more person tells me "well, that babys not going to come if she doesn't drop soon" then I swear I am going to hit them! They don't know how high I was carrying her before!!! Ugh, its so frustrating...and even if she has dropped there is no rule that says they have to drop a certain amount of time before delivery! Sorry, I am soo ready for this baby and she is just not wanting to come yet!! But, I guess as long as she is snuggled up inside me I know she is safe and growing strong! So how are you feeling aside from your massive cold? Getting excited? Have you dropped? Has your crib come in yet? My mom swears that labor is going to be in the next 48 hours for me b/c I was cleaning like a mad women yesterday...I didn't sleep most of the night, I am just not tired! Humm...I can only hope she is right, but I fear that she is wrong! Let me know! Almost forgot, LOVE the name you chose!!! mar14e -
