oh thats odd i`d say , my baby is not engaged i know that but for her to comment on your hips thats an odd exscuse.? how can she say you can`t deliver? umm you know if you are so against a c section then you can refuse one, you can deliver any time within the next 4 weeks,as you could go over but why on earth is she saying you can`t do straight forward i have not heard that one before.umm is there any chance you can see another midwife? normally by this stage a baby will engage if htis is your first, but i know from experience that a baby can engage last minute!! yes i think your midwife seems too in a rush to get you in and control teh situation rather than let you go natural? well like you say your hips are wide normally if you have a good size pelvic area you can deliver fine,i can`t understadn it ,well i personally wouldn`t have a c section unless really had to but htats my choice and remembr its your choice and you can refuse any medical interevtion if you feel strongly that its the wrong decision,i think you need a second opinion, good luck..

hi! havent heard from you in a while. hope you have been keeping well. let me know how youve been doing. take care.

libbysmama - Friday, 15 August
Hi Girlies! I haven't talked to some of you in a while...give me a shout! Hope you are all doing well! I am hanging in there, counting down the days...I predict about 12 days until baby I got the bassinet set up, placed a bid on a FABULOUS car seat cover on ebay (hope I get it!), picked out a Boppy and a swing to order...just checking things off my to-do list. I still need to pack for the hospital. When I am in the hospital hubby's to-do list consists of getting bottles, formula, diapers, some odds and ends~and he gets to pick out a going home outfit for baby! He gets very excited about things like that!

The SPD and pressure from baby being so low is killing me, but overall I am feeling pretty good. My kids are Sooooo excited for the baby to get here. They go back to school on the 26th, and that is when I expect baby to come, so it should be an interesting week!

We STILL have not gotten an offer on the house...the couple from Switzerland want their mom and sister to see it next week. My husband told them to bring us an offer first. It is just cutting it too close to me having this baby, and I don't need to be cleaning for strangers if they aren't serious about buying at this point. I will certainly let you know if and when we get good news on that front.

I hope you are all doing well! Those of you who have/are expecting babies...give them kisses for me TTYS!!!!

ooh i know what you mean about the stiff fingers! it seems like whichever side i fall asleep on gets numb. when are you due? earlier than me, right? ive got six weeks left but im so hoping its two weeks early like last time...or earlier. except im dreading labor since im small and the baby got stuck last time!! he was born before i had a c-section but it made me lose alot of blood and i had to be in the ICU for two days after the birth. i held my baby for the first time two days after he was born. dunno if the doctors will be as understanding this around.

mumsie26 - Wednesday, 13 August

HI! I'm doing good, just READY to have this baby...I'm sure you are, too! Can you believe we are so close? I think just about 15 days until she is here! I know what you mean about getting bigger all of a sudden...ME TOO! I did lose all of my plug...YAY Lots of contractions, diarrhea, and loads of SPD pain as well! Other than that I'm feeling GREAT!!!!!!

No, our house has not sold yet...still hoping one of the couples makes an offer SOON!!!!

Hope you have a great day and we have baby news soon

do you keep making up with your mom? i havent spoken to mine yet...when are you planning to go on maternity leave? what do you do anyway? i stopped working when i was two months...and no one will hire a pg mommy so im home all the time and bored! hey this is your first right? are you afraid of labor?? i wasnt last time but now that i know what its like im not looking forward to it. thought i was gonna die!!!

mumsie26 - Friday, 8 August
Thanks very much, thats nice of you,, i didn`t plan a large family but i don`t believe in abortions and i think whats meant to be is meant to be,, it really is lovely having so many children around, yes it can be hard sometimes but we all much in as a family and are close..
well you certainly have a good attitude towards labour an dif you do the mind over matter it helps, rememrb its natural and the more your body adn the baby work together naturally the bettter.
I don`t normally have pain relief and i don`t scream and shout,i think it helps if you can be calm etc, my best delivery was in the car so natural and no midwifes telling me what to do ,lol,, it happened so natrually it was lovely.. less pain as bbay arrived too compared to when the midwife tells you to push. i had homebirth with last baby andas i knew more of my rights i was in control more too, midwife had to ask to do anything, i am homebirthing this time too but i would say to you that each pregnancy is diffent so is each labour ,i am luckt too as my longest labour was 5 hours 15 mins and quickest 26 mins, so that helps, that doesn`t mean it don`t hurt cos it does just like any other women,i start getting strong contractions very suddenly and they are only like between 2-5 mins apart so i have to act fast.. in other countries its differnt like you say as your choices are not the same which is a shame, but i am sure with your attitude you`ll be fine.. good luck... wub

orion-utopia - Friday, 8 August
hey, how have you been doing? im like really bored recently since i stay home all day. plus we live in this tiny apartment...were planning to move in two weeks but until then i cant set up anything for the baby. so frustrating!

mumsie26 - Wednesday, 6 August
mazariff ,, your worrying too much.relax girl.. everyone is different.. most of my bbaies were carried low but they mostly were breecdh or trnavers til near the end before turning head down..just ebcause ppl say the baby should be a certain way doesn`t mean that it won`t happen there still is plenty of time.. this baby moves but i think he is head down mostly.. as he has lots of space to move due to prev pregnancies... the last baby was showing as breech a few hours before i actually gave birth to her, as i had a mw check me and she said baby was breech... she was born head down.. best to relax and if you really are wanting th ebaby to move lie on your left side in bed and i have heard that heand and feet on floor rocking can get baby into position i have not tried htis but heard it can move abby... anywya don`t worry about this as htere still is time..good luck

P.S. I forgot to tell you I posted pictures of our Inn! We had was the most romantic time

libbysmama - Wednesday, 6 August
Hi mama's! Well, I'm back from a wonderful anniversary trip with my hubby. We had a great time and did a lot of antiquing. I walked way too much and am hurting...but it was worth it! We got an old table that we will convert into an island for our farmhouse, I love it!

I've been losing my mucous plug over the past few days...I am so excited, she will be here in no time! I told some of you already, but Matt decided to change our girl's name AGAIN...she will be Maggie Elyse. We both love it and think it's perfect for her. I looked high and low for baby stuff on our trip. I decided to get the 'Shabby Chic' baby bedding from Target. We have chosen a white Jenny Lind crib. I am now just trying to decide between getting a car seat cover ($56) to go over our boy's car seat, or get a car seat stroller combo from Target ($130). Which do you ladies think I should choose? I am going to pass on the Peanut Shell baby sling, because I don't think it will be used long enought o justify the $65 price. We want to make wise purchases since this is our last baby and we won't be reusing anything.

We have news on our house! The Switzerland couple is hopefully wanting to make an offer, and the other couple is still waiting for their insurance money from their house fire, once they get it they said they are buying our house. So, now it's a matter of who offers what and when...until then, we continue to wait. Both couples are cash buyers, so that means a quick sale. I just want this to go fast now, we have done enough waiting.

Well, now that I'm back, write to me! I missed you!

oh god, we really sound alike!! im the oldest in my family and my brother and sister are way younger than me. ive always helped my mom with tons of housework from when i was very young...cooking dinner for the family by myself from age 11 until i left home, laundry and ironing...and my sister! shes nine years younger than me amd i was the one changing her diapers and patting her to sleep every night. my mom insisted it was the only way she could sleep and it became a habit until she was three. the weird thing is when my son was born my mom was all "dont spoil him, it will become a habit" when i would soothe him to sleep. um, hello? anyway, my mom would criticize about everything...why wasnt my sister asleep yet, why is she crying, the dinner is plain, theres no tea on the table. she made me feel like i couldnt do anything right. and she could never be wrong. stupid example is once when i was like 13 in my bedroom i was bent over at the waist brushing out my hair and i straightened back up right as my mom walked in. she was convinced i was doing something bad like hiding something and she wouldnt let it go. stupid right? and like your sister mine has always been needy and my mom paid alot of attention to her. shes 11 now and can barely wash her own hair...anyway...whenever i see or talk to my mom i get that cant do anything right feeling and im sick of it...im so afraid of becoming like her that six years ago i made a list of all the things she did that made me feel useless and unloved so i dont do the same with my kids. sigh. anyway...i cant imagine being able to wait until the birth to know what it is! how are you going to shop for stuff??

orion-utopia - Monday, 4 August
thanks for your message...my partner knows some of the staff at the hospital we are planning to have the baby at so i am thinking about just calling my mother after the babys born and having the staff tell her the labor was really quick and there was no time to call her. my last labor was horribly long and i was the talk of the hospital (even when i went back for my one month checkup). everyone was really understanding except my mom who kept sending my husband out to buy her snacks inbetween saying shed gone through labor three times and couldnt i keep the noise level down. good luck with your mother as well...its nice to know im not alone. do you know what youre having yet?

mumsie26 - Monday, 4 August

Hey have u been doing this massaging?

libbysmama - Wednesday, 30 July
Oh, good that you don't have endo...I've had it for 10 years and wondered if there was a connection to the SPD. I am exactly like you with the SPD, it's worse in the morning and at night.

Still no offer on the house, we are hoping to hear from one of the buyers soon, I'll let you know when we get an offer!
