We are high school sweethearts. We met in the beginning of Feb. of '05 and dated soon after. It was my junior year, his senior year.

We have two wonderful kids. Kyle is our first child.I found out I were pregnant with him on 7.23.06. I was only 3 weeks pregnant. He was born on 4.11.07. He was one day late.

Our second child is Alexis. I found out I was pregnant with her on 10.16.07. I gave birth to her on 6.14.08, she was one week early.

We have decided on only having 2 children. Although I'm sure God would have blessed us with more beautiful children, we decided it was best if my husband got a vasectomy. This happened on 7.02.08. So as of this date, we are no longer able to have children. It breaks my heart a bit to know that I will no longer feel a baby's kick or movement, but I know it was for the best. We are financially only able to care for 2 kids. To have more and not able to support them would be wrong!

wow carol, you were right about renting the pumps! I called today and its 60$/month PLUS an addition 75$ up front just for renting it. I dont understand why they wouldn't make it cheaper for people who don't want to spend 300$ on a pump. That really pisses me off. I think I'm going to try to get the same pump that you have (from toys r us) since I know that it works. Me and steve are taking the baby on vacation this weekend and we are leaving again for the beach in august, so I need a pump to take with me in the car. Just with all the vacationing I really dont want to spend 200-300$ on a good pump right now.

Yeah, thanks so much for the advice!

I think it's just that my pump sucks. My aunt gave me hers, which it is automatic.. but I guess just a couple years of use wore it out. I think I'm going to call the hospital tomorrow and ask about renting one. The one's that I had looked at that work really well are 200-300$ !! Crazy. But I need a good pump when I go back to school in order to have enough milk for her, since I want to breast feed as long as possible.

Anyways, about the stitches. They were feeling totally fine then a couple days ago I woke up and couldn't even pee with my squirt bottle. It burned so bad I held in my pee all day long. I was also having a yellowish discharge on my pad, which looked not good to me. The pain got so bad I could barly walk.. so I knew something was wrong and I called. I change my underwear at least 3 times a day and shower twice (if not more) because I'm a clean freak and I'm crazy about stitches (never had any before), so I told the doc this wondering how the hell they got infected and he responded, "well there are several factors that could have caused it".. but I had that dr's office and am never going back for another pregnancy. Finally the stitches are feeling much better, but they are no where near being dissolved which kinda freaks me out.. I hope my skin doesn't start to heal over them, I heard stories of that happening. knowing my luck... it will lol I think they got infected though because I ran out of the dermoplast from the hospital so steve went to buy me more and it had an added "antibacterial" solution in it.. thats the only thing I can think of.

your daughter is absolutely beautiful! congratulations! dominic is almost 9lbs now and making quick progress for a preemie his dr says so i couldnt be happier!

hey carol! I'm doing okay. Ive been in a lot of pain the past couple of days and finally went to the dr and found out both sets of my stitches are infected. It stinks, I feel like I did the day after I had her. But on a better note, she is feeding really well and gaining really good so I am happy about that because breastfeeding was rough for me at first. Although i'm having trouble pumping I dont understand how I'm supposed to feed her all day and pump milk for the next day if I'm going out and my mom is watching her. My body just doesn't want to produce that much milk. I feed her every 2 hours, so am I supposed to pump in between every hour? I've been trying to do that but I can't get enough milk. I'm not sure if its because I might have a shitty pump, or bc my body isn't producing it.

i wear the nursing pads during the day, but at night i just wear a nightgown (or topless!) so when he fusses, i can just put the boob in his mouth (he sleeps with us) and we go back to sleep.....before i kept finding nursing pads hidden in our sheets! i'm so lazy, maybe i should start wearing them again! ooooh my scar is wicked:-/ but its healing pretty well, still sore. i can't wait to start going back to ballet class, the gym, and teaching pilates. sigh. soon! xoxo
