I'm actually not pregnant. My beautiful, wonderful, sweetheart wife (Mrs. MBL) is. ;-)
This is our first baby (our honeymoon baby) and we are super excited.
11/16 - Paige Noelle was born at 2:13AM (Sunday). At 6lb 10oz and 19.5 in long. Born at home in our bed. Only a 4 hour labor! 9:50pm no contractions. 2:13am baby in arms!
10/30 -
Prenatal with midwife and her assistant - measuring 33 @ 35. Our midwives quote "I'm not even
going to do an internal and scare myself" - referring to her being gone for
the next two weeks. Looking forward to a
wonderful home birth sometime in the next.... day to 7 weeks. =)
10/26 - Things are moving along. Baby is getting big in there and mommy is getting uncomfortable. Things seem to be progressing normally, loss of plug.
10/12 - Some more swelling after walking around town for a couple of hours. Flew back the next day. No more flying for mommy until the baby is born.
10/10 - Swelling after a day of flying
10/10-13 - Trip to see in-laws
10/4 -
Baby shower with a few friends/family members. The dog likes the car
seat and stroller - lol. Hopefully he will like the baby too.
9/26 - We both felt baby having the hiccups. She was kicking around a lot.
9/24 - Midwife said baby's head is down and at this point she probably won't turn. Also had our first child birth class. Then I was able to hear baby's heartbeat by putting my head on wife's tummy. SO COOL (and fast)!
9/17 - Not much new to report. She is definitely growing and moving in there. I can put my hand on her belly and feel the baby moving around, pushing, and kicking. Usually when I talk to her; she calms down. I'm not sure if that is a good thing (she likes it) or a bad thing (I scare her. lol). My wife is starting to have minor little pains in her stomach and back. She can't lay on her back very long like she use to.
9/4 - We started setting up the nursery. We got the crib, boppy swing, dresser, care cart, and closet all set up. Still a little extra junk to be moved out. It is really starting to look good.
9/2 - Second 3D/4D ultrasound! Even more pictures posted! Still keeping that hand in her face but we did get a few good shots. Silly baby girl.
8/29 - Nursery is painted. Some stuff still in the middle of the room.
8/28 - What a day! We had our midwidfe appointment in the morning and on our way there we decided to call the 3D/4D ultrasound people to see how long it'd take to get in. They had an opening right after our midwife appointment! Midwife took her heart rate and it was 144 bpm. Then we went to the 3D/4D ultrasound. Well after 30 minutes little Ms. Paige didn't want to coroperate. Her hands AND feet were up in front of her face. We get to go back next week for free and try again. Pictures posted!
8/24 - Jamaica was awesome. Seriously if you want to have an excellent time before the baby comes, ask me about where we went. It could not have been a better vacation. No kids, all couples, on the beach, lots to do, great food, and great staff.
8/17 - Week 25! Going to Jamaica!
8/5 - Going to start clearing out the nursery. Right now its just a junk room full of stuff. Once we've cleaned it out and added a fresh coat of paint and it should be ready to set everything up.
7/24 - Paige was kicking up a storm this morning. I was able to rest my hand on the wife's belly and fell lots of kicks with her. Such a cool experience.
7/23 - We decided on the name! It took us 11 days of thinking, discussing, and one online poll (thanks again for voting!) to finalize her name. Paige Noelle L_______
(Its a Spanish last name, despite both being white).
7/16 - Deciding a name. See the blog.
7/14 - We just found out we are having a girl! We are SO excited! She was active and nice enough to be spread eagle for us. So we got a clear shot of her parts. She was all over and kicked a couple times. Everything looked good and the heart rate was 137 bpm.
7/4 - Daddy (that's me) felt baby kick!
6/29 - Sea world/Orlando trip! Got to visit with family. My aunt threw a little party and made us a cake with cupcake booty's on top.
6/20 - Mommy felt baby kick for the first time!
6/19 - OB appointment went great. Had a fetal heart rate of 147 bpm. Also met with Audrey (the midwife we decided on) and told her we were going to do the ultrasound with our OB then the rest of our prenatals with her.
6/14 - Told the family! Everyone is so excited. See blog for details.
5/30 - Wife went to the OB alone. They checked the baby and it was 153 bpm. Wish I was able to be there and hear it but I'm glad its health!
5/22 - Our appointment went great! They used a doppler to check our babies heart beat. We hear a few beats and then the sound disappeared (baby moved), the nurse found it again and baby was at 154 bpm.
5/19 - Week 12! Other than being tired the wife is doing great. We just got back from a three day trip to Florida where we found out my cousin is pregnant (she just broke the news) and is only a month ahead of us. We are so excited and can't wait to tell them and everyone our news!
5/ 6 - Week 10! We are excited and can't wait until our next U/S. We want to see our little baby be more then a peanut.
4/17 - New due date!
4/10 - First Ultrasound! 145bpm! It was so exciting. One more visit then our next ultrasound!

Monday, 17 November Last night we went to L&D at 230am. I got there...the nurse said, the baby looks great on the monitor they said he seems very happy. His heart rate was high in the 160-170s which its never that high. So then the nurse checked me and said I was almost 3cm (2-3cm is what she said) said I still was 25% effaced dunno how though...and -2 station. I was like well that explains why he was just kicking my side. So they still think it could be days away.....not 2 weeks the Dr said. I just got up at 6am and went to the rest room and wiped there was some bloody mucousy, snotty stuff on the toilet paper. SORRY TMI!!! Only one wipe though....Not sure if that was it or if that's just some blood from her checking me this morning. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? zebratango -
Monday, 17 November That's great that you guys were able to do a home birth. We live about 40 minutes from the hospital, so we opted to do a midwife assisted birth, but do it at the hospital. I would've loved to have done it at home...it's just a bit far away for my taste. I wish you guys all the best with your little one!! sarahlouise87 -
