A Newborn's Conversation with God

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, "You will simply call her, 'Mom'."

i agree that it is so hard to put children in daycare. I would prefer to stay home, but can't. I may later try to scale down my hours or ask to work some from home. I am a supervisor so I would probably have to step down to work from home. We will see if I can find a decent daycare or not. I had a bad experience once with my daughter and pulled her out immediately. The next one was wonderful so I was comfortable with my son there. It has been 10 years so I am now starting over. The lady before that took care of the infants has passed. I am so nervous about letting someone care for my newborn. I will take the full 12 wks to ensure some development. I am just going to have to pray and see how it all plays out. I enjoyed staying home 8 months one time. I taught my son to read during that time. It was so less stressful on all of us.

Nope, not a scam at all! I live in Ohio, where they are based, and they are accredited through the Ohio Board of Education, or whoever governs colleges/trade schools. It was also recommended to me by my mom's boss. She works in the medical records department of one of our local hospitals, and her boss said it was the best she'd seen. I'm not sure how the financial aid works. We did the payment plan when I took it, and that was 6 years ago that I took the actual course. I didn't go through the partners in education program, but I get emails all the time with job opportunities for grads. They have agreements with some companies that they will hire you right out of the course if you have a certain GPA, usually 93-95% depending on the place. I went on my own and found my job at the other site I sent you. I was lucky finding my boss. Alot of places want at least 2 years experience. After you have that, you can get a job almost anywhere. The agreement with the PIE companies through M-TEC is they will take recent graduates, the course is THAT thorough, even if you don't have the experience yet. Alot of the PIE companies want you to work set hours, etc, and I just didn't want to do that. They are the ones, however, that typically offer holiday and vacation pay, 401k, insurance, etc. I'm an independent contractor, so while I don't have a set schedule, if I don't work, I don't get paid (I'll be getting back to work probably 2-3 days after I have the baby, like my last 2 kids.) I also don't get insurance through my boss, and I have to pay taxes, which can be hard to set aside for. But, I get to go to school for awards ceremonies and class parties, I can go to the park on a nice day and finish up after the kids are in bed, if one of them are sick, I can work when I can and finish up when they're in bed. There are so many jobs with so many different options out there, I'm sure there is the perfect job for every person to find. It took me about 3 1/2 months on my own to find the job I'm at now. Even though they drive me completely insane (today they were horrible at my midwife appointment) I really am glad to be with my kids for all of their firsts and know they're being taken care of the way I want them to be. Plus, it gives me bragging rights at school. All of the other room mothers think I'm supermom for being pregnant, having 3 kids, working full time, and still being able to bring in homemade brownies and cookies for the class parties! lol

Hi there! I do medical transcription from home. I took my course through M-TEC, Inc. It is a completely home based course. They do offer payment plans and financial aid. They also offer a partners in education program to help you get a job. I've been working at home for the past 5 1/2 years now, and I love it! Here is the website where I found my job: http://www.mtjobs.com/

Good luck!

I am with you on that. I have my work, kids, and husband where I live. For any type of help I would have to probably go back to Nebraska where most of my family is. My mom is 2 hrs away, but she is a 2000s type of grandma. too busy jet setting to be bothered with kids. I have got to figure out the day care and get on a waiting list. I do not miss this part. I tear up just thinking about putting him in daycare.

peanutmommie - Monday, 14 Jan
they checked me and things look ok for now. she said it was probably some of the plug, but things look alright as of now. i have to go twice a week now though.... seriously feeling like i live there! lol.

sickasadog - Monday, 14 Jan
a person just dropped off some baby clothes to me. I said thanks and looked at it wondering, am I really going to have a baby? I really need these clothes? I feel him moving, but i am just spacey on the whole thing. I probably will be in shock when I bring the baby home. ha ha ha

peanutmommie - Monday, 14 Jan

crazyno5 - Monday, 14 Jan
Hi hows it going? Just got back from my checkup all is looking good. Baby has turned and is now headdown thank goodness. I must admit I did feel like the Baby had changed positions as I had a couple of days of lower Abdominal pain and my belly had changed shape it looks more egg shaped now where before I had a tyre shape because he was sideways. Took my top off and asked my Hubbys opinion a few days ago about the shape but all he could focus on was my breasts. Its mad I have gone from being a size 10A to a 12D so they are huge for me I actually think its great. The weather has been hot hot hot went for a swim to my friends pool but trying to sleep at night has been hard. Have my Glucose test next Tuesday and blood tests to check my Iron again hard to say if thats improved because I still feel tired. Apart from that my Pulse rate is high and was told to have a rest everyday. Now how do you do that with 4 other kids running around with it being school holidays here till the end of the Month. You are further along then me how are you going?I hope all is well.I will talk to you soon take care until then.

sickasadog - Monday, 14 Jan
I am like you, I got rid of everything. I have nothing. i hope this surprise baby shower occurs soon so I can start preparing. Can you believe how close you are to 30 wks? Omg, it is crazy. Panic!!! ok, i am better now. ha ha ha

sickasadog - Saturday, 12 Jan
Well, I crave coke classic with full caffeine. I try my best to only have a couple a week, but it is hard. I too have let go of the alcohol and my weekly happy hours so I am not giving up the coke. I at least went to decaffeinated coffee from starbucks. I have been sleeping with the windows open also, but it not as cold down here. I am opposite you because my asthma picked up in December. It is bad at night only now. Sorry you failed your glucose, but glad you get a re-take before the awful 3 hour test. Alot of women have been failing on this site. I am still waiting for my results. I go to my OB friday. I keep waking up my hubby at night. I can't help it. When the baby has me up at night, I get bored so I need someone to talk to, right? I don't think he agrees. ha ha ha I finally registered at Target. I did babysrus a month ago, but people must only want to go to target. Oh well, I will print my babysrus list and get shopping around my 32 wk. Other than that, we have some onesies and a couple nightgowns still. I just don't feel like picking up all that stuff. ha ha ha

peanutmommie - Saturday, 12 Jan
had an u/s on thurs to check her weight and she is measuring around 4lbs and 6 oz. they said that is right on target w/ 32 weeks - it kinda surprised me a little though, i was expecting her to be smaller. but it makes me happy b/c if she were to come early she's a good size already. :) how are you feeling? i can't sleep anymore, i stop trying. hahahaha.

sickasadog - Saturday, 12 Jan
okay, you are funny. I don't know what the heck I am going to do this time. The staidol will just make me loopy. I will need a numbing shot before I let that epidural near me. I don't know what to do. I keep watching a baby story trying see how they act to program myself in believing that I won't be a wimp this time. I can come to the hospital without crying out that i am in labor like a fool. ha ha ha I really want to act like I'm a big girl this time. On another point, it should would be nice to sleep all night without having to use the restroom or take a hit of the albuterol inhaler. how are you feeling lately?

sickasadog - Friday, 11 Jan
Rofl... hey you city slicker... ha ha ha I am just as nervous although I have had 2 already. I am stressed just trying to find day care right now. I am also terrible with the entire pain thing. I am getting so sleepy now because I also get up at least 3 times during the night to potty. I also have a baby that decides to be wide awake at 1am, 3am, and 5am. I guess that is when I have to go. He jumps on my bladder where I have to take small steps. Don't even try to sneeze or cough hard.

sickasadog - Wednesday, 9 Jan
ha ha ha... I have not tried the new inhalers and stopped the qvar. it says you have to rinse after taking it to prevent thrush. well, i have rinsed and still feel some soreness in my mouth after 2 days of using so i have put that thing away. I am just doing zyrtec, the albuterol, and a nasal inhaler. I like you am feeling old. I feel like I now need a handicap sticker because walking is killing me. The baby gets into positions takes my breath away and he also wakes me up at 3am every night. Are you thinking about how quickly time is moving all of a sudden? I have got to look for day care. By the way, I am originally from Nebraska. I only went to SD for the black hills and badlands by way of Valentine Nebraska.

crazyno5 - Wednesday, 9 Jan
Thats a pain having to go to the toilet alot I do know how you feel. Mine is not quite as often but every time I get a Braxton Hicks I feel like I have to go. Maybe you have more Pressure because the Heads down. Mine has the feet down so its not to bad but when the baby kicks I feel like I have to go and same as you there is not much to show for it. I get paranoid about getting an Infection as I had one in earlier stage of Pregnancy and it was awfull. So if I don't go properly I feel like I am getting an Infection back. You do make me laugh with the sedation thing its funny how everyone is different. My kids are like that one gets hurts hardly has a whinge then another can get hurt and complains and sooks for ever I suppose we all have a different pain threshhold. Talking about pain got a huge pain in the back of my calf muscle as I was bitten by a huge ant stupid thing. You wouldn't think thay would sting so bad but its turned all red around the bite and is swollen. My 5 year old is allergic to them and has to have antbiotics straight away otherwise he gets seriously ill and he hardly whinges at all. I have had my leg under running cold water for ages. But I am sure all will be fine. Still feeling really tired go to bed tired then can't sleep the joys hey.Alright hope things are cool for you and all is well and I will talk to you soon. Take care.Think of me melting over here as we are in for another heatwave 38 tommorrow and 42 degrees on Friday so the whale without water is signing off and hopes to get by by soaking in the tub.

peanutmommie - Wednesday, 9 Jan
yes, i am very excited that i know for sure that the latest i will go is 03/04. but that doesn't mean i won't go before then! ummm... the gd makes me pretty tired and if i don't eat enough or eat too much i feel not so great. mostly just tired and very, very thirsty. :) but it's not all bad. only 7-8 more weeks, right?

crazyno5 - Tuesday, 8 Jan
Those epidural needles do not sound good but when one is in pain I suppose you would go through anything for some relief. I have a friend who swears by the epidural as well and thinks I am crazy. I think alot has to do with the fact I get nausea from alot of medicines and that puts me of trying. I do tend to through up during labour anyway and also after about half an hour after having a baby then I finally feel better its one of the signs I am getting close to giving birth I just through up all over the place can't help it. But when I have had any type of gas or Morphine or pethedine even panadeine I feel sick and through up until its out of my system. Maybe thats why I haven't been gaim to try the epidural. Hopefully I can get through this labour without anything as well because I do then recover quite well once it is all over.I am feeling pretty good these days alot depends on what I wear to how good I feel within myself. Past 2 days have felt nauseated again but I think its because I am tired. I am just trying to enjoy this pregnancy while I can before I get to big and grumpy.I am not one of these women that glow when pregnant but all in all am coping fairly well that of course could change any given day as its a bit unpredictable today fine tommorrow yuck who knows. Held my friends baby last night and did wonder if I could fit a baby that big in my tummy but I suppose anything is possible. Its lovely to hold a newborn though and got me scared and exited all at the same time for when its our turn. How about you do you do you still get scared? I can feel your'e pain I sometimes wake up and feel like an old women and then other days pretty good.Baby is very active and kicking me heaps in the bladder I can tell its still laying sideways hope it changes position soon. How about you where are you feeling most of your'e movement. Also do youy feel like you have to go to the toilet to pee everytime you get the Braxton hicks or is that just me? Talk to you soon look forward to it. Bye for now.

I have felt pretty good...starting to get more energy now which is pretty nice. How about yourself? I am sure all will turn out good!

sickasadog - Monday, 7 Jan
oh man, that is awful. you are on alot. i am just on four and i fought her with those. oh, i forgot albuterol. it stinks because the bigger i get, the worse i breathe. i am worried that i won't go to term because i won't be able to breathe. At least you are not hospitalized. My doctor has someone hospitalized since week 8 so I guess we need to follow their orders, but limit what we can.

peanutmommie - Monday, 7 Jan
i've been feeling pretty good after i hit the 2nd trimester. now i'm starting to get tired again. also, i was diagnosed w/ gestational diabetes a few weeks ago, so that isn't a lot of fun. :) i have 3 dr appts this week alone! lol. but i'm very excited, the latest my mckenna will be is 03/05 - i'm being induced on the night of the 4th. so that's reassuring to know i don't have too much longer to go!

Katy19 - Monday, 7 Jan
Hello! So I tried the Pulmicort Flexhaler - It is a very difficult contraption to work! Even the pharmacist wasn't sure how to help me out. I have to say, I would much rather be on the Advair...I feel it works better and this new medicine burns my throat. But I will use whatever is best for my baby... Good Luck!

crazyno5 - Monday, 7 Jan
Hi my Girlfriend finally gave Birth to a healthy Baby boy saturday Morning his name is Liam and he was 9pnds 4 oz and 51 cms long. All is well I am going to see him tonight as I was away for the weekendhaving to expose the body and go swimming because it was so hot. But didn't feel to bad because there seemed to be quite a few women around who weren't pregnant and were not exactly trim and taut so I quickly got changed wrapped a towel around me till I got to the water Jumped in Cooled of then jumped out wrapped the towel back around and so forth. The kids had a ball we came back with good colourbut not exactly rested anyway feeling ok and healthy so don't want to complain about too much.I usually get through labour naturally but am open to the option of painkillers as every Labour is differant so if this labour proves to hard to cope with you never know painkillers could be an option but we will see how we go all I know it hurts like hell but have done it before and will hopefully be able to do it again.I think every women has the right to do whats right for her and her baby.So heres hoping for a quick painfree labour for the 2 of us. How do you go with it all?Anyway will talk to you tommorow and let you know how my visit went with Liam take care for now.

crazylife85 - Monday, 7 Jan
