Hello!

My name is Megan. My husband and I have been trying since Dec 2006 . I started seeing a specialist and had a hysterosalpingogram and the Dr told me to do something to get getting pregnant off my mind ( I was and am obsessed!) So we got a puppy and 3 days later we conceived! I got my first BFP on Feb 22! I am so excited and thankful! Good Luck to each and everyone of you! You'll all be in my prayers!

Its funny, I tell you how my appointments go before I tell any of my friends. You just seem closer to others who are going through the same type of stuff you are. I do wish we could meet sometime, I'm not sure where you are from but I like to travel, I'm from the Midwest. I can't wait until we have these babies and all these worries are behind us. :)

I just got back home from the Dr. again because they forgot to do my fundal measurement this week. I can't believe all the news you were given. I didn't know that GD affected the lungs. You make sure they do whats best for you and keep you safe. The baby will be fine in the NICU trust me on this one. My little girl was in the NICU for 8wks when she was born at 27wks. The big milestones when entering the NICU is if the baby is at least 3pds when born, the other is if the baby is 32 weeks. You have already cleared both of those. My Dr. told me that most babies born at or after 35 wks go home with the mom, in your case he may have to stay a few days or a week but trust me he will do fine I really believe that . This all must be very scary for you but I have been where you are and in time of need you will pull strengh from places you didn't even know existed. i am right hear if you ever need to talk, you feel free to lean on me your taking in alot right now and I'd be scared if I was i your place. Take Care and keep me updated.
I'll be thinking about you guys
Kathy :)

Are things still going o.k. for you?

bluspirit - Tuesday, 23 September
I just got back home from the Dr. I had abit of a scare which wasn't fun. My ultrasound went well and my cervix is still staying stable which is good. Then the nurse went to do heart tones and the babies heart rate dropped. I was sent into NST's right away and her heart rate ranged from 120 -170 bpm. Thank goodness her baseline was 140 which is considered normal but I was a crying mess. My son had a heart rate problem and almost died during delivery so my past flooded back and overwhelmed me for a short time. They did end up sending me home but i will be keeping track of movement to make myself feel better. Let me know how things go for you today. :)

I am hangin in there. I was just thinking about how you were doing alittle while ago. I have had a cold for over 10 days and its still hanging on. I have another ultrasound and Dr. appointment in the morning so we will see how everything is going then. I can't remember are you being induced with your little boy or are just hanging in there till the end?

bluspirit - Tuesday, 16 September
Sorry you are back on bedrest. I am just finally getting off bedrest. I was at the Dr. the past 2 days, on Sunday I had alot of contractions and all through the night they were 20-30 min apart. I caught a bad cold as well so I was getting alittle worried but my ultrasound today still says my cervix is about 1.9 cm. I am having my cerclage removed on Oct.1st and providing I don't go into labor my C-section was just scheduled a few hrs ago as well for Oct. 13th. I do have the steroid shots in but they haven't checked her lungs. So it looks like I have 2- 3 1/2 wks left to go. I will be glad when we both deliver and have our babies in our arms at home. Its funny they keep asking me questions about my BP because it keeps going up and down and nobody knows why. Mon. it was 112/82 and today it was 128/80. It bounces up and down every week .

i was just reading ur comment on wanting something to wear while nurinsing. i just wanted to know if u have heard of glamourmom shirts and tanks?? i have a few of them from my third baby and i plan on using them this time. they are awesome. they are just like a pajama tank top bit they unlock at the top just like a nursing bra. plus they have the place to hold ur nurisng pads in place, i would hate to go without them. they are cool becuase u cant really tell that they are a nursing shirt and u can wear them out in public or to bed. they are great. they just came out with a new one that is a bit longer than the old ones, which i plan on getting. they are kind of pricey, but u can get them on ebay for much cheaper, thats where i got mine. they are about 30$ each. but when u take in consideration how mcuh u will be using them they are definitely worth it. oh yeah, they are made with really good material so they last, and they keep ur tummy in for the postpartum part of it all. well good luck. oh yeah, target usually has a rack in the bra section that is just nursing stuff, u can buy sets of things or just bras and shirts too.

HI! I did make it to week 34. My ultrasound this week showed that my cervix has started to thin once again. I am contracting alot more this week and as of Fri. Morning as close as 30 min. apart my Dr. told me to go to L&D when I have 4 per hour. He told me they will not stop labor on me. How are you doing? Are you glad to be on the homestretch ?

dianam - Saturday, 13 September
thank you for your help! I didn't even think to look it up because I didn't think it was a problem but once you said I could have the pregnancy rash (which I didn't even know existed) I looked it up. I looked at pictures and sure enough, I'm pretty sure I have it. I will see my midwife on Thursday but even that seems sooooo soo far away! I hope it doesn't spread too much by then. Anyhow, thanks again!
Good luck to you and yours!

bugnjb - Monday, 8 September
I did lose 2 lbs at my last week doctor appointment! We will see about this week! I feel like my belly is really HUGE like it has just suddenly DRASTICALLY grew! It's making me nervous! Yea I'm just so irritated waiting until the 22nd for my ultrasound I want to see her NOW!! The GD is ok it's not as bad as I thought it would be but it does still suck!

bluspirit - Monday, 8 September
Hi! Hope all is going well for you. I did get my last shot on Monday but because of the holiday i had to go to urgent care and have a nurse give it to me that wasn't familiar with it. She tried to give it to me with a needle that was to small then when I finally was able to get the shot in it hurt very bad. I'm glad it was the last one, however i am aware that i can go into labor anytime after tomarrow because I don't get a shot now. At least I hung on this long. Now I just wish I could sleep. Some nights I get 4-5 hrs and about once a week I don't sleep at all. My cervix was still doing pretty good on Thursday when i saw my Dr. I'm glad we are on the home stretch now. i hope everything is going good for you and your little one . :) Keep me posted.

I had a NST on Thursday. It wasn't planned, but the baby wasn't being cooperative during the US so they wanted to make sure he was okay....and he was! Thanks for the help!!

tigerlily - Sunday, 7 September
Hi!! Thanks for asking im glad they did. This morning I felt better and haven't felt any today :)

bugnjb - Friday, 5 September
You have GD right?? I'm measuring at 37 weeks! And I have GD. My doctor wants an ultrasound too but the soonest they can get me in is September 22!!! But my doctor already said since I was diagnosed w/ GD that we would induce at 38 weeks so yea....

soon2be momma d - Thursday, 4 September
Your little fur baby will be just fine. My own baby had surgery for a hernia, broken jaw, broken pelvis and 3 pins put into 3 legs joints when I found him. I am sure you found and have a WONDERFUL vet who will take excellent care of him and just keep saying prayers to God. I will send some up for you as well. Keep you chin up and try to claim it - be confident everything will be fine.

stephieboyle - Saturday, 30 August
No, I passed my GD test fine, my hubby was 8.7 and I was 7.7, so no seriously big babies in the family... My fundal height puts me into the 34th week... And it wasn't an ultrasound, it was just the doctor feeling around and feeling how long and "meaty" he is. Although I did have a 3D ultrasound and tech (who isn't allowed to say anything about weight or anything) alluded to him being big, and asked me what week I thought I was in. When I asked her to clarify and be more specific, she said, "I can't, I'm not allowed". So who knows!? Maybe all this just means that my son will be done cooking faster and I'll get to hold him sooner :) How far along are you megan? 4.2 doesn't seem too far off the weight he/she should be, is it? Are you 1 week ahead? Did the dr change your due date?

bluspirit - Saturday, 30 August
Hi! Not to much changed. I am having alot of pain and problems with the 17P shot so my last one is on Monday and we are stopping them. The risk is that i could go into labor the following week so we just have to wait and see. If I can make it to the 1st week of Oct. my Dr. will do a c-section. I'm still not able to leave the house and go anywhere, not even with my husband and a wheelchair. I've gained about 26 pds so far and I really don't want to gain much more but with no activity its hard. Of all 3 this is my most uncomfortable pregnancy but when she is here it will all be worth it. I do have braxton hicks everyday and some are getting uncomfortable so i hope I can hold on another few weeks before delivery. I hope everything continues to go well for you also. Keep me posted! :)

alerie - Thursday, 28 August
Thanks for the comment. It's good to hear from someone who is going through the same thing. I haven't received an appt. with a dietician yet. I thought they were gonna call me yesterday or today but never did. Maybe tomorrow. How are you dealing with yours?

tiggerlover - Thursday, 28 August
Thanks, but I think we have too many blankets, too. Seriously, we have just about everything, LOL. I think people should get us diapers and gift cards. That's the best, but people like to buy cutesy things. =)

tiggerlover - Tuesday, 26 August
Thanks for the reply. I want people to buy gift cards, but too many of them want to spend little money and gift cards are too much for some. Some people are cheap and like to buy from the dollar store or something, you know? By the way, CUTE puppy! =)

bugnjb - Tuesday, 26 August
OH boy! Now I'm nervous! I don't want to have to push out a 10lb baby!! Well at least he told you that you go at 38 weeks! It's exciting that we get to see our babies sooner but scary at the same time! I have to go every week until the end but they haven't mentioned anything about non-stress tests, what exactly is that? How long have you known you have GD?

bluspirit - Tuesday, 26 August
Hi! This week I have to wait until Thursday to see my Dr. I hope he has some idea of a plan from here on out since i only have 2 more 17P shots and I have a cerclage in place. Time will tell. How often do you go to the Dr. now? Are you on any restriction or are you able to do as you wish now?
