Hey Ladies! My name is Megan. I'm 28 and we're having our first baby. My stepdaughter Hailey is 6 and can't wait to meet her new brother or sister. I'm not big on suprises so we'll find out what we're having in a few weeks. Am so happy to have found this site. This is such an exciting time!

Your response to my comment makes me feel a lot better especially because you were in the same situation! Thanks for the comment..

You are welcome. My doc and i chatted about the 'odd' cravings and she said some women actually eat chalk b/c they are craving it. I just about gagged right then! haha. hope all is well.

luvbeingamom - Monday, 30 June
i read your comment under cravings forum. I just wanted to make sure you know that craving odd things like markers and stuff cna be an idication that you are low on some essinsial things like iron. You might want to let your doc know about these cravings. It could be nothing, but i was always asked if i craved things like that b/c it can be a natural way of testing for missing nutrients. Just FYI. Good luck in L & D.

I feel the same way - no labor contractions, the baby hasn't dropped, and no mucous plug that I know of - just lots of discomfort and pains when she moves too much. But the doctor says it can all happen very fast. Hopefully it will for us both!!!

Oh girl, I cant totally relate to how you feel. In the beginning he was great, didnt want me to do anything, or lift anything, and now that im bigger then ever and about to have this baby hes like houdini, I can never find him, hes either at the studio working, or working in our studio at home. Mind you the only thing he put together was the crib. The bassinet is still in the box which we will need before we will even need the crib!!! We still havent went to the hospital to register bc he wanted to go with me...Ughhh it drives me crazy. I think I figured it out, he already has a 7 yr old, maybe bc hes already been thru it once, hes not that interested this time...who knowssss!

I understand about the hormones...I have pretty much been fine, but this week it takes about nothing I think I may have cried everyday this week.

Mommad - Thursday, 26 June
Have you told your husband how you feel? I was going through the same feelings last week. I ended up telling mine that I was tired from working full time and taking care of our daughter, cooking, cleaning....etc.... Every since, he's been doing laundry and other things around the house. It would be nice if they knew the things they should be doing, but sometimes they need to be reminded.

Because the unfortunate truth is--men's lives don't change, only ours do. It sucks!

Ahhhh hun that was a silly thing ur doctor said they just dont think do they? has ur babys head gone down into ur pelvis yet (engaged)? mine did in monday or maybe over the weekend but my midwife said that dosent mean the baby will come any sooner i was a bit moody after hearing that lol... its right what they say tho the 1st and last stages off pregnancy are the worst. do you get lots of aches and pains now? (((((( big hugs))))))

apreece - Tuesday, 24 June
It is true that sperm will soften the cervix and orgasms will make your uterus contract. My husband is only home on the weekends and I have also been trying out this method but so far, no contractions for me.

kofiwan - Tuesday, 10 June
Hi thanks for you comment. I go to the midwife today & I suspect I am in the same boat. It feels like the baby is lying sideways!!! Nightmare, lets hope they move round!!

BabyGreene - Wednesday, 4 June
I feel the same way! Everyone is pissing me off and I feel like I just want to get away from everyone. So don't worry I'm in the same boat.

Try carpet cleaner to get the stain out of your chair

cdoyle23 - Friday, 16 May
Have you tried rubbing/dabbing the spot with rubbing alcohol? Also, I use this stuff from Armor All, it's made for car interiors (seats, carpet, anything material). It kicks butt! It gets stains off of just about anything. I use it on my carpet at home instead of carpet cleaner to spot clean. You can get it in any automotive dept at the stores.

Thank you. Im having another girl! Mariah Jaelynn will be her name. What are you naming your baby girl? Didn't you say you will be induced?

emarie08 - Monday, 12 May
Thanks for the comment. I am just a bit overwhelmed.

My 2 step-kids come over every other weekend and sometimes more... we are one big happy family, along with my daughter...

I just thought someone should have considered how uncomfortable, moody & tired I might be between 34-38weeks prego & still working full-time! Maybe I am just being whiney. I just don't know how much I will be able to do at that point.

I'm sure it will all work out.

Congrats, you have a beautiful family!!

MommaD - Monday, 12 May
I'm sorry you are dealing with hunger and weight. That is a struggle for us all. I gained 60 lbs with my first, I've gained 30 so far with this one. I don't know how people gain 25-30, that's ridiculous if you ask me. The 2 best foods for making you feel full are grapefruit and carrots. Green veggies are full of fiber and help too. Drinking lots of fluids help too. I know that all sounds gross. Nobody wants to eat that crap, especially when you're preg., but it may help you. Hang in there, not much longer.

MooMommy - Monday, 12 May
Awww I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that!! Big Hugs!! only a few more weeks to go.....IS there anything your doctor can recommend to help you feel full?? Like a "free" food??

I broke my tail bone also, but when I ws around 12 years old. Fell and slipped in the shower. I believe it is very difficult for the tailbone to heal. I still have trouble with it like on long car trips and such. This is my second and I can honestly say that it didn't hurt during labor, but I had an epideral. I am sure that helped! Good luck and congrats!

carolynjh - Monday, 14 April
With my 1st prgncy, my daughter didn't get head down until 37 weeks, they noticed she was still right side up and gave me some exercises to help turn her around, but usually it happens on its' own, nothing to worry about. She did turn around by week 38 and I didn't even notice! Only 3% of babies present breech at time of delivery :)

Angelia - Sunday, 13 April
I read your post about your legs. You might try taking a calcium and potassium supplement along with your prenatals. I was having much the same problem starting around 12 weeks. When I started taking the supplements the feelings and pain went away. Last week I suddenly had the pain pop up again so I took two potassium that day and by evening the pain was gone and I've been able to continue with my normal 1/day. Most prenatals do not contain the calcium and potassium levels needed for our bodies during pregnancy.
