HEY GUYS! FIRST OF ALL, THANKS FOR VISITING MY PAGE AND FOR ALL THE ADVICE I'M SURE YOU'LL BE GIVING ME IN THE UPCOMING MONTHS. MY BOYFRIEND AND I ARE PREGNANT WITH OUR FIRST CHILD AND WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER. RIGHT NOW, HE'S THE ONLY ONE WORKING BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING FOR ME THAT'S NOT SO HARD ON MY BODY. THE BIGGEST PROBLEMS I'M HAVING SO FAR IS THE MOOD SWINGS, EATING CONSTANTLY, AND SLEEPING TOO MUCH. LIKE, ONE SECOND, I'LL BE ALL LOVEY AND THE NEXT I'LL BE LIKE A MASS MURDERER ON A RAMPAGE. BUT, WITH DONOUGHT OR YOGART IN ONE HAND AND MY PILLOW AND BLANKET IN THE NEXT! ANWAY, I WISH EVERYONE LUCK WITH THEIR PREGNANCY AND I'LL TRY TO HELP OUT WITH QUESTIONS AS MUCH AS I CAN. November 14, 2007-
I went to the doctor today to have my first appointment. They said I was high risk because I'm still smoking. I've slowed down on that, though and will eventually stop. I got to see the baby and it's heartbeat, which was so amazing. Other than my smoking they said everything is wonderful and to come back in a month. My next appointment is December 12th. I'm so excited to see the baby's heartbeat at this appointment and can't wait to see the baby in another ultrasound. I'll keep you posted!
December 12, 2007-
Well, I went for my second appointment today. I got to hear the heartbeat and had to give some more blood. My doctor told me that my platlette count was a point below average so he wanted me to have it tested again. Hopefully, this time, it'll be okay. Other than that, everything else was wonderful. I won't get to see the baby again until I'm 20 weeks which sucks because I would love to see how my baby's growing, but....I guess I'll have to wait.
January 9, 2008-
I went for my third appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat again, which sounded great. I have to go back on the 23rd to take the tests for spina bifada and down syndrome. I was really apprehensive about doing that because I've read that they use a big needle to insert into your stomach and it can cause miscarriage. But my doctor let me know that it was only a simple 'blood from the arm' test and so I'm going to do it. Even though I'm going to love this baby no matter what, it would be good to know if there is something wrong so I can prepare myself and my family for it. They told me I was probably having pains in my abdomen because I'm not getting enough water and because all the muscles are stretching so much, so that eased my thoughts, alot. I go back next month to see if it's a boy or girl and I absolutely can't wait!
January 23, 2008-
I went for my Quad Test today. I'll know the results in a few weeks so let's pray that they're negative. I go back on the 13th to find out what i'm having. The heartrate is 160 and according to old wives tales i'm having a girl. But we won't really know for a few more weeks.
February 1, 2008-
I went for my 4th appointment today. I had decided to change doctors because I didn't really feel all that comfortable with my other doctor. So, today was the first appointment with my new one. She was amazing and I wish I had went to her from day 1. We heard the heartbeat again today and have to go back on the 5th for an ultrasound. Hopefully we get to find out what we're having!
February 5, 2008-

Found out that we're having a baby boy. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything else at the doctor's office was fine but she wants to do another ultrasound in 10 weeks. She moved my due date up 3 days which really doesn't amount to anything.
March 14, 2008-
I went for my sugar test today. It started out at 89 and after I waited another hour and drank my Dr.Pepper it went up to 105; meaning everything is okay. I go back for another appointment with my OB on the 25th. I can't wait till I'm 30 weeks so I can see my little man again!

Hi, I actually already had my baby a few weeks ago, but I had him at 38 weeks 6 days...I had a lot of discharge (my mucus plug) a few days before I went into labor and the loose stools as well...hopefully that is a sign labor is coming for you as well! Best of luck to you!!! We also named our baby Ethan, I love that name! :)

hey! I am in the baby boy club and like the rest keep getting asked about twins and told about everyone that usually is as big as me at 7 months.. I don't mind, the way I see it is there is more protection for my little one if I get bumped into or fall over!!

You look about the same size as me and i hate getting the 'twin'comments too!This is my 3rd pregnancy and now from experience i know that i get big fairly early on in my pregnancies and when everyone else has a major growth spurt at 30 odd weeks,i sorta stay the same and end up looking just right at full term! I have had big babies as well though so don't rule that out either!!!

don't worry about what all of these people are telling you about looking like you are carrying twins. i've had so many people say that to me also b/c my stomach is big at this point but every ultrasound appointment that i have had has shown only one baby in there and i feel only one baby in there so go by what youve seen and heard at the ob before trying to think otherwise. every pregnancy is different in terms of weight gain and appearance. =0)

Suposedly its cause the gap between the gate and the bed is so big that a baby can slip through. I think that is what it was.

I almost bought the baby bed/ changer combo like yours but I heard it had been recalled. If its simplicity brand I would definitly check it out. I looked all over for it cause it was such a great deal and then I stumbled across an article from December that said babies had died in the simplicity cribs. Please check it out cause I would feel horrible if your crib wasnt fixed and something happened to your little one.

Meggan you are not to big for 18 weeks. I am 5ft 1in and i am bigger than you and have been in maternity pants since month 2. I am very short waisted and the only place for my baby to go is out. You can look at my page and compare. But I see they gave you a ultrasound at 7 weeks and 6 days those are pretty acurate when it comes to how far along you are. Mine was done at 5.5 weeks so my due date is pretty set accornding to my very first ultrasound. You are only 5' 3 so you may short waisted as well but you are not to big for 18 weeks now if you were 5'5' you would probally not be showing at all. You look beatiful so who cares what everyone says. Have good day

i dont think so i am 18 weeks and I have already gained almost 20 pounds. I was only 120 before pregnancy. and us skiny girls show quicker. my belly measurement at the belly button is 34 1/2' i dont think you look too big, but i am not a doctor.

I am a belly sleeper and it has taken me a while to train myself to sleep on my side. I use a body pillow and either I will put it behind my and put another pillow between my legs or I will put the body pillow between my legs. Its not fun at first but you get use to it. I feel your pain. Goodluck!!
