As far as we know it's a girl, but they told us not to go pink crazy yet. We have another ultrasound in a month. We have a girls name, but still trying to decide on a boys... just incase.

Thank you for your response. I would like to have mine in at least the first few weeks but my husband is completely against it once he heard the woman in the prenatal class say not to use it. I guess I'll put it up to take pics and stuff and then take it out so he won't complain.

I think it is good that we get up every 2 hours as well. I think it will be fine when the baby comes because I will be used to it as well. I sleep good inbetween, and get up when I hve to.

I saw your question about your swollen labia. I am a RN and used to work in labor and delivery. Talk about a healthy respect for what is about to happen (this is my first). The swelling should be nothing to worry about. Just monitor it and if it doesn't go down in a day or so then I'd ask your doctor about what he recommends to relieve the discomfort (cool cloth, etc). Anytime a woman has intercourse the labia become swollen, that's normal. BUT, typically the swelling will go away quickly; however, with pregnancy there is more blood flow and pressure down there and the circulation as we get futher along is more difficult so swelling is usually worse and takes longer to go away. Just monitor it and things should return to "normal", at least what is normal when you're 32 weeks pregnant!

I had that happen to my privates about a week ago. It was still swollen the next day and my husband went to touch me and it was quite painful. But it went away, so no worries. The list of crap that happens to our bodies during pregnancy is just ridiculous.

I have had the swollen girl parts a few times after sex too. It was quite painful. I know that you have increased blood flow to the area during pregnancy and being aroused also increases blood flow to the area which causes swelling. There's more blood flowing to the area than away from it. (Sorta like what guys go through to get an erection?!) As long as the swelling goes away after awhile I think you should be ok. If you are at all worried I would talk to your Dr. just to make sure. Hope this helps!

I know what you mean about the stares, they really bother me as well... its because we are young and look young i think.. Thank you so much for your reassuring message! I would love to see a picture of your daughter when she was born. I don't know, part of me kind of wishes I didn't know the cord was around my baby's neck because I was doing the kick counts anyway and now I feel like there's all this pressure to make sure I'm paying extra close attention. Hey, I had one done a few months ago.. Those are more worst fear... Its just like an ultra sound from your groin down your calf, they tap your vein a few times and listen to your pulse and take images of your vein to make sure there are no blockages.. Its painless and they tell you in 5 mins if something was wrong. I hope your ok. When I get really bad charlie horses in my calfs i get the pain for like 4 days. Right now i just have thigh and knee pain fun fun. good luck:)

Hi!
Regarding the 'aftermath' of a leg cramp, I find that soaking my leg in a warm/hote bath relaxes the muscle. In addition to that I flex my calf muscle by moving my foot up and down. It will hurt but you'll need to work it a little bit to get its strength back. I had a leg cramp attack the other night too and it hurt SO bad but the aftermath was not bad. My previous attacks were horrible! I couldn't walk for a whole week!!
- Hot/warm bath
- Flex calf muscle
- Massage your calf muscle
