I just read this on the internet,.....Currently, the majority of cases of trisomy 12 detected prenatally have had normal outcomes. However, abnormal outcome was observed in 6 of the 23 cases of trisomy 12 detected in amniotic fluid reviewed by Hsu et al. 1997. As with other rare mosacism, there is likely a bias to excess reporting of the abnormal cases.

Hi, thank you again. I am 19 weeks and 32 years old. I hear what you are saying about amnio results. Our prelimary FISH uncultured results showed 5% (came back after 2 days). Today they gave us our final cultures from amnio and they indicated that after looking at 41 cultures there was no sign of Trisomy 12. They are still weary to say that all is well, as the CVS and fish results did indicated Trisomy 12. They are not sure if it is trickling down from the placenta. As you can see I am still taking in information and trying to process all of this. Any thoughts???I would like to keep in touch about all of this information. And I am eager to hear how things go for you.
