My name is Megan. I am 20 yrs old. My husband,Jessie and I have been together sinse I was 16 and have been married sinse July 21st,07. We already had 1 baby, our pitbull/boxer Bailey. We got her in February '06. In December '06 I became pregnant,And unfortunately lost it in January '07. And then we had another baby in May '08. And that was our baby girl, Chloe,She was a Chocolate Lab mix. On July 7th, we found out I was pregnant. I had a horrible pregnancy. First morning sickness, then high bloodpressure all through my pregnancy. And then the most horrrible rash ever, PUPPS, On March 10th, my little precious baby boy,LANDEN JACE was born via emergency c-section because he aspirated maconium. He has been our little blessing ever sinse. Unfortunately,His "big sister" Chloe died when he was about 3 weeks old. He loves his other "big sister",his dog,Bailey.and she has been very great with him. He is such a happy baby and I love him soooo much!!

Yeah, I just got back from my appointment and Im still only 1 cm dilated 50% effaced but hes dropped more. Ahhhh I was hoping i would have made more progress. So much for sex and walking working lol. The only thing those did was made him drop 2 cm so hes now at -1 station. I wish he would just come out already!

I have no idea. I got an ultrasound at 19 weeks and it had the due date at 3/15 and again at 24 weeks the due date was 3/15. My doctors say 3/19, and thats impossible because I know the exact date I got my period cause I always tracked them, and going by my period my due date would be 3/17. Its all confusing! My midwife says hes between 6-7 pounds as of last week (by her feeling my tummy) and im like, yeah right, the way my back feels im guessing closer to 8 pounds. She thinks he will be around 7 1/2 pounds at birth, but i think bigger so I guess we will see whos right lol. I just wish I could sleep until hes born, im so done with being pregnant. I think im gonna try and entice her into giving me a membrane sweep tomorrow lol.

I personally feel like Im gonna be pregnant forever. I havent noticed too much for pain, or anything to make it seem like hes coming. My hospital doesnt induce till youre 2 weeks overdue, which I think is crap. I hope Monday I find out more progress has been made, cause if i hear the words 'no change' I think ill go crazy. My skin literally hurts when he moves, I cant imagine being pregnant for 4 more weeks. Well enough feeling sorry for myself lol. Whens your next appointment? Have you dilated at all?

samanthadawn - Sunday, 2 Mar
my next appointment is friday unless i go into labor before then..my due date is wed. i've been half a centimeter dialated for 2 weeks now and i'm about 45% effaced so i hope it's soon.. i've been having contractions but nothing regular.. i'm definitly going to miss my belly but i wanna see my son more!

samanthadawn - Sunday, 2 Mar

Hey hows everything been for you?? Sick of being huge and pregnant yet? I know I am. I just had my 37 week check up on Monday and I am 1 cm dilated 50% effaced and he is at -2 station. He still has some more dropping to do. Although I think he may have since monday. I am getting so damn frustrated with how slow time seems to be going by. I just want this boy outta my belly and in my arms.

charcharsuperstar - Sunday, 24 Feb
Hey girl. yep super normal all for us to be exhausted and TIRED Of being preggers !! Imagine the poor moms who are at like 41, 42 weeks! Yikes !

onmywayto3 - Sunday, 24 Feb
I understand! I feel like there is so much to do around the house but no one wants to help me....after spending all day Friday cleaning, it just gets messed up today by my hubby and 2 kids...it's so frustrating because I'm so tired and uncomfortable as it is and they just don't think anything of it...I don't want to be tired, I haven't even finished my baby's bring home blanket because I'm so tired...I can't sleep hardley, my HIPS are KILLING me when I lay on my left side...and it wraps around to my back...so yeah...I'M ready to get this OVER!!! LOL!!

onmywayto3 - Sunday, 24 Feb
Hey! About your comment/question ... In one word ... YES!!! I feel the same way as you do!

blakesmommy31708 - Friday, 22 Feb
Ha, i never have anything exciting going on. My life is boring, but I kind of like it lol.

blakesmommy31708 - Friday, 22 Feb
Yeah, I was told I would get a Q-Tip up the butthole, but my midwife never did it thank god. Just the vaginal swab. At least you got another ultrasound! jeez isnt it kind of scary how big their heads look compared to 20 Weeks? I just wanna meet this little man, im so tired of feeling like a whale and not to mention the horrible heartburn Ive been getting lately. I got HORRIBLE heartburn after putting pepper on my food. I doubt Ill ever try that myth about spicy foods and it bringing on labor. My chest wouldnt be able to handle it. Im just getting so frustrated cause I feel like everythings slowed down and nothings been happening to make me think I wont be one of those people who go 2 weeks over! My midwife said if I go over, she will induce at 42 weeks. I think thats crap, but lately Ive had such a bad attitude about being pregnant forever. Lol well enough of my oh so boring ranting. How have you been feeling?

alison3773 - Thursday, 21 Feb
I'm actually feeling great lately! Just tired... I'm finding out tomorrow when I'm getting induced! Yikes is coming up so soon! How are these last weeks treating you?

blakesmommy31708 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
Nah I didnt get to find anything out at my appointment on Monday. The entire office was running 1 and a half behind due to abunch of emergencies. Sucks but hopefully next Monday goes better. I did find out I dont have group B strep so thats great. Im planning on breastfeeding only so hopefully I dont have any problems. How about you?

seniorbaby08 - Wednesday, 20 Feb
no the epidural didnt hurt.. just felt like they were pressin on my back real hard. but didnt hurt. and its like HEAVEN!! i wanted it vaginnally but i wasnt progressin fast enuff for him so they had to take him so he didnt get stuck. i was scared at first but the epidural numbed everything..they gave me like TONS of it cuz it was hard to get it in my back and they didnt want to take it out and give me anything else.

seniorbaby08 - Monday, 18 Feb

blakesmommy31708 - Sunday, 17 Feb
Sorry about the snotty lady! I didnt get exact numbers but hopefully Monday I will find out if anymore progress has been made cause I am in alot of pain! Mainly in my crotch. I am so over being pregnant!

blakesmommy31708 - Saturday, 16 Feb
Everythings going good. At my last appointment I found out that my cervix is thinning out and softening, Im dilating and she could for sure feel his head with her fingers. I have another appointment Monday so hopefully more progress has been made. Im not sure if Ill make it to my due date or not. I have been having loads of pressure lately. Have you found out if youre making progress yet or not?

blakesmommy31708 - Saturday, 9 Feb
Hey how did your shower go? Did you get your Nursery in a Box? My husband and I have that, its the cherry one cause I love cherry stained wood. Plus it makes his bedding stand out. Wow, we are almost there huh? Too bad time is going so slow now! I just want this boy outta my belly and in my arms. How have you guys been doing?

blakesmommy31708 - Thursday, 24 Jan
That sucks about the snotty doc. I go back to the doctor Monday. I am so ready to have this boy, I feel like my pelvis is about to break lol. Ive been super busy lately with all the packing and Dylans 24th Bday was yesterday, my body is just worn out! So how have you been doing?

smz001 - Wednesday, 23 Jan
Hey there. In South Africa we can have an elective c-section but have to become a bit creative for our medical aid to pay out, because they dont favour elective c-sections. But as far as I know it shouldnt be a problem. Another point to ponder on. When I spoke to my gynae about the pro's and cons of c-sections and natural birth she said both could have an equal amount of complications. With natural, if you have an episiotomy, the recovery time can be just as long as a c-section. My cousins have all had up to 20 stitches with the tearing, and everything from going to the loo to sitting is uncomfortable. With the c-section the pain hurts, but at least you can do everything, just at a slow pace. Hope that info helps

07babe - Tuesday, 22 Jan
yeaah its close to the end and im excited and Im not really nervous more excited but i havnt really had the time to freak out or get nervous since i been so busy!

smz001 - Monday, 21 Jan
Hey there. With my son I ended up having a c-section and in my opinion I would recommend it. Everything is so civilised :) For the lack of a better word. All is calm although I was scared and nervous. It all took about 20 minutes and it was over. You start feeling the pain about 6 - 8 hours after to operation, but its not an unbearable pain. In SA if you have a c-section you need to stay in hospital for 4 days. I only stayed for 2 cos I couldnt wait to go home and shower and sleep on a comfy bed. I was back to myself in less than 2 weeks, but had lotsa help and took things really easy in those 2 weeks. My sis in law had an emergency c-section as well and she says she is almost glad it happened that way. All my cousins have had natural as well as c-sections and they all say if they could do it over again they would choose the c-section. At the end it boils down to how you really feel. And trust me I really dont feel like I missed out on something because I had a c-section.

mommaj - Sunday, 20 Jan
I think vaginal is harder at the time but recovery is mkuch quicker. C section is very painful after the anesthesia wears off after few hours...then you need to take drugs for a few days to a week to tolerate the pain and recovery can be a few weeks. But vaginal with an epidural doesnt hurt too much because it is numb from your waste down. I dont want a C section just because of the recovery time and the fact they have to cut your stomach and uterus open. :)
