I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

I read your blog! I'm also going for the natural childbirth. But I had an epidural with my first. I dont' know if it depends on the doctor or the kind of hospital, but I was given an epi and it was lovely. I had no problems. My baby had no problems. My doctor was great. This time I want to try something different. I've heard horrible stories about the epi, but I can't relate to none of them.

Thats good to hear. Thanx for the encouragement. I have to be at the Doc on the 15th May - so will stay positive in not asking. LOL

I know. At first I realy wanted to know - we even asked the Doc to look and LUCKILY the baby wasnt lying right.

Then while I was speaking to family, we said no, we arent finding out and everyone looked at us like 'whatever' and then my one friend said - "thats what you say now, but the curiousity will kill you - Tell us when you know". And just then I decided, man, we will show you we can wait until the end.

I've also found that many mommies who say they waited, say it was an amazing experience when you do find out at birth. Once you find out from the doc its like bayBontheway said 'its like opening your christmas presents early', And I've never done that. Its kinda spoils the surprise I think.

Everyone still thinks we are crazy and that we will sooner or later want to find out, but no, I want everything to be special.

Hi thanks for the note! I have gotten so many nice "welcomes" today. I am due on September 28th so we are really close. It is reassuring to read what others are going through. This is my first child too so I am really unsure what to expect. Everyone this week seems to be obsessed with food. I have not really had any true cravings and find it hard to eat much simply becuase I get full so fast now.

Hey, How is everything going?? I know exactly how you are feeling.. me and my fiance are going to make the sex a surprise aswell but the response that we have received is shocking!! People are actually getting angry with us and saying things like "well dont expect a present then" and its horrible it has seriously made us rethink whether we should find out or not and save the hassle!! But i hope you stick to your goals and keep it a secret!! Congrats hun!!
