~HAHA I thought I was big then~

I bought a gender predictor kit from intelligender.com. They claim 90% accuracy but it's probably all fun and games. If the color of the urine is dark greenish/blue then it's a boy, if the color is yellowish/red then it's a girl. (Look at the bottom of the plastic cup)

Here are the results of the test:

Its a BOY! He is going to be so handsome. I'm so excited. I knew it all along, I could just feel it. We had the ultrasound today and he kept moving around, sucking his thumb, yawning...

Here he is, so cute, rubbing his eye! The baby's name is going to be Ahmad, after his paternal grandfather. I will be calling him A.J. He will be Lebanese, Italian, and a pinch Irish.

Does anyone else feel like a giant buffalo? This is my first baby and I'm huge. I have already gained enough to be 9 months pregnant. Yes, I'm huge. The worst part is I gained it all in the beginning because I had to eat in an effort to stop the nausea. 30 lbs! Are you kidding me? I'm not lying. Looks like I have my work cut out for me this summer :)

I can totally feel this little guy moving. I don't know how to describe it but its strange. Every time I eat, about 10 minutes later I can feel the movement.

8 December 2007

This baby is going to be a boxer! I never imagined that he would be this lively. I swear he loves to make his presence known (like I could forget) every time I get comfortable.

Anyhow, I have my 3D/4D ultrasound next Saturday and I'm so excited! Me and my 6 sister will all be going together :)

13 December 2007

I had another ultrasound today. The baby was really busy grabbing his toes, flipping around, blowing kisses, yawning, stretching, and even giving the UC Tech the finger. He now weighs 1lb. Here are the 21 week ultra sound pictures:

Here is he is blowing kisses!

This is the one where he is giving the finger. You can see it in the upper middle next to his head.

In this picture he is stretching.

15 December 2007

I had the 3D ultrasound today. Poor baby he's camera shy. Here are the pictures:

31 December 2007

My baby has been moving around like crazy. I forget what it was like not to feel him moving. It's such a strange (but good) feeling. I finally got around to painting the nursery, well having my brother paint it and my sisters and I put up the cute little froggy boarder. My husband thinks frogs are feminine and wants this kid to have sports or mean wild animals as his nursery theme. I honestly think he wishes our son would come out playing football... I told him he will have to wait till this baby is at least a year old before submerging him in sports! I took some new pictures of my ever growing belly. There has been a major growth spurt since my last posting. Here is my ridiculous belly at 23 weeks 5 days:

Awww, Boston is wondering what I'm doing...
This is a BIG one!

20 January 2008

A.J. is doing well and growing quickly. I had an ultrasound and doctor's appointment earlier this month and was told he is weighing near 1 lb 14 oz! I also had my glucose screen test earlier this month. It definitely isn't something I would want to drink everyday but it wasn't as horrible as everyone makes it seem. But it did leave me feeling full and a little sick to my stomach for the rest of the day.

Does anyone else have a strange feeling on their side? I feel like every once in a while my side near my left rib cage falls asleep, it is the weirdest feeling? Also, it doesn't just happen when laying on my left side it also happens if I'm laying on my right.

I started taking prenatal yoga and I really like it. I was never really into that sort of thing but I enjoy the atmosphere. It's refreshing to be around other pregnant girls and be able to talk about pregnancy and not think your boring everyone around you.

I finally feel like the end is in sight. I can't wait till April!

Here are some pictures we took the other day (26 weeks 5 days):

I hate how fat & pale my arm is!

12 February 2008

So far so good. Everything seems to be moving along SLOWLY! I'm very tired of being fat and I can't wait for this baby to come, really I'm very excited. It's just that sleeping is a large pain and I can't say that I actually get enough quality sleep, but I know it will all be worth it. I have been working on the nursery and it's coming along. So far I'm just waiting on some pieces of furniture to have it complete.

I took some more pictures of my belly I think I have really had a growth spurt lately because some of my maternity clothes are too tight!

Here are the pictures today at 30 weeks:

25 February 2008

It really feels like I'm going to be pregnant FOREVER! I'm gigantic and it's constantly hard to get comfortable (along with a large list of other- hard to do's). About the only thing I really enjoy right now is my yoga class which helps me get some baby space and breathe! My shower is next week and I'm really excited to put the final touches on A.J.'s room. I had another 3D/4D ultrasound on Friday and I will post some pictures. A.J. was so cute but kinda boring, he was just sleeping the whole time. It's funny how just a yawn is so exciting. Going to that ultrasound really made me anxious for the big day. I can't wait till he comes, I'm way to excited to hang out with him.

I don't know why these pictures came out so big! Sorry. It's appropriate though, the tech said he is measuring 2 weeks large...and his new due date is April 11, 2008!

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in wee hours of the morning .

After a labor lasting approximately 14 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and will be 19 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and a lot of hair.

Here are some pictures at 32 weeks:

I'M HUGE! I have gained 53lbs...

15 March 2008

I finally finished the nursery and I feel so relieved! It looks really cute here are some pictures:

Everything is going well with A.J. Of course I can't wait for him to come, I'm SO sick of being pregnant! I have now gained 56 lbs and I'm very excited to get it off. We started our baby classes and they are pretty interesting. Its really funny to watch my husband pretend to pay attention while his eyelids are slamming shut during the videos and lectures. I do feel a little bad for him :( but I just hope he gets something out of the class.

Here is a picture of my belly at 34 weeks 4 days:

UGLY! I thought the old wives tale was that if you were having a girl she robbed you of your looks. As far as my life goes my son has made me look horrid! ;)

28 March 2008

Ok, I'm ready for this to end! I had my Group B strep test today and I wanted so badly for my doctor to check me and say I was dilated ...she isn't checking till next week's appointment :( I have gained 59 lbs thus far and am so sick of eating everything, it is so overrated. I swear I will NEVER gain this much weight again.
I haven't noticed any signs of labor starting...sadly. I don't even think my baby has dropped yet. I can't breathe at all and my heart burn is uncontrollable. But I am SO excited to meet my son! I'm dying of anxiety.

30 March 2008

Still pregnant...Here are some pictures of 36 weeks 5 days:

4 April 2008

One centimeter...That's all! I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and she check me for dilation for the first time. It hurt. Seriously, I thought I had a high tolerance for pain but that was extremely uncomfortable. I think I will be needing 2 epidurals since I'm sure that exam is not even close to the pain of labor.

I weigh way too much at this point. I never thought I would see the scale go near the numbers I have been achieving lately. Honestly, I thought gaining 60lbs was bad, but it was my limit...until yesterday and I have now gone on to gain 65lbs! No twins either :(

At this point my body aches everywhere, my ankles look like thighs, my heartburn is unbelievable (I'm single handedly keeping TUMS in business), my face is a balloon, and I'm constantly tired. I just wish my baby boy would come out so I can get back to normal, or at least the new normal.

Here are pics at 37 weeks 3 days:

10 April 2008

How depressing! I haven't dilated any more that the one centimeter from last week! I have walked everyday since my last appointment for at least 45 mins-1 hr. hoping it would move things along...wishful thinking.

In fact my doctor thought the baby was breech because of the fact that she couldn't feel anything and there is a hard bulge on the right side of my stomach. For a minute she had me thinking I was going to have a baby and a C-section next week!
I got scanned and luckily he is still head down but very comfortable and not planning on leaving any time soon. Of course my son would be pushing his butt out and that's what I always feel pushing against me. At next weeks appointment my doctor said we will schedule an induction. BUT I wanted to schedule it today :(

The good news is I lost 4lbs. Probably because I had on six layers last week!

14 April 2008

A.J. is here!

It was Sunday night (4/13) and I went to bed around midnight. I hadn't felt anything throughout the day except the usual complaints. I woke up to use the bathroom at 2am and my water broke all over the bathroom. I called my doctor and she told me to go to L&D. I was checked at 3:00 am and I was only 1cm. I got put on Pitocin at 4:30 am because I was only 1.5 cm. The contractions were getting really intense about 7:00 am and, I was checked but only 2.5. I wasn't able to get my epidural until at least 4cm so I was going through these horrid contractions. By 8am I was throwing up and thought that I was going to die because my contractions were coming every 3-4 minutes and there was 2-3 contractions back to back. I was checked again at 8:45am and was 5-6cm so they ordered my epidural. The anthologist arrived about 9:15 am (which seemed like eternity) and started the process. While waiting for the epidural I started to feel such an intense feeling that I needed to push. I kept telling my doctors that I had to push, it was the only way to relieve the contraction. The nurses kept telling me I was going to rupture my cervix if I pushed. I swear I tried not to push but it was uncontrollable and I really thought I was going to die when I got contractions during the epidural. It was 9:40am once my epidural was in, I was checked and I was complete 10cm! It was crazy. Right after I got the epidural I was in heaven, it was wonderful. To all those moms who deliver drug free I congratulate you because that was the hardest, worst pain in the world. After, I was so content from the epidural I looked forward to pushing. My MIL called my sisters and my husband to get to the hospital (we originally thought it was going to be a long day and there was no chance I would deliver before noon!) My sister, SIL, and husband walked in right as I started pushing at 10 am. I actually kicked my husband out of the room because I didn't want to gross him out. At 10:25 am somewhere between my 3rd set of 3 pushes and my 4th baby A.J. arrived screaming and happy! He is happy and healthy weighing 7lbs 9oz and measuring 20 inches long. We are trying nursing but he is finicky and we have had a ton of people stopping by the hospital. I can't wait to go home! I love him so much, he is so handsome.

24 April 2008

I am still in shock that my baby is already here. I love him so much. No way I had a clue how much I was going to love him. He is already growing so fast. I can't believe how alert he is. He isn't great during the night but he could be way worse. I'm so happy with my life and my family, I'm a very lucky girl!

 Congrats...He is adorable!

Maddux - Thursday, 8 May
I think mostly because she would cry when trying to eat and spit up a lot. Also, when I would burp her she would sometimes spray the milk out of her mouth and nose. I don't know if that sounds like your little one but I feel for you if he has reflux...its no fun :(
