So I am in week 39! Yikes! I remember finding out that I was pregnant like it was yesterday. I think that I am going through the panic that I went through that day too. My hubby and I have always been excited (after the initial shock!) and now it is pure anticipation. We have been together since I was 16 and married since 21 and always planned on children but didn't plan when. We knew God would have that part covered.

I don't want my son to come early, but I don't want to have him late either. I still have a lot to do around the house but I am sure I will get it done. We are going to name him Cameron Garrett Brown and the doc thinks he is going to be a good sized boy. Scares me... I wasn't nervous about labor at all until I heard that.

I wish everyone the best througout their entire pregnancy!

KMFITZ - Tuesday, 8 April
I read your post about the weight thing--I'm right there with you. I haven't had an ultrasound since I was about 20 weeks--I have NO clue how much she weighs!! I keep reading about how much everyone's baby weighs and how that's determining their due date and i'm like, holy crap! I only get to know that through ultrasound and I haven't had one and I'm not going to have one for 2 more weeks.

Do you feel ready yet?

xpecting1 - Tuesday, 8 April
last week I asked my doc n she said she could feel him and give us a good estimate but an u/s usually gets you a much better answer but this far along you have to remember it could be +/- a pound. If they will I would ask for an u/s

emma1230 - Tuesday, 8 April
THANK YOU!

brandi0881 - Tuesday, 8 April
My doc just felt my stomach while I was laying down and told me she prob weighed about 6 1/2 lbs. They can do an estimate with an U/S too, but my doc said this late they can be off, more so than like 20 something weeks. Ask your doc if he can give you an estimate, that's what I did!

branbug - Tuesday, 8 April
I wanted to know too, but my doc said U.S isnt very accurate at all this late in pregnancy. Can be a lb off either way or more. My cousins was suppose to be 8lbs he was over 10lbs! Another good way i've heard though is just by them measuring you. If you measure pretty big, i guess that's there best way to know if the baby will be big. I measured on time with my son the whole time he was 7 13oz

I asked my doctor, well my midwife actually about an internal and she told me that her an my doc weren't "Big Checkers" and that they wouldn't check until 38-39 weeks...she says that it doesn't really tell them much anyways since you can be dialated 2-3 cm's and go into labor the next day or in 3 weeks...I guess it makes sense, I've heard that it can get labor going though so I wish my doc would :) Anyways...If you're curious about your docs policy I would just come out and ask.

Oh my gosh! Those are strange dreams! I always dream about my little guy. I dream that he sticks his hand out of my side and wiggles his fingers (weird, i know). And another common dream I have is he stretches through my belly and makes my skin so thin I can see exactly what he looks like...and apparently he looks just like me! So yeah, I have strange dreams, whenever I actually get sleep, lol.

Thanks for asking! It was great! Had lots of fun.. got SO much PINK stuff it's unbelievable. I've never been around little girls... just little boys, so all the pink pink pink is surprising to me! LOL Now I'm washing all her tiny clothes and blankies so we'll be ready for her arrival! I'm getting SO excited and yet a little nervous about going into labor. I had my son almost 7 years ago and it was not a nice experience at all. I'm hoping it goes better this time. I'm getting an epidural ASAP this time though so I'm sure it'll be better... hopefully.

Thank you SO much! I'm on the verge of tears here after reading some of those comments... as if I wasn't feeling bad enough. Ya know? Is it just me or are some of the women on here lashing out? Saying mean things!

Hi!
The only position that relieves my back is on the bed on my hands and knees- I can actually arch my back, and then let my belly hang down, and my back feels some better...it even pops sometimes!
God bless you and your little one!

tiptip - Thursday, 3 April
I had my last u/s at 19 weeks. I had it recorded, but didn't get pictures. I really wanted another one, but the nurse and doctors keep saying that I won't have another one. Next thing is a pelvic exam which I just had today, weekly visits, and then BIRTH! I want to see how chubby my baby is right now. It gives me hope and something to talk and sing about! LOL However...I guess I won't be doing any of that until she gets here!

triafrog - Thursday, 3 April
i wont have another one unless i'm measuring small or too big - but even at that when they estimate the weight they can be so off, like a 1.5 lbs - i dont think I'd want to know! Good Luck!

triafrog - Friday, 28 Mar
Thanks for the comment - I am an over-reactor/thinker so it helps if someone grounds me once in a while! only 37 more 'glorious' days until I'm DONE!

http://www.i-am-pregnant.com/encyclopedia/T/Tests-during-pregnancy/Fetal-Fibronectin-Test-(fFN)

here's the link paste it in your browser and you'll see what i mean ;)

branbug - Friday, 28 Mar
nO that's not dumb don't worry. It's a fetal fibronectin test. If your having signs of preterm labor the do this swab on your cervix which detects a protein the fetus gives off and if it does you are likely to go into labor within the next two wks...if not then highly unlikely you'll go in the next two weeks...not deff. but pretty good test. if you go to the foroum on this site and go to test and then test during pregnancy you'll see one that say's FFn and it tells you all about it. :)

My two cats are the same. Especially my male cat. He can't be away from me and always wants to be picked up. My female follows me around and meows at me all the time. I know they won't harm the baby when he comes, but they sure will be jealous. Good Luck.

Well I'll tell you, those worries are all normal, I'e been there and I've heard that alot. The weird thing is I didn't have those feelings or worries as much with my first pregnancy. I had talked with the doctor and made sure it was safe, researched it online, and I wasn't having any discomfort. But this time, I know exactly what your saying. This last trimester has been the worst, but I've been in pain for almost 6 weeks from all the pelvic pressure. Doctor says everything is normal, but even attempting sex is just a no, no, for me. The spotting would do it for me too, and I would most definately get scared and call the doctor.
I feel bad too, but seriously they helped with making the baby, now they to have to follow along with the process. I only wish I could do something, but seriously I'm afraid he would break me, lol. My pelvis is in too much pain, he's just going to have to deal with it. Thanks for sharing, and I'm glad you feel better for it. Hang in there, only a few more weeks left. Have a great evening!
;-}

Well my attitude at work lately is probably not the best. But I'm not too happy here...so I just don't care;) Does that sound bad?

babygirl1 - Tuesday, 25 Mar
Hi Melgrl, I will be working as long as I can, so you're not the only one. I want to spend as much time with my new little girl once she's here, not before. I'm just lucky I've not been put on bed rest. Send me a comment on my page!! Good luck.

mybundleofjoy - Tuesday, 25 Mar
We are definately on the same page...I plan on also taking 12 weeks off from work after I have the baby also and I plan on working up until I go into labor. So stick in there...we can do it! Take care...
