She's Finally Here!!!
12/27/2007
Well, it's been awhile since I have updated last, but it hasn't been too exciting. I have had several ultrasounds and the latest being on 12/11 and the baby was about 5 lbs. The ultrasound tech has now told me that it should definately be a girl, so now I have the nursery ready and all set for her arrival. On 12/24 I got news that I get to be induced on 1/9/08 so I am thankful that I don't have to wait much longer. I am tired of going to the doctor at least twice a week for an NST & AFI, but it is for the health of the baby I guess. I couldn't talk them into any sooner, but you can't fault me for trying :) Well, only 13 days left and counting!! YEAH!!!!

Had another ultrasound today. The baby is looking great and measuring well, so I guess it is just my belly that is big. The u/s tech said she weighed 2lbs 9oz. I am still using 'she' loosly because the baby still was holding the legs tighly together to get a good look, but the tech said there was definatley no sign of testicles. So she said girl too! I guess I wil just have to wait for the birth to make sure. I am getting excited for that time to arrive, I am going nuts with this nesting faze. I think it has worn off on my son, because he is helping me get things ready and clean too which is great because it gives us more time together and I can use all the help that I can get.

Had my 28 week check up today, and everything is seeming to be going well. I am meausring a little big, and that could be because of the gestational diabetes, so my doc is sending me in for another ultrasound on Wednesday for size measurement, so hopefully we will get a clear view of the sex this time. (Keeping my fingers crossed)

Well, some unhappy news. I was diagnosed with gestional diabetes today. Now I have to test my sugar levels 4 times a day. Hopefully I can control it with diet, but they might put me on medication or insulin.

During the
ultrasounds the baby was being a little stubborn and not giving us a good view
of what is there (or isn't), but there was definitely a lack of a specific
object, so that's why we are going with girl (the ultrasound tech said 95% girl, but keep my receipts :P)
YEH!

Well, this 'lil one was being very stubborn and didn't want to reveal the sex. The ultrasound tech believes it is a girl, but she didn't want to give any guarantees so I have to go back in on Sept. 10th. I hope this isn't a sign to come for the baby being defiant.
