Hi my name is Melissa and i and expecting my first on June -25-2008 and i cant wait.I'm married to a wonderful man names Billy and we have 2 boys we adoped Austin and james age 6 twins. Im so excited to be so close to time to have the baby by the way its a boy woudnt u know we really wanted a girl but hey u cant be picky u just gonna be happy hes healthly and we are .So i went to the doctor fri. and i'm 1 1/2 cm. ditated. So I'm really hopeing he'll come on out any day now .The doctors says if i go to my due date the 25th he'll be 8 pounds yikes!!!
JUNE 25-08
So today i went to the doctor and im still only 1 1/2 cm. dilated so the doctors said give it one more week and he should come by them if not hes gonna indunce me or should i say he gonna break my water on July 2-08 So wish me luck i really hope he come on his own before then.
Well i had baby William on july 2nd-08 i went in 4 my apointent and i was 3cm. and i went ahead and let him break my water .i went to 5 cm. and soon relized natural was not gonna be 4 me the pain was bad real bad so i asked for the epi.and i had to wait to get fluids first so i reallly dont know how many cm.ers i was the proably 6 when i got the epi. and let me tell u it was great i strongly recomend it to everyone it was as bad as i thought the contraction hurt way worst then the epi. anyways he was 8 pounds and 2.8 0z and 20 1/2 inchs long. he so buitful when i get a sec. i will post is picture. thaks for all the comments im glad i was in your thoughts you all are in mine to .

july-31-08 Well baby william willl be 1 month Aug.2 and he gets his 1st shots on Aug.4-08 he belle button has already healed up and he weights 9 pounds nad 2 oz .Ive stopped breastfeeding it was just to much i could never get any sleep and now he on formula and it isnt working out so good for him it keeps upsetting his tummy so the doctor switched it and that ever worst so they told me to put some baby rice in it and it actually worked he hasnt threw up so far but i just started it today but it really seem much better.

I heard that as well about the rice cereal, but those "experts" that say what to do or not change there minds too often for me. I feel like we all turned out great getting cereal in the bottle, so that is why I did it. (Plus at night it keeps my little guy fuller for longer, and I only put like 3-4 teaspoons in his bottle)

Now adays "they" tell you not to put rice in the bottle unless medically necessary. BUT when we were kids, it was normal for all kids to have rice in their bottles by now. We all turned out fine!! To be perfectly honest I started giving my son cereal at 6 weeks.

HI, My baby is the same, she just cries and cries until I finally give in and let her sleep with me. For the past 3 nights, I have been enduring the crying and making her sleep in the bassinet. I am too worried about rolling over on her. I didn't know I was such a deep sleeper but lately I have been so tired. How are you doing?

I have one of those little "beds" that the baby lays in so you don't roll over on them. I used it the 2nd night we were home from the hospital. I had been so excited about it. But, when I woke up, my weight had cause the thing to lean to one side and the baby had rolled up right on the padded edge of it. This was very dangerous as she could have suffocated. I haven't used it since.

I hope all went well. We got induced on Monday and had Baby Cru on Wednesday the 2nd! He was 6.3 pounds 19 inches! I will post some pics soon!!!

hey i had my baby on Sunday at 3:17 pm
i actually noticed spotting and the doctor said to go in to get checked then i stared gettting contractions i was so happy but in pain at the same time.i have pics up on my profile

Well, I think the birth classes were kind of a waste of time actually anyway, as for the breathing, just try to take slow controlled breaths..... its a way of focusing on something other than the contractions. Kind of like exercising, you want to get oxygen to the muscles (Uterus) so that they are more effective, otherwise if your tense and breathing really quick, you put out just as much energy and it doesn't do as much work for you. The biggest thing for me was/is to focus on my shoulders and hands. I tend to tense up in those areas when I'm in pain or stressed, so I'm going to try to remember to keep those areas as relaxed as possible. Good Luck girl! You'll be fine and be holding your little baby before you know it!

I had both of my previous births natural. The first one was long and full of back labor, so really she was the most difficult, and the second one, I was induced with, so I had pitocin, but no pain meds for either of them, and it went really fast, and wasn't bad. People tend to think that with Pitocin, you might have a harder time going natural, but that wasn't the case with me. So this time, (getting induced Saturday if I don't go into labor before that) I am again going for natural. My reason behind it is that with natural childbirth, if you can just get though the labor, it is amazing how great you feel afterwards. There is a natural release of endorphins that are blocked if you have meds, and also I swear I was up taking a shower and putting my makeup on soon after delivery!!! haha. That being said - If you want to try natural, I say, go for it, practice breathing, maybe pressure points, etc, but you can always keep pain meds/epidural as an option if it just gets to the point that you can't handle it, and don't let anyone make you feel bad for ANY choice you make. You have a big job in front of you and everyone else just stands by while you do the work, so I think that entitles you to make the decisions.

well having a section is very sore after i was very sore for anything up to 12 weeks after but i got the staples which made it worse. how do you think you want to go id try and stick it out if i could
