I am Melissa Wells and my wonderful husband is Jon. We have an 8 year old daughter, Kayla, who can't wait to have a little brother or sister. We are excited after about a year of trying to have a baby, we have finally conceived. It is still early and with the possiblity of twins, it just makes it even more exciting.

Update:

Went to the dr and confirmed only one baby. Heartbeat was 142. Didn't get to hear it, just got to see it on u/s. Morning sickness is setting in and just feel sick all the time. Hopefully that will go away soon. We go back to the dr on 3-28 for a follow up, so hopefully we can hear the h/b then.

Well we just went for another ultra sound and we are 4 days farther along than they thought. New due date is 10/27/2008! Yeah, no more halloween bean!!! I am happy about that since my husband and I met on friday the 13th, would be crazy to have a halloween baby on top of that. Well, we also found out that we are having.....a GIRL!!! My husband is a little sad, but it is ok. I know he is just going crazy with all the girls in the house and he wanted another guy around, but maybe next go around! We will have to wait and see on that one. The baby ended up being too long to do the test for down syndrom, so we will have to do a different test on the 23rd. It is only three more weeks, so I guess we will have to wait and see to make sure our precious little one is ok! Lets keep the prayers and fingers crossed!
