I am Melissa Wells and my wonderful husband is Jon. We have an 8 year old daughter, Kayla, who can't wait to have a little brother or sister. We are excited after about a year of trying to have a baby, we have finally conceived. It is still early and with the possiblity of twins, it just makes it even more exciting.
Update:
Went to the dr and confirmed only one baby. Heartbeat was 142. Didn't get to hear it, just got to see it on u/s. Morning sickness is setting in and just feel sick all the time. Hopefully that will go away soon. We go back to the dr on 3-28 for a follow up, so hopefully we can hear the h/b then.

Well we just went for another ultra sound and we are 4 days farther along than they thought. New due date is 10/27/2008! Yeah, no more halloween bean!!! I am happy about that since my husband and I met on friday the 13th, would be crazy to have a halloween baby on top of that. Well, we also found out that we are having.....a GIRL!!! My husband is a little sad, but it is ok. I know he is just going crazy with all the girls in the house and he wanted another guy around, but maybe next go around! We will have to wait and see on that one. The baby ended up being too long to do the test for down syndrom, so we will have to do a different test on the 23rd. It is only three more weeks, so I guess we will have to wait and see to make sure our precious little one is ok! Lets keep the prayers and fingers crossed!

Went to our 26 check up yesterday. Baby is doing great, he is so active he won't stop wiggling in there. I love feeling him! Anways we are scheduled to give birth by c-section on hubby's birthday. He is so excited to share his day with his son.

i am giving different 'jobs' to a few people to help out, but my husband and i basically want to have the shower the exact way that we want it. so, we are delegating duties ( i am sorry if it sound harsh), but we did not want our coed shower to be a burden on anyone. if you have any cool ideas, please share. thanks.

OMG! I'm so frustrated! When I go to the 41 week page there is no one there! Everyone I've been talking to for months has had their babies and I'm still waiting! I'm being induced on Thursday (41 weeks, 4 days). I REALLY wanted a natural delivery but he just wont come out! Come on, Caleb! Find the exit already!

I did the intelligender thing too! I did mine at 11 weeks, it said girl, but we'll see I guess! What I have been told is that If your ultrasound says girl (especially as early as they told you) it's not quite as accurate as if they tell you boy....I'm guessing because lots of times the penis isn't showing yet, or is hiding! It's all fun though, the intelligender is a cheap fun way to guess, whether right or wrong. Let me know how yours turns out!!!!

thanks! i will check it out for sure! and i had a scan at 15 weeks and they told me, i was having a boy, and every scan since then, it has been a boy, but i do agree that 14 weeks is a little early to tell too!

Thanks for the advice. I ending up seeing ym doc because she was worried about my blood pressure. Turns out I had a migraine...first for everything right? Some gave me some medicine and it took a while to get rid of it but I feel better today. Thanks!
